Waking up in the morning Mael felt refreshed, after a night's sleep he felt tired.
Checking the time it seems time for the tournament would start in about 3 hours, so he decided to go over his abilities and prowess.
At the moment he was sure he had the most combat experience out of all the candidates at the moment.
Entering his mind-space, he skimmed through the fields until he found an altar. The altar had an inscription on it, he didn't know what it was though so he ignored it.
The altar measured his strength and his abilities at the moment and gave him an estimate of how strong he was.
Taking a deep breath and touching the golden ball with inscriptions on it he spoke the magic word.
"Link Start'"
Suddenly his stomach churned, and then a screen floated in front of him showing his stats.

(Most of the stats are self-explainable, as for energy it's smaller due to the quality of his energy, as for Rhitta I can't really say but it's special, *cough* weapon waifu *cough*. You might think his stats are a lot but remember what I said about how a level 1 in this world is 4 times stronger than a regular human. So him being almost a level 200 his stats are qualified.)

Seeing his stats he felt happy, he had improved a lot from before he had discovered this mind space.
Getting out of his mind-space mael decided to take a shower before the tournament continued. Walking to the bathroom, he saw a black and gold object. It was a circular device with inscriptions on it.
He faintly remembered what this was, memories started stirring in his head.

After mael had turned five years old, he didn't have anyone who wanted to adopt him. The orphanage was tired of the child who had been marked as a bad sign, a bad omen.
After the child had turned five they decided to sell him for money, because they needed the money desperately, even though they didn't need it that much they just wanted an excuse to sell a child to a government agency.
The new government agency called The Eye Of hours was made to try and make a perfect human. The invaders from space had gained new allies so the humans were at risk, such the organization was born to try and make a perfect soldier.
Throughout the years they had experimented on many people but they couldn't make what they defined as the perfect soldier.
The orphanage at the time owed the government money so to pay off their dent they gave the child to the government to do whatever they wanted.
He was now a government property for them to do as they pleased.
After they had taken him in he was trained for months to be a perfect soldier.

(Flashback to when he was taken in)
Looking around, I see myself in the black room. What the hell was the orphanage patron thinking putting me in here. When I get back I'm gonna beat his bitch of a son black and blue.
Getting up I try analyzing my surroundings, this sick prank had gone too far! Suddenly a hatch in the far right of the room opened up and a teenager with pure white hair and red eyes walked towards me.
She had an approachable aura as if she wanted or needed interactions with others, but her eyes showed differently.
Its as if you could never read this woman, instantly I got cautious, even though I was five years old, I matured faster than other kids, both physically and mentally.
Glancing around for an escape she looks at me smiling "There is no escape recruit, you are better than most that have come before, Welcome to The Eye Of Horus."

Suddenly Mael snapped out of his journey on memory lane, something was coming!
Something so dangerous his bloodline was almost scared.
Instantly rushing out of his room he called his sensei but all he got was a broken message. "Little boi- ru- it's here, I wasn't able to- but for now its enough,- save yourself"
Dread filled his heart, he then ran to max's room. Breaking the door he walked in.
"Max Max we gotta go something is coming" but Max wasn't in his room.
Alarm bells started ringing all over the stadium in the sky.
"Student Please evacuate, something has entered our atmosphere and is approaching fast"
Gritting his teeth mael jumped from the sky stadium and called the side of it, he saw aliens invading, and the school below became a slaughterhouse.
Looking at the aliens they were..confusing to look at, they had no proper form but were made up of nano cubes constantly meshing together to form tendrils which they moved and strikes with, they had no actual body but were just an amalgamation of said tendrils.
They moved with lightning speed, ripping students in half, destroying everywhere, the stench of blood so active in the atmosphere seemed to drive them even more and more crazy
Students were running around for their lives, some seniors stayed back to fight off aliens with the help of the teachers.
He then scoured around and finally found max, he was in his mecha killing a swarm of aliens as they appeared from thin air.
The aliens had a variety of appearances. Some were buff and huge while others were small but fast.
Everywhere he saw slaughter, in the east he saw his teacher scatach with the titans guy fighting together.
Every time scatach moved her spear an alien died, the principal on the other hand now wore a gauntlet that seemed to allow him to do various amount of things.
"I am inevitable," said the titan as a meteor was summoned causing massive area damage to the surrounding aliens.
Jumping down he appeared behind Max as he said to him "You seem to need some help"
Smirking Max says "I doubt that, but your presence does help"
Smiling at each other they stop speaking as they start to communicate with body language. Over the course of 4 months, they had trained together that their minds were inspirable.

Hours have passed and the invasion hasn't lessened by any bit, in fact, they seemed to spawn even more than before.
As it seems now they have more tactics instead of just going into a rampage.
Mael at this point started to feel signs of fatigue while Max, on the other hand, was already as tired as a hippo running at full speed for 7 hours now.
The government still hasn't deployed any solider's here which was weird as hell since usually, they would send the full force of the military at any signs of aliens. Especially a school like Legacy High which held some prominent figures as well as the future of humanities fighting force here.
At the moment he was more worried about his sensei and her daughter.
Suddenly the feeling he has from before grew stronger. The fear he felt had increased, this wasn't something the aliens could give him, the aura was more ancient, more sinister.
Almost as if it was here to conquer-
Suddenly his eye's widened. His killing intent soured to its highest. A baleful aura sprung from his being, the air itself turned black and white, nothing dared move.
'Fuck I'm not in control again, IM LOSING CONTROL AGAN, WHY, WHY AM I SO WEAK I CANT EVEN BE MYSELF, WHY HAVE THIS STUPID POWER IF EVERYTIME IT HAS TO INTERVENE TO SAVE ME, WHY , WHY WHY'
The people around him were shocked, especially his teachers and Max. They had never seen mael this way before.
"YOU DARE AFTER SAVING THE ASS OF YOUR PRINCESS YOU STILL TRY TO KILL ME AT MY LOWEST!!"
Suddenly a giant palm appeared in the sky, everyone's senses screamed to run, and run they did.
Except for Max. His legacy wouldn't allow him to abandon his former general in the heat of battle.
Suddenly a voice said "Lucifer of the stars, your arrogance has brought this calamity upon yourself. You have upset many universal clans in this verse and now you shall pay."
Turning to Max he says "Maximus Run"
Mael could feel an entity in his body fighting for control, in this time of crisis he let it take over.
Suddenly his overall demeanor changed, you could think he was a different person if he didn't look exactly like mael and had his aura.
Looking towards the sky he smirked "Old man You dare disrupt my reincarnation in the middle of a contest, you have grown a new pair of balls haven't you"
He then grinned "I may not have my concept of death or pride doesn't mean my divinity is garbage"
"Choas itself called me a dragon when I fell from his home, and yet a puny patriarch of the divine clan dares send a bootlicker to finish off the great dragon of pride and death"
The increase is heat was so sudden the surroundings caught on fire. An avatar of a great red and gold dragon with ice-blue armor was formed around mael.
It stood as a hefty 500000ft, mael was placed in the top of the dragon's head, next to him was Max in his ice demon form feeding him with energy to form armor and enchanted devil ice canons on its wings.
Suddenly it roared and the earth shook, it started to break apart as it couldn't handle the aura of such powerful people.
Suddenly he heard a scream, his sensei's scream. Even though mael wasn't conscious right now his love for the only person that cared for him made him reach out to her. He had caught her and placed her on one of his wings.
His sensei held unto Feng Lin too so she was safe as well, knowing they would be well protected he turned his attention to the incoming palm.
He unleashed all the dormant energy his weak body would handle, he pushed himself to his absolute limits, soon he started to tap into his life force for more energy.
He grew more powerful but soon his body started to collapse. He then roared and rushed at the palm with impossible speed.
An explosion occurred, one that ruptured space and time itself. The hand had disappeared, but so had Mael and his companions.
Existence started to patch itself, but this time it was as if mael and the people in that dragon didn't exist.....
