Chapter 14: The Tower V-3rd Floor
The shop panel appeared and an array of weapons, armor and potions was revealed to me. Each in a square of its own under its own category.
[All shop items will be limited to B-Rank for now.]
[Shop currency is Points. Points can be earned from selling to the shop or by completing special side-quests.]
[You can exchange [Gem Of Inertia] for 500 Points.]
"That useless gem? Exchange it."
[Exchange successful.]
"What can I buy for 500 points?"

"Equip [Rune-Enhanced Coat], [Fortified Gloves] [Fortified Boots] and [Darksteel Longsword]."
[Armor [Rune-Enhanced Coat] equipped. armor [Fortified Gloves] equipped. Weapon [Darksteel Longsword] equipped. Armor [Fortified Boots] equipped.]
In an instant, a black coat appeared on my body, gloves on my hands and boots on my feet. A black longsword also appeared in my hand. All of this along with the [Wind blessed chesplate] increased my strength significantly.
"Finally I feel like an actual hunter! Speaking of which, are there any cursed items in the shop?"
[Searching....! (1) cursed item found.]
[Cursed Gun [Soulbound Revolver] is available for 10 points.]
"A revolver? There is a god that's known for using guns, so artifacts like that make sense but for only 10 points?"
[Gun [Soulbound Revolver]: An ancient cursed weapon created by a god that binds itself to its user's soul. It's bullets are made from blood and lifespan and filled with Mana. Cursed with [Randomized Death], its bullets use the owner's mana and amplify it by double to deal high damage but randomly one of its 8 bullets will absorb 25% of the user's lifespan and either instantly kill the user or deal an 8x amplified attack. Cannot be absorbed by [Curse Absorption].]
"Russian roulette in a fucking curse?! I swear those petty gods are just playing like children."
[Warning! Excessive blasphemy might cause an administrator or an outside god's influence. Please refrain from angering higher beings, the tower cannot protect you in such cases.]
"So much for freedom of speech. Buy it."

"Equip [SoulBound Revolver]."
In an instant a rhino revolver appeared in my hand, its main body a beautiful black color while its grip/handle was a comfortable and gorgeous oak wood. All in all other than the deep cuts and scratches on its body it was a flawless masterpiece of an artifact.
"How beautiful-Ack!"
A painful stab suddenly struck my palm and when I let go the revolver remained connected to me through a strange black string.

"Take it."
In an instant, I felt an energy leave my body as bullets appeared in the revolver's cylinder.
"That's not very pleasant, let's check its power now."
I thought of it returning to my hand and the black string shortened and brought it back to my palm. I held it with my hand on the trigger and aimed at the white floor of the safe room. As my mana concentrated on the bullets I pressed the trigger.
*BANG!*
*BOOM!* the bullet struck the floor and left a large crater about the size of a fountain.
"That was a powerful atta-"
[Insta-Kill Curse triggered!]

The crimson energy soon appeared and pulled me back to life.
"Fuck! The first bullet and it already killed me?!"
[A holster and sheathe are recommended for your weapons. Will you purchase them for 5 points?]
"Buy them." I replied.
Instantly a sheath appeared on my waist and a shoulder gun holster appeared above my chest armor.
[Will you enter the 3rd floor now?]
"Sure, I was going to try this gun anyway!"
[Teleporting climber [John Crane].]
In an instant, the scene changed and I appeared in a new place.
"A Colosseum this time?"
[The mission will be in a duel format.]
[one or more monsters will appear in each round for 3 rounds.]
[The monster's ranks will increase by one each round.]
[Monster quantity will double each round.]
[This floor's rewards will be reduced due to its low difficulty. You will receive 1 Level and a random reward.]
"Huh? Why is it reduced?"
[In the case of a randomized reduction, the next floor's difficulty will be increased significantly.]
"Couldn't you have asked first?"
[A climber is unrelated to the tower's decisions]
[None can influence or effect the tower's will.]
"What about the gods?"
[Not even the gods. The tower is an entity beyond this Existence.]
[It is branched across several existences and worlds.]
"Why did you warn me about the gods then?"
[The gods have higher authority and privileges than the non-ranked climbers.]
[If your words pull upon their causality, they might use their authority to effect your climbing experience.]
[Even then their authority is severely limited. Administrators like me for example have higher authority.]
"I thought I was talking to the tower, you're an administrator?"
[I am an administrator but not every message is from me, some messages come from the tower whereas my job is to answer your questions.]
"All for me?"
[There are only 3 climbers in the [Suicide] difficulty currently, and the others don't exactly have the mental state to ask questions.]
"There are others? I thought I was the only one who owuld choose such a difficulty."
[I thought the same but I'm afraid they don't really have your means in terms of durability. They've just barely scraped by so far. I doubt they'll make it to the 5th floor.]
"Now that's an interesting thing.while you're here, what's at the tower's top?"
[On the 100th floor that no being has reached two things reside: the [Wish Stone] and a door.]
"A door, where to?"
[You don't have the clearance for that information. In fact no one does, even I don't. The [Wish Stone] is more clear though, it grants 3 wishes no matter what to the one who clears the 100th floor first.]
"Hmm… how high is the furthest floor currently climbed?"
[It's the 88th floor: [Immortal Graveyard]. The gods as you'd call them are currently stuck there.]
"Oh, that far away? I'm guessing they're all on easy?"
[Of course, i'll tell you another fact as well. After the 50th floor all difficulties have the same locations but the difference is inthe missions. those in the normal difficulty are stuck at the 70th floor, those in the hard at the 60th floor, hell difficulty stopped at the 40th floor, the impossible difficulty at the 20th floor, and the [Suicide] difficulty at the 4th floor.]
"4th?!"
[no one has survived the 4th floor in the [Suicide] difficulty.]
"Fuck, I'll have to be the first then!"
[You? A human street rat from the dirty streets of your already lowly human race ranked 9998th on the rankings?]
"Yes. That's exactly who I am, don't forget that even when I stand at the final floor's door."
[HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! The final floor? You're definitely an interesting one!]
