Chapter 91: Head

The demon couldn't land even a single blow on Aru, even after a full minute of high-intensity attacks.

It felt its muscles cramp up and twist due to the relentless movement. And yet, Aru seemed unaffected by any of it.

The last straw broke when it realized that Aru was learning its attack patterns and dodging even more efficiently.

Any chance of landing a hit was slipping away from it.

"Graaa." The demon let out an unnatural growl and leapt back.

In the dim light of an oil lamp, its shadow flickered and smeared across the wall. It reflected the demon's exhausted body, panting for air.

"Aah."

"Aah."

The demon breathed in heavily while gazing at Aru, who was standing motionless.

After the demonic transformation, it could see the details of Aru's face much clearer. So, it immediately noticed the curved lips he had while looking at it.

'Smile.'

'The kid is smiling.'
