Chapter 46: Chapter 46: It's Just Business, It's Not Just Business

Saint Galli had a look of apology on his face and said in a tone full of regret, "I understand you, I too am a father. I have two sons and a daughter, and my daughter is the apple of my eye. Believe me, I can relate to you."

Just when Brian thought the other party would have a change of heart, he continued, "But I'm sorry, this is business. You understand, business. I have to be responsible for my clients, there's nothing else I can do."

It seemed Saint Galli, out of a guilty conscience, explained a bit more before telling the guards beside him, "Alright, I still have things to do. Deal with him, but gently, don't disturb our guests."

After Saint Galli left, one of the guards gave a signal to the guy behind Brian, who understood and slipped a belt around Brian's neck.

The belt tightened slowly, making Brian's breathing increasingly difficult.

The guys in front of him watched Brian being strangled with indifferent expressions, clearly accustomed to such acts. Brian struggled to twist his neck, but the situation did not improve.

Amid the mocking looks of the men in front of him, Brian suddenly jumped up, using the force of his descent to snap off the exhaust pipe's hook, which fell on one of the guy's heads, eliciting a cry of pain.

Brian took the opportunity to kick another guy in the stomach, sending him flying, then turned around and landed a kick in the lower body of the guy behind him, breaking his neck amid his pained moans.

The guy hit by the exhaust pipe had just recovered when Brian rushed over and stepped on his foot, causing him to cry out in pain, then Brian delivered a punch that crushed his throat cartilage, leaving only a painful "gurgling" sound.

The guy Brian had kicked away was just getting up from the ground, about to draw his gun, but Brian pounced on him, grabbing the gun. Brian was clearly stronger, and the gun's muzzle was slowly turned back, ultimately resting against the guy's thigh before a gunshot sounded.

"Oh~~~"

The man cried out in pain, and Brian took the opportunity to seize the handgun, firing two more shots into the man's chest.

At the elevator entrance, Saint Galli, hearing the gunfire inside, disdainfully curled his lip and ordered his subordinate, "Go check what they understand by 'gentle'."

The subordinate had barely agreed when a bullet burst his head open, with Brian's figure appearing at the door. Saint Galli was shocked.

"Pop, pop"

It was too late to run; Brian shot Saint Galli in the left arm. Just as the elevator door opened, Saint Galli fell into it, moaning in pain. Being shot was too painful, and as a wealthy man, he had never suffered like this before.

Brian approached, gun pointed at him, "Tell me, where are the girls?"

"Don't kill me..."

Pop, the bullet hit Saint Galli's right arm, making him shiver.

"You can't do this..."

Pop, this time it was the left leg. Saint Galli cried out in pain again, but he had learned his lesson.

"At the end... the corridor... in the room at the end of the corridor, please don't kill me..." Saint Galli said, pleading and pointing to the next door, "Spare me... I have children... this... this is just business, it's not personal..."

Brian looked at him steadily, with not a trace of mercy in his eyes, "Now it is personal."

Pop, pop, pop

Ending the man's life, Brian didn't bother with the body still in the elevator and rushed towards the end of the corridor.

Along the way, he encountered more people coming out of rooms to check what was happening, likely those involved in the auction. For these people, Brian made no exceptions and sent them to meet their maker.

At the end of the corridor, Brian pushed open the door to a small room connected to the transparent auction hall. Upon entering, he saw several girls and a bald man; Owen shot the man twice, then began desperately searching among the girls.

He found Amanda but not Kem.

"Amanda, do you remember me? I'm Kem's father. Where is Kem? Has she been sold?"

"Ah... uh... wuwu..."

Amanda burst into tears upon recognizing Brian, and the other girls, their grief reignited, cried along. Anxious, Brian had no choice but to patiently comfort Amanda, a normal reaction for someone experiencing such a drastic change. To find out Kem's whereabouts, Brian had to calm Amanda down.

After a while, Amanda's emotions somewhat stabilized, and she sobbed, "Kem... is not here. I was supposed to be sent to a clubhouse, but they confused me with Kem."

"You mean Kem was sent to the clubhouse?"

"Yes... wuwu..."

Fuck!!!

...

Clubhouse, Third Floor

Owen was passionately kissing the female assassin against the hallway wall, making smacking noises. Unsatisfied, the woman pressed Owen's head against her chest, enjoying his movements and making satisfied hums.

The shadow of someone appeared through the round glass of a nearby wooden door, which then opened to reveal several armed guards. Seeing the two in a compromising position, the guards' ferocity paused, and a knowing smile appeared on their faces.

Approaching the couple, the guards saw the woman's panic as she noticed them and began to push the man away.

The guards smirked, one even whistled, and the leader said, "Excuse us, but there has been an intrusion. Could you please show some identification?"

The man paused mid-action, seemingly startled, as the guards laughed. However, fire suddenly erupted from under the man's arm.

"Pop, pop, pop, pop"

Several muffled gunshots rang out, and all the guards fell to the ground.

The female assassin pushed Owen away, straightened her clothes, and retrieved the silenced pistol from under Owen's arm, reloading it. Owen looked on, still longing, admiring her ample figure, only to receive an eye roll from the female assassin.

After reloading their ammunition from the bodies, Owen immediately switched back to rescue mode. With their teamwork, they quickly cleared the third floor of roaming guards, turning them all into ghosts under their guns.
