Chapter 9: Lion and Lioness (Part 2)

However, something wasn't right for the anomaly… something left that place without leaving any apparent trace.
But after a few seconds of searching, the anomaly spotted a hole under a table near one of the room's employees.
And he already thought that whoever had left the place so cunningly was the sergeant there.
His aura increased dramatically at the thought, for he had never seen a human being so clever against him as to survive the massacre.
Without much thought, he destroyed the wall in front of him and began his search for Sergeant Takashi.
"Wait, how did my father escape from that place?" Shin asks himself, frowning, and pauses the video that is in progress.
The Pentagon is confused by the pause, and it suddenly starts spinning, after which two small arms appear on its body.
"What's on your mind, kid?" He asks in a bitter tone while keeping his arms crossed.
Shin was startled by this and didn't know that a polygon could take on a life of its own to the point of dialogizing or having movements similar to those of a human.
"Well… I just wanted to understand how my father got out of that place so easily without being captured, that's all." Shin replies with a frightened expression and an intense fear of him.
The little Pentagon then sighs and makes his little arms disappear, and he starts to rewind the video to give a clearer answer than he was already giving.
Shin keeps his arms crossed and watches the video lying on the panel above the polygon.
During the chaos that was taking place, Takashi quickly thought of a way out… and it wasn't difficult for him to execute this plan, not least because one of his skills is called "Watchful Eyes."
Whatever decision he makes, his sight takes precedence over his mind… so when he sees that there is an unknown exit where no one from the station or the anomalies would know… he successfully executes his escape.
While everyone was being killed in that room, he just slammed his foot down on the floor, where he broke a metal trapdoor that fell to the bottom of the hole and then threw himself in.
Takashi went down that hole as if he were on a children's slide at high speed.
After that descent, he falls from the ceiling and lands on a mountain of leaves.
The door opened automatically, and he started running down the main corridor of the secret base, where there were other rooms for other purposes.
Takashi was looking for a room that focused on the external communication of the entire base.
Urgent communication was needed outside the base so that the other sector would be aware of what was happening after that insane invasion.
The sergeant found the right door and opened it with his access card.
The entire base he was in was secret and held some files and objectives unknown to the government, which could not be leaked to society.
The room was dark with a few lights coming from certain panels on the side that carried general information about the base.
Meanwhile, Takashi starts to turn on the communication device and pulls out a small cord that is in a small hole in the room's communication keypad.
He plugs it into his phone and throws it upwards, a technological panel appearing on which he transmits his entire body and his voice.
"Sergeant Takashi, what's going on?! What's your emergency statement?" Exclaimed Mia, manager of the emergency sector, which was located 5 kilometers away from the base where Takashi was stationed.
"An anomaly has just invaded our secret base, I need you to contact all the military sectors and prepare a responsible person for an urgent communiqué to all the local cities in Japan." Takashi explains with a spiteful tone of voice and his body is completely tired and sweaty.
"That's an order, Mia, go now!" Takashi shouts, slamming down his desk and slamming his hand down on a button next to his waist, a large laser knife appears.
The wall behind Takashi is completely shattered by a blast of black flames.
Everyone was startled by what they were seeing, but Takashi had no fear and raised his machete against the anomaly.
"Come on, fight as hard as you can!" Takashi exclaimed, raising his laser knife at the anomaly in front of him.
The monster began to look at Takashi with a cold, emotionless gaze, and he began to walk slowly towards it.
On the anomaly's back, a black sword began to appear, covered in white diamonds around the blade.
The two began to race against each other, crossing their blades to see who would be the strongest.
And there began an exchange of blows with their blades, with Takashi being the fiercest and the anomaly the fastest.
The monster was already aware that at some point that old sergeant would begin to tire very quickly because of his escape, not to mention his age, which was already above average in terms of humanity.
At the age of 41, he was entitled to retire from the army, but Takashi hadn't even applied for retirement.
He continued to serve the Japanese government to keep safe the secrets of every file the base kept, especially all the information about other beings… especially the Vinxurians.
But in the face of all that conflict… Takashi was no longer strong enough to keep up the battle against that anomaly.
The monster's sword began to be covered in black flames, and it made its penultimate blow to cut Takashi's blade of light in half… with its last blow:
"Tsch…"
Takashi began to grunt as his chest was pierced and the blood inside him began to gush out.
His eyes darkened as he thought of his son.
"I'm sorry to leave you alone, my dear son," Takashi whispers, and he falls hard to the ground with no strength left.
The anomaly removes his sword from Takashi's body and looks at the dead sergeant in front of him.
"Dad!" Shin screams, seeing his father killed by that monster as tears fall down his face.
The Pentagon panel disappears and the video of his father suffering his tragic fate ends.
