Chapter 6: Road Trip!!!
I was woken up by Lily early in the morning there are two other maids who are preparing hot water for my bath and fresh clothes.
"Wake up young Lord. You will delay your journey if you sleep any longer." Lily said gently and slowly pushed me up from my sleeping position.
I groggily opened my eyes and looked around. It took few seconds for me to adjust. I looked around to see busy maids doing their work.
"Is everything ready?" I asked looking at Lily.
"Everything is ready young Lord. Lord rickon asked us to let you sleep for a while. Hence waking up you right after sunrise."
I nodded silently and got up from my bed. Lily started undressing me to my undies and carried me to the hot water tub. I feel no shame, I'm still a child and she sees me as her son.
As I was sitting in the tub I started manipulating the air again slowly. This time I posed myself a challenge. Air should circulate around the room without touching any object. As I decided I started implementing it it was difficult in the beginning and the mates started noticing that some things were fluttering even though there is no air coming from outside, as the windows and balcony door was closed. I started to slowly adjust the speed and intensity to get the right amount of control. After I got enough control of it, I started randomizing the directions of the wind movement in a slow and steady manner. I am not looking for speed. Adding for absolute within few meters with me as a center of the radius.
As I was freshly bathed and clothed, mates got some food and milk for me. I devoured it Slowly while keeping control of the air within 10 meters around me. Lily already finished packing my clothes and necessities. Some servants came to my room and carried the bags as I followed them to the entrance of the castle. I was heavily clothed to keep me from the cold.
It took us a few minutes to reach the entrance. I saw my uncle, sir Stefon, Sir harvin and his ten knights along with 50 household guards of rockhold ready for traveling along with some horses and carriages.
"Finally, look who's here. Did you have good sleep little one? Did you break your fast?" My uncle said looking at me with a smile.
"Yes uncle. I had a good sleep thanks to you. And do you think Lily would let me out of my room without breaking my fast?" I looked at my uncle with a smile.
"Greetings My Lord."-said Harvin
"good Morrow to you Sir Harvin." I said and look towards ser Stefon" to you as well ser Stefon"
"good Morrow young Lord"-Ser Stefon
"so what's the plan uncle? How are we going to winterfell?" I asked my uncle.
"Surely we don't want to cross wolfswood to reach winterfell if that's what you mean. We are going to travel around the edges of the forest and reach Toherren's square and from there we will go to Cerwyn and then to winterfell. The expected journey will take around two weeks. So we are expected to come back by next month same time if there are no delays. Granting that we are going to stay in winterfell for few more days to resupply for a return trip." My uncle said as he laid out the plan.
I nodded at him and said" let's go let's not waste the daylight." I said and moved towards the carriage, with some difficulty I was able to get in. Along with me travelling were Lily and one other maid. I looked out of the window only to see my uncle talking with Mr. Cedric and Bilbo.
"I will leave the castle in your good hands Bilbo and Mr. Cedric. Send a Raven to me in case of any emergency. We shall do the same once we reach winterfell."-Rickon

once everybody hopped on to their horses we started our journey. Open area has given me an ample space to practice wind manipulation. I started doing my earlier challenge continuously in a wider area trying to reach out to approximately 20 meters in all directions with me as a center. It took a day for me too get that range.
Time went on during our travel and just like that four days has passed. We were travelling along the outside edges of the forest towards our next destination Toherren's square. We will reach there in two days. My wind manipulation picked up quite easily once I got a gist of it. I have managed to adjust my control over 35 meters of radius. It was quite boring honestly sometimes my uncle would join me in the carriage to keep me company. That's what I would like to think, but seems like he's coming to flirt with Lily. Seeing lily's blushed face I concluded there is something going on between these two. I let them to their antics and concentrated on my practice.
We made several short stops during the day and to rest during the night.
Two days passed by without any problems and we reached our destination. We stayed there for a day and enjoyed hospitality of house tallhart. Next day we started moving to our next destination, Cerwyn.
It was a day journey and we reached Cerwyn. Medger Cerwyn Along with his son Cley Cerwyn welcomed us to their castle. We stayed there for a two days and started journey to winterfell. It is a half day journey from here to winterfell.
After almost a day of tiring journey, we were finally able to get a glimpse of the old castle of winterfell.
The castle is located alongside the Kingsroad as it makes its way from the Wall to the capital of the Six Kingdoms, King's Landing, more than a thousand miles to the south. A small godswood is enclosed within the walls. It is situated atop hot springs which keep the castle warm even in the worst winters. Winding tombs below the castle contain the remains of Stark kings and lords and record the history of the ancient family.The castle has stood for millennia.
We sent a rider to inform that we are coming. It took almost an hour to reach the castle gates. As we moved inside we can see some of the stark guards lined up from the entrance to the inside of castle.
My carriage stopped. Me along with Lily and other maid got down from our box. I looked at three people who were welcoming us. The man in his early 20s , a lady in mid 20s and an aged man wearing Gray robe along with her linked chains.
I recognized the man as Ned stark. I saw him last year when he came to our castle to deliver my father's remains. The woman next to him should be catelyn stark. And the grey robed man would be Mr. Leuwyn.
I walked towards the man and bowed" Lord stark, I have come to swear an oath."
"Say none of it nephew. You will call me uncle unless we are in a formal arrangement." -Ned
"understood uncle."-Duncan
"have salt and bread. We have prepared for your accommodations. Take some rest. It must be a tiring journey."-Ned
"thank you uncle. It is truly a tiring journey." After we had the welcoming rituals with all of my men the servant started leading us to our accommodations.
It was more than a week of tiring journey. As I was not feeling any hunger, I just slept on the bed. Letting my sleep take me to La La land. All the while adjusting my subtle control of air within 20 metres around me. This will work like and alert mechanism in case someone comes with in my passive area of control.
