Chapter 48: Game Of Fire And Embers

Daemond put on his clothes without making a sound. His hands buttoned the shirt he was wearing while his eyes still watched the face of the girl who was still asleep on her bed.

Annica's soft snoring made him smile.

Looks like the girl is really tired, Daemond thought.

The blanket Annica was wearing only covered half of her naked body.

Daemond examined the reddish marks that lingered on Annica's fair skin, left over from what happened last night. It started from her neck, down to the brownish nipples.

Daemond grabbed the strands of Annica's blonde hair that covered her face and pushed them gently. Silently, he watched her innocent face wade through her dreams.

He knew that Annica still couldn't let go of her hatred.
