Chapter 3: 3

While the Pals maintained the camp, I was out and about with Nite. We are looking for someone or some Pal to manage a more medical production side. However, I didn't expect we'd run into some gangster knock offs trying to fuck a group of bees. Ten Beegardes, a deceased Beegarde being raped, and one Elizabee according to the info stuffed into my head by the Paldex function of that tablet. They're supposedly good at medical production and making honey is a given… plus these gangsters just seem to be creeps. Jumping off Nite and into a nearby tree, I briefly catch my eyes turning red due to a Tanzee looking at me as I land on a branch.

Swinging down and about from the tree into a crouch, another one of my traits triggered it seems. It was called "Background Character" for some reason, yet I knew it was mocking my unnatural stealth habit. Thinking of holding a stone spear from my bag, Palsium gathered in my hand as the spear appeared. Pulling my arm back, the blue light of Pal energy gathered around it. I lined up my shot, and sent it. The spear whistled through the air as it seemed to home in on two idiots lining up together. Before they even realized what was happening, the spear impaled one through the side and into another. Pinning them sideways into the ground, the entire spear stuck inside of both of their bodies.

Their life quickly left them, summoning a stone sword from my bag I started running. In their confusion the gangsters registered my presence too late, my blade cleaving through a man's neck. Blood spraying everywhere while my blade found itself a home in the chest of another gangster. Nite came in from overhead, a spinning blade of green energy bisecting a bomb using gangsters' heads at an angle. The Beegardes who were bloody, but not out buzzed with anger as their lance-like weapons but into their foes flesh. The bees struck with a coordinated fury and ruthless efficiency causing the gangsters to scramble.

As they honestly didn't expect a random Outsider and their Pal to interfere, not for the bees to get even more furious. One rather large gangster who still had his pants down and violating a dead Beegarde met Elizabee's personal wrath. The idiot was met with a scepter like lance slamming into his chest, knocking him away and out of the corpse. Before the angry queen bee beat him to death with her scepter, she was practically screeching at the man who had violated her subject.

While his friends had all died and we watched, he was subjected to a slow wrathful death for his deed. The queen made sure to draw out his suffering as she broke his body. When his quieting whimpers stopped, Elizabee crushed his head in, glaring hatefully at the man. I and Nite stayed where we were, the Beegardes moving about as they buried their dead friend. Their queen, however, didn't move, didn't do anything, she just glared at the dead man. Shaking my head, I spoke to the queen bee who was embroiled with grief and resentment.

"Glaring at him won't help your dead guard, she deserves to be buried with her queen acknowledging her sacrifice. That won't happen if you just stay there glaring at the broken corpse of her rapist. Bury her, and move forward Elizabee."

My words caused the Beegardes to stir angrily, but their queen seemed to sigh. She moved on from the corpse, giving a side eyed nod before she and her subjects buried the deceased Beegarde. Elizabee saying something in a short buzzing muttering of her name. Yet I didn't need to know what exactly she said, the look in her eyes said it all, "I'm sorry." Looking at the grave, even with the bees still around it, I remembered the flowers Daedream had given me before we left. The black sheep was rather persistent with giving me them, causing them to appear in my hands from my bag. I slowly approached the grave even as the bee's buzzed angrily, and set the flowers down onto the grave as I kneeled.

As a Beegarde moved to impale my head, a scepter blocked their attack. Elizabee looked down at me for a few seconds before gesturing to me to rise. Silently rising back onto my feet I looked at the queen bee, and she made the first move. From somewhere in that dress-like covering of her body, she pulled out a green sphere and held it out to me. Gently touching it, I watched as the queen caught herself, her guards were caught off guard by the sight. Looking at the green sphere registering to me as a "Mega Sphere" in knowledge, I let the queen out. As she came back out of it, she looked down at the ground while saying something. Her guards flinched before buzzing at her, she looked up and seemingly declared something.

Eventually I left the grave with a queen and her guards as my Pals, the bee's practically offering themselves up to stay with their queen. They're loyal to a fault I'll give them that, and hopefully they can find a place to belong back at camp. Stroking Nite's neck I got onto her back and we took off. The last words of Elizabee somehow really registered in my head as if whispered to me by something.

"I failed you as a queen… the Human Outsider did what I could not after I became lost to grief… I wish to repay that debt, so I've offered myself to him. For I may learn how to do better than to freeze like a coward if I study him…"

The faint blue light of Palsium wasn't lost on me either, so I can only take it as something in the world wanting me to hear her. As we sailed through the sky, leaving behind the dead gangsters for wild Pals to eat, we still went looking for stuff to help with making medicines. Which led to beating a pack of Rushboars into submission rather violently. Given the knowledge I had on medicine here said that their Tusks were a medical ingredient. So with a pack of six caught, and a lot more berry and flower seeds, just when we returned.

Outside the camp's wooden gates was a pack of eight Direhowls. One of them being the Direhowl I previously treated as it was wrapped in bandages. Landing inside the camp then waving off the worrying Pals I opened the gates. The bandaged Direhowl greeted me with a howl and a bow. His presumed pack was doing the same as him, looking at the canine I spoke to him.

"What can I do for you, alpha?"

He looked at me then back at his pack, barking something, and that's when I noticed two Direhowls were rather protectively guarding another. The guarded Direhowl had a round stomach and was restlessly pawing the ground. Another bark and under the vigilant guard of her pack mates the Direhowl lumbered over to me slowly. That's when I saw why. Bullet wounds were on her flank and side, around her swollen stomach. Though some of the wounds looked to be off their mark as if something got in the way. It wasn't the alpha, he had bladed cuts and was being chased.

So a different pack member likely gave up their life to protect her and the pup or pups.

Looking at the alpha and grunting I motioned the pack, heading towards the thing called a Palbox in my camp. The strange thing didn't do anything but house the filled Pal Sphere's while letting the Pals in them out. So I got to work inserting all the recent captures, which brought the bee swarm and boar pack out into the camp. It was getting cramped, but we can always expand the camp outwards and downwards since we're on a cliff-like mountain.

"Elizabee, your species is good with medicine right?"

The queen nods her head.

"Then I need you to make some to help out a pregnant and injured Direhowl. Those Rushboars are to help give you a supply of Tusks though, the medical bench is in the church."

Her eyes snapped to the Direhowl in question, wings buzzing quickly before she snapped something at her guards. Six of them herded the boars to the ranch, while three went to gather berries. The queen took off into the church as well so I took the Direhowls to some unused Pal beds. Where we waited half an hour before Elizabee and three Beegardes came our way. They were each carrying some sort of medical application, Elizabee carrying several medical salves just by herself.

The queen and her guards worked quickly, Elizabee removing the bullets or bullet fragments still in the Direhowl with care. Thin strands of a honey-like substance leaving her fingers that she used to remove the harmful foreign objects from the Direhowl. Palsium wisping off the honey strands acting as multiple tweezers at once. Once those were out, a Beegarde using some berry mixed paste covered the bullet holes. Any blood coming from them quickly stopped as if clotting was setting in. While they worked I looked at the alpha, keeping Elizabee in sight as I did so.

"Say alpha… since there's a bunch of invasive idiots, what would you say if I helped you bring them down a peg? After all, to other Direhowls and Pals this is your territory, and to other Humans it should also register as MINE. So bringing them to heel or total destruction for disturbing mine and your territory would be reasonable…"

Elizabee twitched as this area would also now technically be her domain. So having disruptive elements willing to destroy it should also make her want to move. Plus she wants to learn, then if she takes the bait we shall do a trial by fire. For real life isn't going to be kind to her if she wants to prevent what happened earlier. However, I could see the bee had taken the bait, so with a blood thirsty smile I decided to plan out the attack. The Direhowl pack was eager to get revenge for their injured or dead pack mates.

Although, seeing a small caped fox? Hum… never mind a Nox, as it was called, suddenly appearing from the shadows giddy to help. I questioned why it was here when I heard something whisper in my ears.

"Revenge for the deceased. A parent lost, a parent avenged."

Accompanying those whispered words, emerald green words flashed in my vision.

[Personal Trait: Natural Druid triggered]

(AN: to those curious, since outsiders aren't natural to the world and everything in it has traits that do something I thought to have those also apply to outsiders, as what brings them into the world would either activate or create them based on the person. So for our yet named MC besides Marksman, Killer, Background Character, and Natural Druid he has five other traits they are Adaptability, Abnormal Tolerance, Socio-Psycho, Haunted, and Bloodthirsty

Also I just want to say to anyone who is pissed at this because "pokemon rip-off reeee!" Thank you for reading, but also that all I can say is, the birds and other fliers actually fly. Tell me they don't, I dare you to. That's the only comparison I care about between the games. I want nothing else, literally don't say anything else, just prove to me that they don't just hover in game compared to the Pals actually flying. If you go off topic from that, then… stop complaining and just enjoy.)

//\\ Ryne Syndicate Thug POV \\//

I hated meeting the freaks calling themselves the Free Pal Alliance, they just rubbed me the wrong way. Especially at night when they're holding their rituals for their supposed glory. What's worse is that Russell's team was wiped out supposedly by a rogue Outsider with glowing eyes. So not only is it an Outsider, but a fucking ATTUNED Outsider that can use those damned fruits as ammo for attacks if they get them. If I see that fucker I'm not fighting him, I'm running the fuck away or putting a bullet in his head at the first chance I get.

Walking through the FPA camp, passing by the caged and mutilated Pals they've enslaved. I headed right for Father Trudence's tent, already hearing the obese man violating some unfortunate person or Pal. Moving his tent flap aside I walked in to see him plowing an Anubis of all things. Seeing the Pal which was choking on the sick bastards cum clogging up its airway due excessive use, while the man now ruined its ass and crotch. I couldn't help but freeze as I saw the damnable look in its eyes that were losing their light slowly. It was a look of promised retribution as they faintly glowed from the Pals' power to set in motion misfortune.

"Oh you fucking sack of shit… you've damned everyone here yet you still called us?!"

The obese man turned his head towards me scowling as his sweat drenched black hair covered his face.

"Shut the fuck up Markus, those are just lies told by those Pal enslaving priests of Halain, and the Cascading Era. This bitch though is a rarity that was liberated from a family of five, and she's a delicacy I just had to sample…"

"You greedy fool… You honestly don't believe there's no credence to prove otherwise?!"

"I'd listen to your associate, the Palsium in the air has been screaming for you to repent. The world seems to loathe you raping its priestess, and it oh so gladly helped cut off all sound from outside from alerting you."

Jumping at the voice and whirling on the unknown, I suddenly lost my sense of balance before a shot went off. A bullet ripping through my throat, a man in unusual clothes with glowing eyes held a bloodied metal sword and a smoking pistol. Gurgling on my own blood I spat out one last curse for the fat bastard.

"Fuck…. you… Trudence… you killed… us…"
