Chapter 8: He Is Not My Brother!
Grandma Shen waited for both Yu Han and Feng Xi to return. She had to stop her plan of going on a fishing trip with her friends after Jiang Zi Xuan called her and told her how Yu Han banned his entry into Cloud Nine Suites. She was ready to confront her grandson about the same.
Outside, Shen Yu Han halted the car at the porch and stepped out first to open the door for Lu Feng Xi, who had been engrossed in whatever God knows on her cell phone.
"Come out," he said coldly, causing Feng Xi to snap out of her world. She gave him a side glare and exited the car. Pushing past him, she headed inside.
Yu Han silently followed her, only to find his grandmother in the living room.
"Grandma, what happened? Why are you here?" He asked in a worried tone. She usually used to notify him before coming to his mansion.
"Why am I here?" Grandma Shen repeated his question, "You tell me, what have you done to Xiao Xuan?" She had asked in an angry tone.
"Oh! Now I see. That peacock whined to you on the phone." Shen Yu Han gritted his teeth as the mere name of Zi Xuan irked him. The anger he had suppressed until now was ready to burst out.
"Where is your manners?" He is your brother. How could you randomly call him names?" Grandma Shen was furious. It was not the first time Shen Yu Han had done something like that to Jiang Zi Xuan.
"Enough! I told you already, he is not my brother, but a cousin! I have no bro—" Shen Yu Han raised his voice in anger. He wanted to say more but stopped and pinched between his brows.
"Anyway, stop meddling in my decisions," Shen Yu Han stated and glared at Lu Feng Xi. He did not want to argue with his grandmother anymore.
"Meddling? How am I meddling? You keep doing such mischief. Not acknowledging him as your brother and even raising your voice at me." Grandma Shen was furiously said, but her words seemed to have triggered Shen Yu Han's anger even further.
"Preaching about Zi Xuan in front of me is meddling in my decisions," Shen Yu Han said and he grabbed Lu Feng Xi's hand, pulling her to the front.
Feng Xi had been enjoying the scene, where the mighty Shen Yu Han was being scolded by his grandmother but he suddenly pulled her hand.
"See, this is the result of your meddling, Grandma. You set up this damn marriage, and I have to comply with it just because you made some stupid promises, and your lovely grandson," He pointed at Lu Feng Xi and said, "Zi Xuan was planning to make my wife divorce me and marry him."
"What?" Grandma Shen looked at Shen Yu Han in shock, and Lu Feng Xi was equally startled. She hadn't expected him to divulge this matter to Grandma.
"What's that look, Feng Xi?" Shen Yu Han looked at Lu Feng Xi and added sarcastically, "Zi Xuan, he turned my Cloud Nine Suite into a dating hotspot with new women every day and told me he would make me divorce you. How dare he!"
His accusations against Zi Xuan infuriated Feng Xi. "Stop speaking wrong about Zi Xuan," she threatened him.
"Why should I? You should know what kind of man he is!" Yu Han stated.
"Yu Han, I never meddled in any of your businesses," Grandma Shen intervened too.
"I have endured enough because of you, Grandma. I even gave him a position in the Shen Corporation as Managing Director in the Marketing Department. Do you know how many talented people I have had to pass over to choose someone like him? It was all because of Grandma, and you say you're not meddling in my business?"
Yu Han let go of Feng Xi's hand and ran his fingers through his hair.
"I would have let it all go, but divorce? Who is he to tell me to divorce Feng Xi? That bastard is already lurking around a lot of girls every day. Grandma thinks Zi Xuan is the purest man alive on this earth. He thinks he can take my wife away from me!" Yu Han chuckled. He glared at Grandma Shen as he demanded an answer for Zi Xuan's meddling in his matter.
"And who the hell do you think you are?" Lu Feng Xi couldn't keep silent anymore. She now knew that he did not intend to marry her or even Lu Yun Xi. It was all because of a promise.
"I can see why my sister didn't want to marry you and ran away." Feng said sarcastically, "Who in the world would want to marry a person like you?"
"What do you mean by that? I am infinite times better than Zi Xuan," Yu Han remarked to escalate her anger. "Your sister did not dare to say before me that she never liked me. Do you even know how much Yun Xi spends on my cards? Don't ever blame me for this marriage. Blame Yun Xi, who cheated on me and ran away. You should be lucky that your family is still surviving after what their eldest daughter did to me," he blurted out everything that was in his heart.
"Do you think you are an angel? You are nothing but a—" She was about to say the worst thing she knew about Yu Han, but she noticed Shen Yu Han rushing toward Grandma.
"Grandma!" Yu Han shouted as his grandmother fell unconscious. He patted her cheeks, but she did not wake up.
"Wha—What happened to Grandma?" Lu Feng Xi quickly went to Grandma and wanted to touch her but Shen Yu Han pushed her hands away.
"Don't!" Shen Yu Han yelled at her. He carried his grandmother to the room while Feng Xi's eyes welled up in tears.

Xiao Xuan- This here means "Little Xuan" which Grandma Shen used to refer to Zi Xuan.
