Chapter 13: Unexplored Doungen [2]

I started to run soon enough after checking the condition of the Giant human.

Asia run one thought entered my mind.

'Why didn't that giant human die?'

When I tried to force break the barrier it repelled the attack, so the giant human rock body should have been crumbling by now.

But it didn't...

The barrier should have disappeared if the giant rock human dies but it still exists.

That means this dungeon is stage-based.

Stage that leads to the next stage after clearing the current stage.

It should be a problem for someone else but not for.

'Because I have an ability that allows me to skip the stages.'

With the help from [Location Exchange 'I'], I could change the position of the next monster and lock him in the barrier and I transported myself other side of the barrier.

After running for seconds I could see the second barrier, the distance between the previous one and this one was roughly around 100 meters.

As I came close to the barrier I could see the next guardian

At first glance, the stone statue looked like a giant ant, the giant ant was bigger and stronger than a rock human.

It has six big legs, that crumble the ground by sitting on its feet.

Since this is a second guardian it should be stronger than rock human.

But I didn't have time to waste for him.

Like the rock human, that giant ant is likely to be inanimate.

"Location."

I muttered as I focused on the giant ant's body, trying to build a link between us.

Again, it was as I expected.

'Okay.'

The link was connected between us, now I can use my ability.

The giant ant, like the rock human, also meant inanimate.

I used location exchange as is.

"Exchange."

shook-.

The giant ant and my location changed.

Looking back in that state, I saw a giant ant trapped in a veil without knowing why.

Keruk-?

Then, when my eyes met giant ant eyes, giant ant started to get furious.

Like the rock human, it also roars while tapping the barrier with its sharp paws.

My body would be torn like a piece of paper if I got caught on that forepaw.

but.

'This is the story of when he came out of the barrier.'

I don't know how sturdy the shroud is, but it should be enough to buy me some time.

In the meantime, let's get away from him.

I watched the giant ant for a while, then kicked it off the ground and ran.

… I ran for a few minutes and stopped.

"There is nothing this time."

My expression hardened as another veil appeared.

Unlike before, there are no monsters in the barrier.

First of all, I exchanged the location with the stone in the square.

However, I felt a sense of incongruity in moving my steps.

Suk.

I grabbed a stone that was lying around.

Then, it was thrown toward the front of the long stone chamber.

After a while, it was the moment when a stone flew in a parabola and fell to the floor.

bang!

Suddenly there is a roar and two rocks protruding from the wall.

A lump of stone caught between the rocks turned into a handful of powder.

'… … .'

crazy.

It's a trap all of a sudden.

My head was dizzy at the unexpected change.

Fortunately, it was not difficult to figure out the conditions for triggering the trap.

contact with the floor. If I touch any contact with the floor then my body would explode.

It seemed that this was the only trap-triggering condition.

As I stood there, trying to process the sudden appearance of the trap, my mind raced with a thousand thoughts and possibilities. It was clear that this dungeon was far more dangerous and cunning than I had initially anticipated, and I needed to tread carefully if I hoped to survive.

Glancing around the chamber, I quickly assessed my surroundings, searching for any signs of danger or hidden threats. But aside from the trap triggered by contact with the floor, there seemed to be no other immediate dangers lurking nearby.

Taking a deep breath to steady my nerves, I began to formulate a plan to navigate through this treacherous chamber and reach the other side safely. I couldn't afford to let fear or uncertainty cloud my judgment – I needed to stay focused and alert if I wanted to make it out of this dungeon alive.

With a cautious step, I tested the ground in front of me, making sure to avoid triggering the trap.

Fortunately, the floor next to me didn't explode

But there is a next problem that arose in front of me.

'How I can get the next barrier?'

The distance between me and the next barrier is around 100 meters and all ground from here on will start to explode if I take one step forward.

As I stood there, pondering my next move, a sense of urgency washed over me. The distance to the next barrier was significant, and with the floor rigged to explode upon contact, crossing it seemed like an impossible feat.

But I couldn't afford to give up now. I had come too far to turn back, and failure was not an option. I needed to find a way to reach the next barrier and continue my journey through this perilous dungeon.

Surveying the chamber once more, my eyes landed on the walls, searching for any possible means of escape or assistance. And then, I saw it – a series of protrusions and indentations running along the walls, forming a makeshift path leading towards the next barrier.

With a surge of hope, I realized that this could be my ticket to safety. If I could navigate along the walls and reach the next barrier without touching the floor, I might just stand a chance of making it out of here alive.

Without hesitation, I leapt towards the nearest protrusion, my fingers grasping onto the rough stone as I pulled myself up. With practised agility, I began to scale the wall, using every available handhold and foothold to propel myself forward.

The climb was treacherous, and more than once, I found myself teetering on the brink of disaster. But with sheer determination and steady resolve, I pressed on, inching closer to my goal with each passing moment.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I reached the end of the makeshift path, my heart pounding in my chest with a mixture of relief and exhaustion. And there, just ahead of me, stood the next barrier, beckoning me forward with its shimmering veil.

Taking a deep breath to steady my nerves, I prepared myself for the final leap.

From here I can use [Location Exchange 'I'].

I focused on a small stone other side of the barrier and used the position exchange to enter the veil.

Then the text appears larger.

[Welcome to the end.]

"What is this?"

For a moment, I had a puzzled expression.

'Welcome to the end.'

It was something I couldn't understand.

Wasn't this unexplored area built to protect the treasure?

Then shouldn't it write a letter cursing the intruder, why say welcome?

… Maybe it's because it's a demon?
