Chapter 54: The Demon Lord ran away
Amelia decided she had caused enough trouble in one afternoon and decided to sleep. She fell asleep shortly after getting inside the bed. She took over one bed and the girls will have to share one bed tonight. When she woke up there was a knock on the door and the gloomy Liang Fei walked in.
"You said I should tell you when I'm ready." He said and watched her get up. She walked behind him towards the old man's room.
"Huh...still alive?" She took his pulse and looked at the people in the room in astonishment. The old Madame, the first uncle and Liang Fei are in the room.
"What's wrong?" First uncle asked her.
Amelia shook her head and handed a small cup and a fasting pill to Liang Fei.
"What are these?"
"The pill is to fill his stomach and give him energy. The juice is to rejuvenate his internal system. He is too weak if I heal him now it might have adverse effects."
After checking that the two items don't have any harmful properties he allowed the nurse to feed him. After taking the fasting pill, the old man felt the pain in his stomach subsides and he was able to drink the rejuvenating juice.
"I have to see and give him the juice once a day for three days."
"Where did you get this juice from?" Liang Fei asked her.
"From a tree." Amelia said in response.
"If you don't want to say just don't say it."
"I really got it from a weeping willow."
"Whatever." Liang Fei thought she doesn't want to share her secrets.
The fasting pill will last for two days before he start feeling hungry again. When Amelia got to the room she found the two girls whispering and eating something, as soon as she came inside, the food disappeared from their view.
Amelia pretended not to see it. She went to shower for dinner and went to sleep. "Cousin, are you not going to eat?" They are talking about the family dinner. Amelia is not so bored as to eat with people who will keep glancing at her with scorn throughout the meal.
"I am too tired." She fell asleep after that. The two girls looked at each other and couldn't help but marvel at her ability to fall asleep so fast.
The grandmother also didn't come to have dinner this evening because of her chaotic thoughts. She has been abusing that man this entire time, will he take revenge on her? These kinds of thoughts rang on her head all night, so much so that she couldn't fall asleep.
"Cousin, can you tell us about the Jiangkang base. Are there powerful supernatural power users?" The curious sisters excitedly asked Amy a bunch of questions and the three people only slept when it was already very late after they came back from dinner with the family which Amelia will always avoid.
The next two days Amelia had been administering the medicine personally until the old man finally opened his eyes and looked at her.
"Cough cough." The old man started coughing and just couldn't stop. After drinking a glass of water from Amelia he looked at Amelia with slight suspicion.
"How come it is you?" The old man asked with disgust. He really doesn't like this young lady whose mother seduced his son who had always been obedient.
When he heard of her existence he became certain that it was the woman who had designs on his son's successful career and coveted the position of main wife and her child the heir. But his son still had a bit of conscience and did not allow that to happen, now all that is left of his sins is this little girl.
Looking at how beautiful she turned out to be as a young woman, one can only imagine how pretty her mother was when she seduced his son. Although he was sick he doesn't lack grandchildren to take care of him why does it have to be this bastard?
"No wonder someone was trying to kill you. You are an un pleasant person old man Liang. Look at your attitude towards your savior! I should have let you die from a common cold like a peasant." She took out her things and left the room.
The old man is left behind with a gloomy expression. Indeed, his wife had done all sort of abuse and even starving him. While naming all his bad deeds back then which he never thought she was aware of.
He is angry beyond belief by her actions and now being told that someone else is aware of what happened to him gave him great shame and humiliation. It has been two days and the stomach began to make rumbling noise.
He stood up with some efforts and put on proper clothes before getting ready for dinner tonight.
Amelia packed up all her belongings having achieved her goal for coming here. Yesterday she had secretly gave the old man a nightmare inducing medicine.
As long as he closes his eyes he will be able to see all his bad memories. This will make him more irritable even if he had plans to forgive his wife. The medicine is not too strong and will not make him lose his mind but he is in for a ride.
Seeing Amelia leaving so late in the day the people became stunned but she just said that grandpa is cured and there is no need for her to stay anymore. She gave the second brother, the three sisters and the head of the family the smart bracelets as parting gifts.
They accepted her generosity and did not ask too much about how she can afford so much expensive stuff. These people clearly do not have any goodwill towards her but they will not hesitate to take her things.
When Amelia reached the door with her travel bag she ran into a familiar face, one she hasn't seen ever since coming in the Liang family. Liang Song.
When he saw her, his face became stunned and then a fury began to fill his eyes and he began to mobilize his abilities. His hands clenched and red lightning danced around it, he took a step forward but the girl only gave him her back.
"Sigh...such a hot temper, how can you give me little nieces and nephews to play with if you end up scaring away any potential sister in law?" She then left him behind using her movement technique.
Liang Song only blinked and the next moment he couldn't see her shadow. 'Such speed!' His eyes shook feeling his recently charged up power get extinguished along with his pent up anger.
He soon came back to his senses and roared her name in anger. "Amelia!"
That night during dinner Liang Song told all of his family members that Amelia is the one in charge of the powerful but still growing Jiangkang base.
Everyone was shocked. The second young master remembered how he has chased her out of the guest room. On the other hand, old Madame couldn't stop shaking in fear after hearing the blood massacre carried out on Amelia's orders.
The table became silent, even the previously fuming old man Liang was lost for words. A leader of an entire base came to treat him and even provided mysterious medicine to cure him and he just....
It wasn't hard for Amelia to book a relatively good room for the night and then leave as early as possible tomorrow. She has achieved her goal for coming here. The old man will make the life of his wife very difficult after what she did to him but most importantly, that old hag won't have a chance to be Mrs. Wei in the future.
While she read a good book before going to sleep the night sky became gloomy as if painted in black ink. A storm is brewing in the depths of the clouds promising to engulf the entirety of the central base....

In the middle of a quiet room there is a towel rack with several white towels hanging from it. A distance away is what seems to be a pool but instead of clear water, the pool is filled to the brim with a sticky red liquid. The pool is silent and peaceful but in the next moment a man emerged from the bottom of this pool.
With his body that had just came out of the blood pool is no longer as thin as before, and has also lost the sicky pale color. He looks healthy with compact abdominal muscles making him look sexy and appealing.
He walked to the small tub and washed out the blood from his body and walked to the towel rack took a towel and wiped himself dry. Upon close inspection, Qing Xuan has changed to a seductive and sinful beauty.
The cold eyes have gained a shine to them, making him look to be full of spirit, his red lips have and that straight nose his hair has grown to just below his shoulders. His entire being has changed into a dangerous beauty that people cant help but take a second glance.
Qing Xuan is now done refining his body and now he has a devil core located in his heart. This is where his devil powers will be stored and he will retrieve it and use it whenever he wants just like the nuclei in the head.
These days he is leaving the best life even when he was young his body used to be unsteady and weak but now he is packing 50kg power in his punch. The mysterious cultivation in his memories has allowed him to cultivate faster especially when inside the blood pool.

Remembering where the headquarters of the Qing family, he didn't hesitate to send a large bolt of lightning trying to aim for the family head study.

Large and imposing mansion of the base leader is violently torn apart. The upper three floors turned to rubbles.
Loud screams rang out, the soldiers who are supposed to guard the base leader and his family went to rescue people. To Qing Xuan's irritation, all the people he wanted dead survived.
The base became chaotic as the people came out to watch the spectacle. Someone actually dared to blow up the home of the base leader.
He became even more dissatisfied when he saw the meddlesome people from the base hospital taking away his prey. Without much thought he blew up the ambulance just as the medical staff is about to pull Mrs. Qing inside.
The staff became petrified at the sudden turn of events, people also realized where the attacks came from. One by one as if under a spell they turned to the sky where a figure quietly floated. Long hair blowing gently behind him as he watched the people on the ground as if watching a group of ants.
"Aunty is still as inconsiderate as ever, I went through the trouble of coming home to see my family and she decides to go to some hospital. Bad manners I say. What do you think father?" Qing Xuan slowly descended the sky.
When he is finally where everyone can see his face clearly they were stunned. Is this human?
"Qing Xuan! What have you done?" Qing Ze looked at his son as if he wants to murder him with his eyes.
He cares a great deal for his face, but now this son of his has gone and did something like injure his stepmother and then prevented her from going to get the care she needs.
"I gave my family a present. Think of it as my sincere feelings of affection for the lot of you." He smiled beautifully. Qing Xuan before was a handsome young man with features that leaned towards his mother rather than his father. The only thing he got from his father was the tall structure.
Now he is not just handsome but he can also be described as a beautiful man. His large Phoenix eyes has brilliance that its lacked before as a child that had always felt unloved by his own family.
Qing Ze is a wise man, looking at the boy who used to want his love and approval look at him as if looking at a stranger, and the dangerous feeling radiating from Qing Xuan is enough to deter him from calling his men to arrest this rebellious son of his.
Just as he is at a loss, many powerful auras came forth from all directions and quickly subdued the people from the Qing family and went back to the shadows pulling them along.
Using the distraction, Qing Ze walked to the unconscious woman who seems to be suffering from a burnt wound on her shoulder. It is large and hideous, if it is not treated properly she will die here today. He took her and disappeared into the shadows. On the side the siblings attacked Qing Xuan without even asking anything.
The step brother had just come back this morning and his face is still pale from the vomit inducing medicine Amelia had given him and his comrades a few days ago.
His space blades sliced towards Qing Xuan followed closely by a torrent of wind blades from the girl. He smiled charmingly, his entire form exuding a lazy charm. A blood red light surrounded his body like a barrier and the two attacks didn't reach him.
This is a barrier talent he devoured from a sacrifice a few months before. As he grows strong, all his powers increase in strength as well.
"Little brother and little sister sure are full of vigor." He raised his hand and sent a strong small tornado towards the two and left them inside as they get tossed round and round by the strong air force. Their bodies is getting cut everywhere.
When he finally released them, the meaty places in their bodies have turned into meaty paste. The girl is even more miserable as her previously perky breasts have been flattened. The scene made several people run away while hold their churning stomachs.
Qing Xuan smiled, the two miserable people on the ground used to bully him all the time and because of his sickly physique he couldn't fight back. Seeing that his siblings are now subdued he raised his hand to give a signal.
Several shadowy figures came out of nowhere and entered the scene. They looked through the rubles to find their targets, these are all the Qing family servants that used to bully him since his mother's death. "Go to the Liang's and bring me that doctor." His previously pleasant voice is suddenly laced with deep seethed anger.
Amelia had woken up when that first bolt of lightning fell, she put on her combat outfit and walked towards the scene but she walked leisurely without any panic in her steps. She happened to get there just as the two guards dragged Liang Fei in front of Qing Xuan.
"Just as indifferent as ever, I want to see how indifferent you will be when I'm done with you." He pulled Liang Fei's chin up so he can face him. He lifted up his face and gave a cold look to the Liang family that has come.
Old man Liang trembled but still opened his mouth "This young hero, my family Fei Fei may have accidentally offended you can you be magnanimous and forgive his offense?" The humble posture of an old man made the onlookers expression turn sour.
"Hahaha.. This old man, are you willing to trade places with him then? If you are, that will be a very touching image." Qing Xuan said generously.
Old man Liang showed hesitation on his face making the charming smile on Qing Xuan's face deepened. "It doesn't have to be you per say, it can be anyone from your family. If someone is willing to trade their own lives for this doctor over here, I will let the matter slide."
The Liang family looked at each other, every one looked on the ground while others looked away. What a joke, trade your own life for someone else? Where can there be something so good?
"Well then, please go back before I lose my temper and do something...crazy." The Liang family members scattered like mice but they didn't go too far so they can watch the show.
Just as the demon lord is about to torture Liang Fei to death, a chuckle sounded from the shadows. It wasn't loud but everyone heard it and turned to see just which hero dares to challenge this ruthless man who destroyed the Qing family home and killed most of the high level super powers of the Qing family.
A woman in combat outfit and a large saber in her hand came to the view looking at the demon lord and her cousin who is kneeling on the ground with a bleeding skull.
"Cousin, when did you offend a demonic cultivator?" Amelia came to the light. Her perfect figure made the several people's eyes shine with interest.
"Demonic cultivator?" Qing Xuan's heart skipped at her words. He knows what he is cultivating is an unorthodox route but he had confidence that no one will know it at a glance. Just who is this girl?
Amelia used her mental power to lift her kneeling cousin from the ground and pulled him to her side. Looking at his eyes that do not show any weakness, she gave him a nod of approval. His body is covered in bruises and his clothes are tethered it seems he was being pulled on the gravel road.
She healed him and asked him "Do you know that man?" Hearing her question, Liang Fei looked at her and shook his head.
"Why are you bullying my cousin demon lord?"
"He owes me a life." Qin Xuan said with a ruthless glint in his eyes. "I don't care if he is your cousin Amelia, as of today, he is my hostage. If you deny me my vengeance you are also my enemy." Qing Xuan said with a crackling voice, his eyes started shining and the whites turned blood red.
"He says he doesn't know you, and I believe him. Which brings us to why do you hold so much hate for a man who has never done anything to you?" Amelia watched his expression change slightly at hearing her words.
'Another reborn spirit.' She mused.
'I will take this opportunity to take him under my wing. He is a brilliant scientist and if I save him from this little demon, he will be eternally grateful to me.' Amelia thought internally. She wanted to pat herself in the back for thinking of a clever plan to have a renowned scientist by her side.
"Whether he admits it or not is of no concern to me." The devilish handsome Qing Xuan walked towards Amelia and stood a small distance from her. "Saving him is not out of question, all you have to do is to give yourself to me. You and that hospital base of yours~"
Surprised by the man's straight forwardness she became momentarily stunned. Coming back to her senses she sniffed lightly and frowned. "If you are going to use blood for body refinement at least refine all the blood qi lingering on your skin." Amelia frowned at the pungent smell of blood.
This demon lord doesn't seem to be experienced. "Hahaha.. you even know this, then I will have to trouble you to teach me slowly as my servant." Qin Xuan said in an arrogant tone. Amelia just raised an eyebrow hearing his words.
"I don't mind your proposal since the strong eat the weak but...are you worthy?" She moved her saber and a sharp intent permeated from her body sending a wave of destruction outwards as she took a step forward.
Qing Xuan's pupils dilated in shock feeling the immense pressure from this girls body. She became a god of war in a matter of seconds. Everyone couldn't look her in the eyes.
"Now, are you ready to answer this lady's question demon lord?" She looked at him like a beast looking at prey. She is ready to attack if he says one wrong word.
"I Will have you as my own woman sooner or later dear Amelia." The lazy tone sounded but it is clear he is wavering because of the pressure from her body.
"Until then, scram." She said and he took his people disappearing in the blink of an eye.
