The following day, training resumed. Unlike before, Rek didn't bother to gather everyone; instead, the guards forcefully awakened all of the trainees. Dawn, like the others, followed the guard's lead back to the familiar tall cliff they were supposed to climb.
Dawn, who had memorized the path during previous sessions, confirmed that the location was the same as before. It was somewhat reassuring to know he was becoming familiar with the Labyrinth's layout. He felt confident that if he ventured alone, he could navigate his way back without getting lost.
The training proceeded exactly as before, starting with the mountain climb. This time, fortunately, no one perished during the ascent. As usual, Blaise and Mason quickly turned the exercise into a competitive race to see who would reach the summit first. Their revived competitive spirit, which had seemingly mended overnight, even surprised Dawn.
