Chapter 44: Chapter 44: The First Level (Part 2)

Throughout the following days, training continued as normal. The group of awakened were forced to repeat the same tasks over and over again - climbing the cliff, spending hours running through the deathrun, hiding in the 'secluded village of the hollows,' and running through the Nightmare Fishes' nest.

Day after day, the only rest they received was the time spent in their quarters, sleeping and eating. As the days passed, the number of awakened began to slowly decrease, with not a single day going by without a death. One might think they would get used to it after doing the same thing for so long, but the physical and mental fatigue was slowly catching up to each of them.

While sitting by the entrance of the library, Dawn observed the other awakened as they interacted. Some were sparring inside the second building, while others played games outside in search of entertainment. Their eyes looked even more hollow and lifeless compared to when they started.
