Chapter 25: Tara 2.

**Tara**

"Let go of her neck immediately!" Chris shouted behind me, but my grip only tightened in response. I wasn't about to let a stupid bitch get away with hitting me.

"She's our Luna!" Chris's scream cut through the air, jolting me momentarily before my face hardened in realization. I was the only Luna of this pack, who the fuck is this bitch?

The bitch's face drained of color, contrasting sharply with the flush of anger on her cheeks as she struggled against my grasp.

"Let go of me, you raging lunatic! How dare you!" Her voice trembled with rage as she fought to break free.

I let go, and instantly she raised her hand at me, but I held her hand firmly, thwarting her attempt to slap me.

"Is she The Luna?" I questioned, my gaze sweeping over her features, from her golden hair to her piercing blue eyes. She was petite compared to me, but she was definitely sassy as fuck and basic looking. How the fuck is this girl Razor's Luna?

"Let me go, you fucking bitch, or I'll rip you apart!" Her threats rang hollow as I chuckled at her feeble struggles, shaking my head.

"You're so fucking weak!"

"Let's go this instant, or do you want to face the boss's rage?" Chris interrupted. The thought that Razor had already replaced me as his Luna, with such a weak ass bitch annoyed me.

Reluctantly, I released my hold, only to be met with a stinging slap across my cheek. "Who's the fucking weak bitch now?" Her words fueled my fury, and I moved to retaliate, but Chris restrained me, his grip strong as he dragged me away.

"Stop this, Tara! Have you gone nuts?" Chris's voice was strained with effort as he struggled to contain my rage. "I'm so sorry about this Luna; it won't happen again," he apologized to her, still pulling me along with him.

"Let me go, Chris," I fought against his hold. All I wanted was to grab this short bitch and beat her to a pulp.

"I swear you'll fucking pay!" My scream echoed through the air, drawing everyone's attention to us, as Chris pulled me away. I looked up at the bitch, and she had a smug smile on her stupid lips.

Chris's grip on my arm was firm as he pulled me into an empty room, his anger visible. "Have you lost your mind, Tara? Do you know what you just fucking did?" His words cut through the air, forcing me to meet his gaze hard on.

"What did I do?" I retorted, frustration evident in my voice as I ran a hand through my disheveled hair. "She hit me first, I only retaliated."

"But you were disrespectful as fuck," Chris snapped, glaring at me.

I turned away, pacing the room in agitation, unable to face his accusatory gaze. "You need to apologize because if the boss hears about this, you'll be in trouble." His mention of Razor sent shivers down my spine. I knew alright, I knew all about Razor's temper. But when did he care about some random bitch?

"She's not some random bitch, Tara," Chris's voice softened, and it was as if he read my mind, just like old times. "She's his wife and mate."

His words hit me like a tidal wave, shattering the sweet memories I held onto. "That's impossible. I'm his mate, and I was about to become his Luna..."

"But you left..."

"Even so. I'm still his mate," I protested; my voice trembling with desperation. "I never rejected him."

"Well, you broke the bond when..." Chris hesitated, his expression pained. "Forget about it; she's his second chance mate."

I turned away, feeling the weight of his words crushing me. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I clutched my chest, trying to quell the ache within. "I didn't plan for this, and you know it."

"You betrayed the boss, you betrayed the pack," Chris accused, his voice filled with disappointment.

"I had my reasons!" I erupted, my wolf taking control as I pushed Chris against the wall, pinning him with my strength. "I had my reasons."

"No, you didn't. You were selfish and nothing but a gold digger," Chris countered, and his eyes had darkened in anger.

"What about you, huh?" I challenged, meeting his gaze defiantly. "Didn't you betray your alpha?"

His eyes widened in fear, a flicker of realization crossing his features. "I... I didn't do anything..."

"Yes, you did. You helped me escape," I pressed, refusing to let him off.

His facade crumbled, and he looked away, unable to meet my gaze. I grasped his chin, forcing him to hold my gaze. "What will Razor do to you if he finds out that you were the one who fucking helped me escape? That you knew all about my family and the Rollins all along... That you wanted to fuck me, your alpha's mate."

"Shut up!" Chris's voice cracked with desperation as he pushed me away, his own guilt consuming him.

I chuckled darkly at his reaction, reveling in the power I held over him. "Gosh, you're so fucking easy... You still cower under the mention of Razor's name, huh?"

I watched as Chris struggled to regain his composure, his breathing ragged and desperate as his fingers raked through his brown hair. I decided to pity his scaredy-ass.

"Alright, calm down," I taunted, a smirk playing on my lips. "I won't say anything to Razor. Just calm down."

His tense posture eased slightly, but the hostility in his freaking brown eyes remained visible as he eyed me warily.

"I just need you to help me with something," I continued, stepping back from him.

"What...do you want?" His brows furrowed slightly.

"I need you to get rid of that bitch."

"That's a suicide mission; I can't fucking do that," Chris's voice shook slightly as he protested.

"Why not?" I demanded, my frustration mounting. "She's weak as fuck and not fit to be Luna. Plus, I'm sure Razor doesn't give a shit about her."

"Tara, she's wolfless and an omega; that's why she's a little weak," Chris explained, eyes rolling at me.

"What do you mean wolfless?" My lips curled in a frown, "Why would Razor marry a basic omega bitch?"

Chris sighed, avoiding my gaze. "You and I know she's not basic, Tara. She's the daughter of one of the richest omegas in the Red Water pack, and she's very beautiful."

"Razor married from that cursed pack?"

Oh yes, I've heard a lot about that stupid-ass pack. They're a bunch of spineless and weak-ass hell, wolfless beings. Why Razor chose to marry from their pack, mate or no mate, is beyond me.

"I've already told you all that needs to be told," Chris retorted, crooking a finger at me. "The boss doesn't joke about his wife, so you had better act accordingly."

My frown deepened.

"So you're going to march out there and apologize to our Luna, or else."

"I'll do no such thing," I countered defiantly. "And you're going to fucking help me get rid of her, or I'll tell him what you did."

"If you do, the boss will fucking kill both of us," Chris warned.

"Is that so?"

Oh fuck!

Razor's deep voice boomed and sent a shiver down my spine, freezing me in place. Slowly, I turned to face him, my heart pounding with dread as I met his narrowed gaze, green eyes smoldering with fury. Beside me, Chris looked like he was about to crap in his fucking pants.
