Chapter 2: The contents in the diary

Chapter Three

"You better be," he retorted. "I seeked your attention here for a special reason. Have your seat," he said. I took a seat before me which was opposite him and he started off by saying " do you know what type of creature that you are" puzzled at that question, I simply answered him " i am human". He smiled wryly at me and made a smirk then he asked me have you ever heared about werewolves, vampires, witches, and witch hunters? I nodded my head in ignorance as i have no idea about what he is talking about, they all seemed foreign to me he looked at me and said " what i like about you is your innocence i have always noticed you ever since you came in to this school. he was about to say something when he got interrupted by a knock on the door . Principal Ashton said, "Come in."

When the door creaked open, two of my classmates came in. I kind of felt something weird about them, something peculiar about them that i couldnt place my fingers on

Principal Ashton told me that I should leave the office, i was about to do so when I caught sight of the same green-colored liquid that I found alongside the corpse of my adopted dad i was shocked to the marrow bones.

Because I wondered, what the two of them were using it for and what was the use of the portion . After I left the office and got to my class, I pondered about the green liquid thinking and racking my brain about why would they have it, what were they doing with it, what was its specific use and are they related to my adoptive fathers death. Those were the questions that kept on ringing in my head, when the two guys who were in the principal's office earlier walked up to me. They said their hellos, introduced themselves to me, and as expected, we shook hands. For the first time, I felt a jolt of electric shock in my life, like i have never felt the way i felt when these two guys gave me a hand shake. I think their names were Jason and Collins. And after we exchanged pleasantries with each other, they left.

Then the bell for the day was rung. I was so happy knowing fully well that i will be going home and i will have a luxurious ride in my bestie's car.

After Lucy dropped me off right at the entrance of my house, the door creaked open engulfing me in a warm hug.

I stood staring at my adoptive mother as i met my mom at the dining table with my adoptive dad's picture. She had tears brimming at the corner of her eyes. From a glance one could easily tell that those tears were threatening to fall off her eyes her eyes as they eventually bailed out and she started wailing. She didn't even notice my prescence in the house as she was clouded in the mist of her own tears.

Making my way towards her, I tried to comfort her, but all my efforts to do so were fruitless as she the only thing she wanted to do was to mourn her dead husband.

I thought about telling her about the diary but i decided against it as this was not the right timing to do so.

Retiring to my bedroom with my backpack, I took my dad's diary from my backpack and opened it. Then, I came across different varieties portions. They were of different kinds. The green-colored portion was called "wolf base." It was used to weaken werewolves . Just a drop of the liquid on any weapon used to attack a werewolf will weaken them instantly and also slow down their healing pace. With the portion they are half as dead already. Then there was a blue portion which was used to stop the vampires from healing and also inflict pain on them. No matter how strong or powerful the vampire may be he or she must succumb to effect of the portion. While the last portion, which was red in color, was used to hurt witches. When a witch is flying in the night, they do so without the use of their skin. So they keep the skin in a pumpkin. When the skin is obtained, you can either pour salt on the skin or pour the red liquid, but the red liquid works faster than the salt. Then when the skin is kept back in the pumpkin, the witch comes back from her coven or adventure, puts on the skin, and burns to death. Sounds creepy and interesting, right?

But then, thinking about something, I discovered something. The green-colored portion was found alongside with the corpse of my adoptive dad, and no other portion was found with him. That means he was scratched to death by a wolf, yes a wolf. My eyes widened in horror. I decided to check the diary for other clues, but I was too tired to do so, so I succumbed to the sleeping wish of nature which was slowly calling me into its warm bossom. As if i would even have a sound sleep without the horrible night mares haunting me.
