Chapter 10: Immoral Jerk!

Lu Feng Xi was left speechless. Why did she have to admire Shen Yu Han just because he was her husband?

"You immoral jerk," Feng Xi muttered under her breath before leaving the room to check on Grandma Shen. As she headed downstairs, she suddenly felt that the mansion's one side was completely covered in darkness.

"What is his weird obsession with black and dark?" She mumbled and reached outside the room, where Grandma Shen was present.

Feng Xi found Grandma Shen conversing with Lady Bao in a hushed tone, which she couldn't hear.

"Grandma!" Feng Xi pronounced as she entered the room, "You scared me to death earlier." She settled before the grandmother and hugged her. "It wasn't supposed to happen. Are you alright?" Feng Xi pulled away and glanced at Grandma Shen.

"I'm fine. But what was that earlier, Feng Xi? You two were arguing and fighting with each other, blaming each other," Grandma Shen said and sighed. "This old lady's heart is weak," she added.

"Forgive us, Grandma. It wasn't my intention," Feng Xi replied, feeling guilty of her action. However, it wasn't entirely her fault. Yu Han yelled at her, causing her to fight with him.

"Whatever happened was in the past, Xi Xi," Grandma Shen said affectionately. Feng Xi peered into her eyes. "Yu Han did wrong, but he needs your love. You see, he lost his father a long ago and then his mother…," she paused, not wanting to tell Feng Xi how Yu Han's mother left her son after her divorce. "You need to take care of Yu Han," Grandma Shen asserted in a gentle tone.

"How am I supposed to take care of him?" Lu Feng Xi queried. "He always irritates me and even blames me for those things, which I never did," Feng Xi complained. She had a long list of grievances against Yu Han in her mind.

Grandma Shen hummed in understanding. She knew her grandson was not a saint, but all his acts weren't from his heart.

"Grandma, not only Yu Han's face remains grim and dark, but the bedroom we share exudes the same energy. I always feel like I'm in a black hole. I think his personality became like a jerk because of that reason only," Feng Xi remarked while gazing sharply at Grandma Shen.

Lady Bao, who was standing at the other side of the bed, smiled to hear Feng Xi while Grandma Shen agreed with her remarks.

"Is that so? Why has no one ever mentioned to me that I exude darkness?" Yu Han's cold voice came from behind her, sending a shiver down her spine.

Promptly she turned to look. "You! Why do you have to appear like a ghost?" She annoyingly asked while making a face at her.

"Why is your bedroom covered in darkness? Is that the reason you never let me enter that place?" Grandma Shen asked him this time.

"I love black, that's why," Yu Han asserted. He then shot a glance at Feng Xi. "Stop complaining about my habits. If you want to live with me, then embrace my likes and dislikes," he stated.

"See, Grandma! His way of speaking is what irks me. He thinks I'm his servant," Feng Xi quickly complained to Grandma Shen.

"Yu Han, you have no right to speak with my Xi Xi this way," Grandma Shen reprimanded him.

"Why is Grandma calling her Xi Xi? Is she on her team already?" Yu Han asked.

"I was always on my granddaughter-in-law's side," Grandma Shen affirmed.

Feng Xi felt victorious and stuck out her tongue at Yu Han to tease him. "Leave us alone or I'll throw you out of this room," she threatened Yu Han.

"What?" Yu Han chuckled. "Fine. I'll leave and tell your parents that their dear daughter doesn't wish to see them," Shen Yu Han said with a sarcastic tone. He pivoted on his feet when Feng Xi stopped him.

"Hey! How can you do this?" Lu Feng Xi stood up and ran past him. "You should have said it sooner," she said and stopped just next to him. "Grandma, I'll see you later," she stated and ran out to the living room to see her parents.

"Why are you standing here? Go and sit with the Lu family. I'll come too," Grandma Shen said and prepared to get out of the bed. Lady Bao came to her side and helped Grandma Shen to get down from the bed.

"Don't say anything to her parents. They are upset about their eldest daughter's step. Be respectful toward them. They are your in-laws," Grandma Shen made him understand.

Yu Han nodded nonchalantly and held his grandmother's hand. "Then, we shall go together," he said and walked out of the room with his grandmother.

Lu Feng Xi was happy to see her parents. She ran to them and hugged both of them simultaneously. Tears welled up in her eyes as she missed their warmth. Lady Yao had gestured for the servants to place the snacks and tea on the table.

"We also missed you," her mother, Lu Mingli said while Lu Guangting caressed her hair. Finally, they pulled away when Feng Xi asked them to take the seat on the couch.

"Are you doing well?" Lu Mingli asked after she settled beside her husband on the couch.

"Mom, I am doing well," said Lu Feng Xi while wiping her tears away and asking them about Lu Yun Xi, "Is there any news of Sister Yun Xi?" She sat across from her parents as she patiently waited for their answer.

"No, we haven't received any news," Lu Guangting angrily replied. He was utterly disappointed by his eldest daughter. Yun Xi was her pride, and she crushed it. "Don't even talk about her with me. She has no place in my house anymore!" He pronounced.

Lu Mingli understood her husband's reaction, but she asked him not to say that.

"Mom is right. Sister Yun Xi must be scared of Yu Han, that's why she decided to run away," she murmured.

"Is he not treating you well?" Instantly Lu Guangting inquired.

"Ahh, that's not the case, Dad. It's just that Yu Han's personality isn't welcoming and heart warming at all," Feng Xi stated.

Shen Yu Han witnessed the whole scene along with his grandmother. He chuckled when Feng Xi didn't praise him. But he understood her hatred toward him. Grandma Shen decided to control the situation and welcomed Feng Xi's parents.

Upon hearing her voice, the three of them stood up from their respective places. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lu greeted Grandma Shen while Yu Han walked up to Feng Xi.

"You want your parents to get stressed. How could you speak against me?" He gritted his teeth at her while whispering.

"It's your fault," Feng Xi quickly replied.

Yu Han securely wrapped his arm around her and drew her close. "The Lu family's youngest daughter is bubbly. She loves to admire many men at once," he suddenly said, thus grabbing everyone's attention toward them. Feng Xi widened her eyes to hear her remark, who was smirking at her.

"What does that mean?" Lu Guangting asked.

"Nothing, Dad. Why don't we all sit and talk?" Feng Xi quickly handled the situation and asked Yu Han to let her go.

"How can you walk, Shen Yu Han?" Both Lu Guangting and Lu Mingli said at the same time. They both were completely shocked to see him standing on his legs.

"Well, it's a long story. I'm sorry for not telling you about this before. I was wondering if I keep lying about my disability, would Yun Xi stay by my side? As expected, she ran away. However, I got the perfect person for me," Yu Han pronounced and gazed at Feng Xi. "I got Xi Xi," he stated with a fake smile.

Feng Xi rolled her eyes when he called her affectionately 'Xi Xi'. She had seen a lot of actors, but none could beat Yu Han in acting. Only she knew what kind of jerk he was!

Grandma Shen and Feng Xi's parents smiled to hear that when Yu Han excused themselves saying, "My wife and I will return in a minute," and he dragged her with him.

"Yu Han is quite happy with his marriage with Feng Xi. Don't worry about them. I know they married in an unfavorable circumstance, but they both are suited well to each other," Grandma Shen pronounced after they were all seated on the couch.

"We are happy to learn that. Yu Han can finally walk. We are extremely delighted to see him without a wheelchair," Lu Guangting said with a bright smile.
