Chapter 3: Denial.

**Isabella**

After taking my shower, I decided to wear denim pants and a casual hoodie. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail before heading downstairs for breakfast.

The early morning hours were hell for me. I thought I would never see my parents again. When that scary handsome man asked me to leave, I didn't even mind that I was only wearing a bikini as I ran out of the club, not bothering to grab my clothes.

After returning home, I couldn't sleep. The words of the intense stranger kept echoing in my head. What did he mean by saying he would be seeing me soon? I had a bad feeling about this.

I arrived at the dining table, pulled out a seat, and sat down. I grabbed a piece of toast and started eating, completely ignoring the stern gazes of my parents, especially my dad.

"What happened yesterday, Isabella?" Dad asked in his no-nonsense voice, but I continued to ignore him and focused on my toast. "Why did you come back dressed like that?"

I almost choked on my food, my eyes widening in shock. "You saw me?"

"We saw you," my mom corrected, shaking her head disapprovingly.

How the fuck did that happen though? I mean, when I snuck back in, the living room was empty.

"Aren't you going to answer my question?"

"It's a long story, Dad," I dropped the toast on the plate, sighing. "It doesn't matter now anyway."

"It doesn't matter that you came back home naked," my mom raised her brows incredulously, showing her disbelief at my audacity.

They were being too dramatic, gosh!

"Do you know anyone named Razor King?" I asked, changing the topic finally.

I didn't miss the unease that creased my dad's forehead and how he shifted nervously in his chair.

"Dad?"

"How do you know that name?"

"I met him yesterday. Why?"

"You did?" He appeared surprised and confused at the same time. "What did he say?"

"Why would Razor King say anything to our daughter?" My mom looked at my dad suspiciously.

Okay, so she knew him too? Something fishy was going on here.

"He just said to say hi to you," I said simply, making sure to leave out the part where he freaking bought me for 10 million dollars.

"Oh," was all he said.

"And that he'll see me soon," I added, my gaze still fixed on my dad. "Is something wrong, Dad? What did he mean by that?"

My dad dropped his mug on the table, clearing his throat. "I have something to say."

From the worried look on his face, I could already tell it was something unpleasant. My gaze shifted to my mom, and she shared the same concern as me.

"You're getting married to that young man."

"What?" My mom beat me to it before I could react verbally. "That's absurd, and you know it, hun."

"I had no other choice," he told my mom, averting her confused gaze. "It was the best thing for the company and her as well," he pointed at me.

My heart plummeted in my chest. Marriage to that intense stranger. Someone I wasn't quite familiar with.

"Who said I wanted to get married, and in an arranged marriage at that!" I yelled, standing up abruptly. "I'm not fucking getting married, Dad!"

"Language, Isabella!" My dad banged his hand on the table. "You'll respect me in my own house."

"But, hun, how can Isa marry such a man?" Mom turned pleading eyes towards Dad. "A man as deadly as Razor King. The most feared Alpha in Upper Ville and its environs."

My heart dropped instantly. No wonder something felt unsettling, he was that alpha. I had heard about the cruel alpha of Bloody Skull Pack, Razor King. He was feared, respected, and dangerous. He doesn't think twice before killing anyone, and he loves torturing people.

My brows furrowed together in confusion, tears already pricking my eyes as I stared at my dad. "You're kidding, right?"

"No," he shook his head. "Our company has gone bankrupt, and I heard Razor was in town, so I went to him and asked for help."

"You what?" My mom was on the verge of tears. "What have you done, Nathan?"

"I offered him Isabella's hand in marriage, and he agreed to help us."

"You mean you sold me to him!" My tears spilled freely, staining my cheeks. "How could you?"

"I had no other choice."

"Cancel it," my mom stood up, shaking her head. "That man is dangerous. He's heartless and cruel. Why did it have to be him? Cancel it!"

"No, it's for the best," said Dad. "The Red-water pack is being targeted by stronger werewolf packs and the mafia. Alpha Razor King is the most likely to win and gain control of Red-water, and if he does, it will benefit us. He's powerful and he's a billionaire."

This was unbelievable.

"Dad!"

"You need a firm hand, Isabella. You're going off the rails. Just last night you came home naked!" He yelled, crooking a finger at me. "It's for your good. Do you know how many she-wolves are dying to marry Alpha Razor? You had better be grateful!"

Oh, so this is what this is all about? My dad wants me to get married to a freaking tyrant who will boss me around and keep me in line, huh?

I picked up a pen knife from the table and placed it strategically on my neck. "Cancel the marriage or I'll kill myself!

Both my parents' eyes widened with surprise and fear.

******

It was noon when our butler came and announced to my parents that we had a visitor. I knew instantly that it was him, Razor King. I changed into my sleeveless mini dress before making my way downstairs. That jerk was in for a big shocker.

I arrived downstairs, and the sweet scent emanating from the living room caught my attention. It was the same scent I smelled in the parking lot and at the club. It was him, Razor King. Gosh, he smelled so heavenly, so luxurious and intense.

I locked eyes with him as soon as I saw him. He was dressed in a fitted black suit, his black hair styled perfectly. He had an intense aura that made me feel small, so I averted my face and couldn't meet his eyes again.

He was sitting at the far end of the couch, two of his guys standing beside him. They were the same guys I saw in the parking lot and at the club.

I went straight to sit next to my mom.

"So, what are you trying to say, Mr. Ferris?" He arched a brow at my dad, who looked nervous as hell. "Do you want to back out of the deal?"

"I'm so sorry, Alpha Razor, but you see, Isabella here is not yet ready for marriage."

"Really?" He met my gaze, his lips slanting into a wry smile. "Didn't she tell you that I now own her?"

Confusion creased my dad's brow as he looked from Razor to me. "I don't understand."

To my dismay, Razor went on to explain further about how he had purchased me like a piece of furniture from that stupid club.

"I'm so sorry, Alpha Razor. I wasn't aware," my dad looked at Razor and then my mom, who was shaking her head. "But please, let me pay you back the money and buy back her freedom."

"I'm sorry, but I don't think I want to do that," he replied cooly.

So freaking arrogant, ugh! Not gonna happen though.

"That's ridiculous," I stood up from my seat, glaring at him. "I'm not a fucking piece of furniture."

The jerk made no reaction, just stared blankly at me.

"Isabella shut up!" My dad scolded me.

"Please, Alpha, let us pay you the money back," Mom pleaded.

"OK," Razor leaned forward, his lips tightened in a frown. "Do you have 10 fucking billion dollars? Because that's how much I'm gonna sell her back."

"What?" My dad's mouth fell open. "I... I..."

Fucking bastard! Where did he expect us to get such an amount of money?

My mom burst into tears, while I stood motionless, surprised at the turn of events.

Razor stood up, his intimidating height filling the whole room. He propped his tie with such ease before looking directly at my dad.

"Under normal circumstances, whenever I make a deal with a person and they go back on their words, do you know what happens to them?"

A lump formed in my throat at the seriousness and intensity of his words.

"They don't live to see the light of day. But for you, I'm willing to break my rules. Because of her," he locked eyes with me, causing my heart to beat violently.

No, this wasn't happening. I don't want to get married, not now. Not to him.

"Now go get your stuff, and let's go," he ordered, glaring at me intensely.

"No, no, please," I begged desperately, angry at how tiny my voice sounded.

"Don't make me force you."

"Please, give us until tomorrow," my mom pleaded in tears. "Let us spend the last day with her before you take her, please."

He considered Mom's words for a few seconds before nodding. "Alright, I'll be back in two days, and get ready, because we'll be going to court to seal our marriage."

At that moment, I burst into tears, the reality hitting me so damn hard.

"You should be grateful that I'm marrying your daughter," he continued, totally ignoring my tears. "She doesn't have a good reputation, but I assure you, I'll make sure that changes soon. This marriage will benefit your family, and your pack, so rest assured."

And with that, he said his goodbyes and left, leaving me utterly devastated.
