"Are you sure you don't intend to kill me anyway?"

Cale said with a smile.
"It's worth knowing the name of yours after all you survive this long, tell me your name."

Cale looked at me, repeating my name without Ashen's last name.

I was startled as my body started flowing in the air, I suddenly felt my entire body paralysed as I couldn't move anything on my body.
"Open your mouth," Cale said as he raised at me with his cold eye, I tried to struggle with it but my mouth slowly opened against my will.
Then Cale opened his hand palm and a snake resembling a blame dragon crawled out of his skin.
The snake jumped from Cale open and landed on my shoulder and from there it started to crawl in the direction of my mouth.
I tried to shake off the snake but I couldn't move.
"No!" I shouted internally, but my voice was trapped within my paralyzed body.
Just as the snake's forked tongue touched the edge of my lips, I felt a surge of desperation. Slowly snake crawled itself down my throat and settled himself in the centre of my chest.
-Thud!
"ahh!"
As the snake finally settled himself on my chest, Cale undo the paralyses and I hit the ground.
I groan in pain, the whole process was very painful for me.
"The snake that was a 'Poison Shard'. It's for my daughter's safety."
Ignoring me Cale continues to say in a cold voice.
My body trembled at the name 'Poison Shard.'
It was the name of a poison made from mana that parasitizes the human body and leads to the destruction of the host.
If I ever betray Rene or try to escape the Boros family estate, 'Poison Shard' will tear my heart apart without mercy.
If I tried to get rid of his Poison Shard, the snake would send a signal to Cale.
To sum it up, if I go against Cale even a little bit, I would be dead.
It means that I am in a situation where my heart could burst and I will die.
Bitter resentment surged within me as I cursed my luck and cursed Cale for trapping me in this nightmare. But amidst the anger and despair, a flicker of determination burned bright within me.
I refused to be Cale's pawn. I refused to let him dictate my fate. I would find a way to break free from his grasp, no matter the cost.
But for now, I had no choice but to play along with Cale's twisted game. With a trembling hand, I pushed myself upright and forced myself to meet Cale's gaze.
"You win," I muttered bitterly, my voice tinged with defeat. "I'll do as you say."
Cale's lips curled into a cruel smile as he looked down at me with cold satisfaction. "Good," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "Remember, Adele, I hold your life in my hands. Cross me, and you'll regret it."
With a dismissive wave of his hand, Cale turned away, "Now go get some rest I will call you later."
I held back the rage that was burning inside of me, A curse word that was escaping from my mouth was stopped at my throat.
It was crystal clear that I was in no position to do anything right now.
"Go away."
I bowed my head and dragged my steps at the Cale's celebratory order that followed again.
But my face bent down, showed no emotion of frustration.
Because the way to get rid of the snake flashed through my mind.
