Chapter 6: Untitled
***Three days later***
"Adrien, Luka, you guys said Mari was tired. We understand that. But, why hasn't she woken up yet?! It's been three days!" Worried, Yie queried.
"Don't worry. I'm sure she'd wake up soon." Luka said trying to convince them and he himself.
"Excuse me now. I have to be on my way. Bye!" Adrien said and disappeared.
"Suspicious. Where's he going?" Fancy asked.
"I'm sure he's gone to see Mari. He's also worried." Luka said, dispelling their suspicions.
**With Adrien**
After ensuring there was no one in the surroundings, he gently walked up to the door and quietly slipped into the room then sighed.
"Mari. Please wake up soon." He said as he sat by her pleading while sighing again and held her hand. "Our sisters are absolutely worried and are starting to suspect we're hiding something from them. Alya woke up the day after we came back. She's ridden with guilt and if the girls find out what happened, even if they don't hate her, they'll deeply resent her. Get well soon my love." He said and lightly kissed her forehead then left.
"Mmm. So he does like me." Opening her eyes, she touched her forehead white her reddened face.
"Yes. Of course he does. He's right though. It wouldn't be good if Yie and Fancy found out especially Alex too. When will you quit the act and come out? They're living through everyday worrying about you. Also, you're delaying your parents trip!" Tikki, Mari's assistant from school nagged.
"Come on. You are fully aware I fell into a coma then. It's just that I'm not as weak as they think I am. Besides, I'm having such great fun listening to them when they think I'm still unconscious." She said giggling to herself.
"Fine. Go back to sleep. Alya's outside."
"Marinette...I'm really sorry. I broke my promise to not lose my temper and this is where it led us to. Also, I don't think we'd be able to go back to school after this. Kagami, Rose and Era came yesterday and are planning on staying the whole holiday. They can't visit you cus they want to surprise you and think you will here them talking and recognise their voices when you wake up. Can you imagine? What kind of logic is that? Also,I'm sorry. I know you'd say sorry doesn't solve much problems but I still want to apologise. If I didn't have much problem with apologies in the first instance it wouldn't have escalated to such a point. If not for me, we'd all be having fun right now." Sitting by her side, Alya said crying.
'Ugh. Alya please stop crying. If you keep this up, I will have to stop my pretense. Tikki help me please!!" Mari said in her mind tightening her hold on Alya's hand.
"Uh, hey Alya. I'm Tikki, Mari's assistant. I know you're surprised a LumiBuzz can come out and meet you with the owner unconscious. We can do that, we just can't be bothered to let people know." Tikki said.
"I came out because Mari's subconscious told me to come comfort you and for you to stop crying and apologizing cus it's not like you to apologise and that you should be proud even if you do something wrong. If you truly feel bad about it, find something to do that'll fix it and not just sitting there apologizing." Tikki said on behalf of Mari.
"Nice to meet you Tikki." Sniffing, Alya said
"You're right. I can't keep whining about it here. I have to do something. Mari also wouldn't want me to be crying. She'll say smile cus everything will be alright." She replied, smiled and stood up preparing to leave. "I'll go now. Tell Mari if you can talk to her that I'll see her later. Thanks Tikki." She said and shut the door behind her.
"Ugh. Mari, I'm so not doing this again." Tikki complained
"Alright, alright. I'm sorry. Okay? Thanks." Mari said handing her a cookie.
"Don't bribe me." Tikki said, taking the cookie
"Haha. You're so cute"
***2 days later***
"OMG. BABY!! MY BABY GIRL! What have I done? I should never have allowed you to go to school yet. Please wake up. Next time, I promise to keep your magic restrained so you won't keep going overboard." Tang said sighing in regret. "Ah. I shouldn't be crying, I should leave." Wiping her tears and standing up, she took her leave.
"Shit. Tikki, I made a big mistake. I forgot about mom and decided this was a good idea. Can you help me stop her? Please!" Mari exclaimed dejectedly.
"No! You totally deserve it if she restrains Ur magic. In fact, she should restrain your abilities too. I've had enough of this pretense. It's no fun anymore." Tikki said, stating the facts.
"Fine. You're right. I should wake up." She replied taking a deep sigh. I'll wake up on Saturday - tomorrow. I'll go back to sleep."
***The next day***
"Hi! Who missed me?!"
"Nino, stop pretending to be Mari to make us feel better." Kagami said not looking.
"Uh.... I'm right here. I did not imitate Mari." Nino said, feeling wronged.
"Guys, just look back will you?" Mari said and they all did.
"What???!!!!!! Am I dreaming?!! Someone pinch me." Nino exclaimed exaggerating.
"Ugh. How embarrassing." Alya said and slapped him.
"Hey! I said pinch not slap!" He screamed.
"Mari, omg. I can't believe you're back. I'm so happy." Adrien said on the verge of tears
- Everyone surrounded Mari before she could reply and before they knew it, they were separated. Mari cast him a pitiful glance while answering everyone's questions patiently. -
"Out of my way!" Tang shouted with a thunderous voice, storming towards Mari.
"M-mom. I, I'm sorry. I didn't mean-" Mari said before she mom burst into tears
"Why did you do that? Why? You guys promised to restrain yourselves. Do you know how worried I was? Just because you're powerful doesn't mean you can be careless!" Tang said scolding her while crying.
"And Alya, you are her best friend. What were you thinking? Why would you not listen? Should I call Kitara to come over immediately? You know the lengths your best friend would go for you! And Nora, you know Alya hates apologising as you all should. I kept telling you to look out for eachother. Why exactly are you all rebelling? Should we withdraw you from school? It's just your first semester!"
"NO!! PLEASE NO!" They all shouted.
"Please don't take us out. This'll be our last time causing trouble." Luka said on behalf of everyone.
"You can't take us out. If Sabine asks why you withdrew them from school because of such small incident, what will you have to say for that? They'll just think you're being unreasonable and it'll seem that we have no regard for the school." Nancy said in their defence.
"Tang, she's right. We can't withdraw them. They just got there." Ting said patting his wife on his shoulder.
"However, Henry, Adrien, Luka, you guys were there. What were you doing? We entrusted them to you because you're more mature but this happens-"
"Dad! It's not their fault! I was careless. I'm sorry." Mari said realising her mistake. "I'm sorry for making you all worry so much."
"I'm sorry for letting you guys witness this on your vacation. It's our negligence." Gabriel apologised to Kagami, Rose, and Era.
"It's alright sir. We were also partly at fault." Era replied
"Whatever. I'm going to rest." Tang said and left.
"Gabriel, I need to talk to you." Ting said and left to the terrace with Gabriel behind him.
"Alya. I'm sorry for making you angry." Nora apologised.
"It's alright." Alya replied. "Mari, I'm sorry." She whispered.
"It's not your fault. Don't apologise or I'll be mad. I've always told everyone to be proud and instead of apologising, find a way to fix it. But all is well now, so don't worry."
"Fine. Ting is really mad though. Tang'll cool of in a couple hours but I don't know how long Ting'll remain like that." Alya said sighing.
"Don't worry. I'll talk to him and get Alex back." Mari said.
Utterly confused, Yie and Fancy were in a dilemma of what to do to undeythe situation.
"AAAAHHH!" Yie screamed to get everyone's attention.
"Eek! What's with you?! Why did you scream?" Adrien and Luka jumped, freaked out.
"Haha. Why did you jump? So funny." Yie and Fancy laughed for a long time while others giggled along.
"Anyway, what are you guys hiding?" Fancy turned serious after having a good laugh.
"Ahem. Guess I should tell you guys too." Magy said.
"WHAT?! DO YOU MEAN THIS?!" Shocked, they asked.
"Believe it or not. It happened." Juleka said.
"Hi guys! How's vacation and Mari?" Chloe and Jennie walked in elegantly with their luggages in hand. "We're here to spend our vacation." Jennie said.
"Thank goodness you're here. The tension in here earlier was highly suffocating." Rose said hugging them both.
"Oh? What happened?" Chloe asked intrigued.
After explaining everything, Kagami, Rose, Era, Jennie and Chloe sighed.
"At least their handsome and extraordinarily stunning! If not, that'll be unacceptable!" Kagami and Chloe said.
"Oh God! Not another victim." Mari exclaimed
"Can't blame em for being good looking." Adrien said and chuckled while patting Mari on her shoulder.
"Oh! Alya, how are you now? When you passed out, we were all so shocked. Then, Rose passed out after." Jennie asked concerned.
"What?! Alya and Rose passed out?" Shocked, Mari asked.
"Are you alright? Have you rested enough? Ohh. What have I done? I'm so sorry." She said worriedly.
"Mari! You said not to apologise then, why are you doing it now!?" Rose corrected her. "Don't worry, we're fine now. Do you think Ting and Gabriel will allow us to even stand if we haven't rested enough?"
"You're right. Thank goodness." Mari said and sat down.
Hours later, everyone left the Agreste's mansion and went to the Mo's mansion to prepare the parents for their journey in the next 5 days.
***2 days later, in the Mo's Mansion.***
"Hi guys!!! Who missed us?" A very large group of people made their way into the mansion excitedly.
