Chapter 4: Uninvited Gusts

Tomorrow Night came very fast, a full moon was illuminating the black sky with its glowing light.

A few distance away from Ashen territory, six armed knights were riding on horses.

Their destination was Ashen territory and their goal was to kill the Ashen Adele, the last descendant of Ashen bloodline.

The six armed knights advanced through the night, their silhouettes moving gracefully under the luminous gaze of the full moon. Clad in dark armour, they emanated an air of ruthless determination as they neared the borders of Ashen territory.

Their horses' hooves echoed through the quiet night, a sombre prelude to the impending conflict. The mission to eliminate Ashen Adele, the last descendant of the once-proud Ashen bloodline, weighed heavily on their shoulders.

As they approached the outskirts of Ashen territory, the knights exchanged glances, silent communication passing between them. The gravity of their task hung in the air, and a tense anticipation settled over the group.

As the knights closed in, their forms becoming more distinct in the moonlit night, a charged atmosphere enveloped the scene.

"stop."

The man in the lead raised his hand to stop the horses and waited a moment.

Then the front door of the mansion slowly opened.

Kik-.

The men and knights entered the main gate and stared at a servant approaching them.

"Are you sir Isaac?"

The servant who encountered the knights asked that question, but the man called Isaac did not answer the question.

He took out a necklace with a lion pattern on his chest and showed it.

The servant looks at the necklace and sucks a cold breath.

The knight named Isaac belongs to the Lions family, the strongest family at the moment.

After a moment servant nodded his head and looked back at Isaac, there stood the five strongest knights that being to other five strongest noble families

"Yes, that's enough. But why are the knights in the back… … ."

The servant looked a bit bewildered.

They must have come to kill Adele, the head of the Ashen family.

Therefore, the servant could not understand.

Leaving aside Isaac, Five knights are dispatched to kill just one child… ….

"Is there any issue??"

"It's not like that, but…"

"Then lead the way." Isaac coldly replied to the servant who just nodded his head and started to walk toward Adele's room.

Walking one step behind we're the k

knights.

The corridor of the hallway was silent and dark as there was no light, the only source of light was there was the moonlight that was coming from the windows.

Not one servant could be seen because everyone knew that today was the day that 'Six Big Family' would dispatch their knight to kill Adele.

Every servant was bribed by 'Six Big Family'. That's why they were hiding in a corner of the mansion.

The moonlit corridor remained silent, shrouded in an eerie darkness. The group continued to advance, the weight of their intentions palpable in the air. The knights, following Isaac, moved with a predatory precision, their armour producing faint metallic sounds with each step.

The servant, leading the way with a mix of reluctance and fear, guided them through the mansion's labyrinthine halls. Now and then, the moon's glow would reveal glimpses of elaborate paintings adorning the walls, chronicling the once-vibrant history of the Ashen family.

As they approached Adele's room, a heavy tension settled among the group. The servant hesitated before the closed door, turning to face Isaac.

"Here is the young master's room. He's been secluded for days. I hope your business is not too disruptive."

Isaac, without uttering a word, signalled to the five knights behind him. Their expressions were stern, masks of determination carved into their faces.

Issac was going to open the door however at the last moment his battle instinct screamed, it was telling him something was wrong with this room.

Issac stopped at the last moment and stared at the door.

Everything was according to going with their plan but that's why it's felt that something is wrong.

The room was too silent for Issac's liking.

'It could be that child isn't inside of a room or is he sleeping.'

"You go inside."

"Me?"

After thinking for a bit Isaac called a servant and said to head inside Adele's room.

"Then who else? Now don't waste any moment and go."

"...All right."

The servant clicked his tongue inside but dragged his steps without saying anything.

Because he had no intention of daring to challenge Isaac, one of the six family knight commanders.

Sigh.

The servant carefully opened the door in case Adele woke up.

"Young master?"

The servant who quietly called Adele closed the door to avoid suspicion and slowly approached the bed.

As he neared the bed, he poked his head out to check Adele's condition.

"What? you're sleeping after all."

Adele was sleeping soundly under the covers.

The Young Master imploded have any suspicions at all.

There was no way he knew that the knights would come in advance.

Even if he knew, it wouldn't matter.

How could such a kid deal with the knights behind him?

"Well, I need to check properly."

The servant had to do what he was told to do without muttering because he was afraid of Isaac

The remaining servants of the Ashen family survived because they were at the bottom during the Ashen family's purge.

Since then, he secretly took bribes from the six families and sold the information, so he had heard about Peltz's fear.

'I didn't want to add a stroke to the rumour by going against the planting against him.'

"There is no grudge."

This child is innocent, but... He doesn't want to die either.

Glancing at the sleeping figure of Adele, Servent couldn't help but that with a frown on his face. 'What the heck is this kid, what do the six families care about...'

'Well, it doesn't matter to me...'

The servant justified himself and approached Adele. To make sure Adele is asleep.

In the meantime.

Seruk-!!

Adele's eyes opened.

The ominous red eyes shining through the gaps in the eyes scanned the servant's body.

The Servant felt a shiver rub down his spine as he saw those eyes.

"What-"

Before Servent could utter any words, his body froze.

It's because Servent was under the control of Adele [Live] trait. Every organ inside the servant's body was under the control of Adele.

Thrust-!!!

Thud-

Without missing a moment Adele thrusted the servant's neck with his dagger.

The servant died.

"One is down, Six more to go," Adele muttered as he gazed at the dead body of the servant.

His ominous red eyes glowed in blood-red colour.
