Chapter 16: Mr Go Gunhee, Chairman
This was the same thought that was going through Steve's mind as he followed the lady through hallway after hallway.
After what seemed like forever, they finally came upon the end of the hallways. In front of them was a double door made from something called |Guron Wood|.
Without hesitation, the lady opened the door to reveal a large office. The office looked like something that belonged to a high ranking official.
"Please wait here sir" she said as she pointed to one of the couches within the office
"Okay" Steve answered as he sat down
Soon the lady left the office, leaving Steve alone. He didn't mind this but he sure as hell didn't plan to wait long for whoever it was that wanted to meet him.
In wait, Steve began to examine all within the room. From the tables to the chairs to even the books on the shelf.
"Orc bones?" Steve called out when he saw a pair of katanas hanging on the wall.
Instinctively he immediately reached for it as he began to examine them closely. Using his abilities to examine the craftsmanship, Steve was impressed.
He had never crafted anything before but somehow he knew that the maker of the sword was talented.
"Something told me, you would go for that first" a voice said as Steve immediately dropped the katana.
*Clatter*
The katana sounded as it fell to the floor of the office. Immediately Steve felt an incredible amount of regret, he hoped to God that the Katana wasn't damaged.
"Don't mind that" Steve opened his eyes to see the man.
He was Korean just like every other person he had seen so fat but his hair suggested he was of an advanced age but his body size and structure didn't match said description.
"Sorry" Steve apologised as he hurriedly picked up the katana and began to check it out for any damages before carefully hanging it back where he found it.
"You don't have to worry about that, those swords have always been for decoration" The man said before moving towards the main office desk and taking a seat behind the desk.
As soon as the man sat down, the atmosphere within the office changed as it got a bit more serious.
"Please sit" The elderly man urged
"Thank you" Steve replied before finally taking a seat.
"I heard from the inspector that you were part of the double dungeon incident, it seems you gained a bit more than you lost within that dungeon" the man started.
"Excuse me, I nearly died in that dungeon… In fact, who are you?" Steve was offended by the remark.
He understood what the man meant but he nearly lost his life within that dungeon. That wasn't something he could gain back, he knew if there would be another reincarnation waiting for him.
"We understand that, however you also came out of the tower amongst the 0.1% of the world that reawakens" The chairman replied.
"Even so
"I am sorry if that got out wrongly, I'm Go Gunhee, Chairman of this association" the man said as he offered his hand for a handshke.
Hearing what the man said, Steve's eyes widened as he didn't expect to meet the man so soon.
