Chapter 2: Chapter 3- Golden Finger
In his bedroom, Shiki let himself relax and sat on his bed after such a hectic day. Shiki couldn't help but feel tired.
He could not be as relaxed as other time travelers because his golden finger was just too unreliable, unlike other time travelers who have some kind of invincible God System which would make them invincible, or some lazy Sign-In System which would give them super awesome sign-in rewards daily.
Thinking of his unreliable golden finger, he couldn't help but sigh with dejection.
After a while, he suddenly fumbled around his collar and took out a weird-looking necklace whose chain was made of silver.
There were three strange-looking trinkets on the chain which looked like some kind of little treasure chest found in a game and gave a mysterious aura, as if there was something extremely valuable inside them.
All three of them were made of different metals. The first one was made of bronze and gave a bit of an ancient feeling, as if a treasure had been thrown into the soil for decades. The second one was made of silver and gave a noble feeling, like a knight full of chivalry. The last one was made of gold; it was also the most exquisite of them all, as if made by God himself, and looked the most valuable.
These little trinkets were somewhat related to his time travel back on earth. He was just an ordinary college boy who was pursuing his degree in engineering. I still remember it was a rainy season, but on that particular day, it did not rain, so I went out to get some air. While crossing through the bazaar, I came across an old street vendor who was selling small trinkets. They looked quite exquisite, but out of all of them, a particular trinket attracted my attention.
Yeah, you guessed it right. It was this treasure chest necklace of mine, which I bought for only $100. Just after buying and leaving the Bazaar, I was hit by an out-of-control truck from nowhere, and this is how I traveled through here.
As you may have thought, yes, you can get treasures out of these treasure chests, but the condition is it takes 5 YEARS to unlock one treasure chest, and you can only unlock one at a time. When I was born, it automatically started the procedure to unlock the Bronze Treasure Chest.
And now I am extremely excited because tomorrow I can finally open the bronze treasure chest.
Feeling tiredness coursing through his body, I felt extremely sleepy and fell asleep.
The next morning"
"Little Shiki, Shiki, come out, it's already 5 in the morning. Today is an important day for you, don't be late."
"Okay, getting up in a minute," I said sleepily.

In 30 minutes, I came out of the bathroom. I stood in front of a mirror and saw a cute... What do you really expect? A 5-year-old to be handsome? Come on, such things don't exist, even in the Ninja world where children are quite cautious, but it is not to that extent.
If you talk about the parents, I took most from my deceased mother. I have golden hair which gives a noble feeling. If you look closely, among those golden hair, there were a few strands of silver-grey hair which overall gave a mysterious feeling, amber-colored eyes which look like a lion's, a straight nose, chubby cheeks, fair skin color, 102 cm in height, a proper cute little shota who could charm any aunt in his neighborhood.
Sigh, what a handsome boy. I can't help but comment narcissistically.
Even I have to accept that only the Uchiha Clan, which produces handsome men and beautiful women, can rival the Hatake Clan in beauty.
After admiring himself for a while, I started to get ready. I wore a black kimono with a wolf pattern on its back and tied my hair with a black thread in a short ponytail. While getting ready, I suddenly found that the bronze treasure chest around my neck was shining. As I was thinking of something, I remembered that today is my birthday and I am 5 years old and can open The Bronze Treasure Chest.
Just the thought of finally being able to use my Golden Finger made me so excited that I opened it immediately.
After opening the treasure chest, a huge illusory roulette wheel made of some kind of wood suddenly appeared in front of me.
The prizes were divided into 5 different categories: bronze, silver, gold, purple gold, and rainbow colors, respectively low to high in quality. I only had a single chance to spin the wheel because the bronze treasure chest can only provide one chance to spin. The silver one can provide two chances, and the golden one can provide three chances to spin.
After learning the rules of the roulette, I couldn't help but curse my unreliable Golden Finger. After all, since I was a child, I have never been lucky in such games that are totally dependent on fate. After thinking but not finding any solution to the problem I was currently facing, I sighed and could only press the button to start the illusory roulette wheel.
After pressing the button, the roulette started spinning little by little, and in a few seconds, it became so fast that I couldn't even see the colors of the prizes properly. I was a bit nervous; after all, this Golden Finger is his only hope to rise to the top.
As the roulette started to slow down, my breathing started to get quicker. I stared intently towards the roulette as if my gaze could push it a few inches further.
Slowly and steadily, it moved towards the golden area. My breathing became extremely rapid because of excitement. After a few seconds, it stopped on a golden light ball, and the roulette started to disintegrate little by little, leaving only the golden light ball in front of me, as if there was never a huge roulette wheel here; only the light ball showed that it ever existed.
