Chapter 2: Parting ways
"Dad, am sorry but I can't spend all my life in poverty, no I can't live with my future in uncertainty. Am really sorry dad but am gonna go with mum and have a better future. I will make lot of money so that no one will look down on me in the future" Amelia muttered.
"Amelia, why are you talking like this all of a sudden, is it dad's fault for been like this, so why are you talking like this, tell me the reason" kaira yelled.
"Been poor is the reason kaira, now that mum is getting married again I won't be laughed at school, I will be free like the other kids who have nothing to worry about, so if you know what is good for you, you better join us and put and end to this hellish suffer" Amelia shouted.
"Stop it Amelia, this is not my sister, get your self together, have you seen hell (scoffs)hellish suffer you say, I guess you don't know what you are spilling from your mouth" kaira yelled.
Hey, no need for that okay, just follow your mum, I will only be a burden to you both, I want you two to have a better future, dad said turning away.
Daddy"kaira cried running to him, dad how can I leave you to suffer alone, when I know very well its not your fault for been like this, even if you are going to remain like this forever then so be it. I will make the same choice over and over again.
It's okay my princess, dad hugged me tightly, it will be fine, just remember no condition is permanent.
I guess you have made your choice then, mum said, i hope it will not be late before you realised you just missed a golden opportunity.

KAIRA POV
Am not sure if I made the right choice but even if am wrong I won't regret choosing my dad, I know what he has gone through for us now things are like this I can't leave him alone.
"No, I can't believe this is happening to me at this very young age. My world seems to be crumbling.
I can't believe my mum and my sister left me and dad because of money" I cried in tears.
Have been hearing of families been separated,I didn't know I would also one day have a family like that.
I have too fight till the end with my dad, and make him proud of me. And with that I slept off with my facing looking pale.
MR CASSANO POV
Just like that my wife left me just because I can't provide for her again, I don't resent her just that I will forever miss those memories.
Priest:Do you take Mr cassana to be your lawfully wedded husband till your eyes close in death.
Mrs groovy:Yes I do
Priest:(turning to Mr cassano)do you take Mrs groovy to be your lawfully wedded wife till your eyes close in death.

"Honey" Mr cassano called sweetly, how many kids are we gonna have
" uhmm I want just two, so that you will still have time to love me I don't need too many children to share your love for me"she replied.
"Ahhh(Laugh's) why will you say such, my love for you will never fade.
"I love you baby"Mrs Cassano said
"I love you too"he replied hugging her tightly.
Where are those promises now, was everything just an act? No it can't be, she loved me, maybe she just lost it she will come to her senses. I wish all this was a dream but she's gone, like gone, he lamented wiping his tears.
I need to go home now my daughter will be waiting for me, my source of joy I will make sure she doesn't regret choosing me over her mum.
They will regret it soon,I promise. With that he left for the house.
"Hmmm, finally am at home, home sweet home"Mr cassano said.
"Kaira, kaira" he called, daddy's back, hurr she must be sleeping now.
Entering her room he saw her sleeping peacefully on the bed,
No she must have been crying again, hmm at a very young age she's already going through a lot. Don't worry my princess daddy will make you proud, good night kaira, he pecked her forehead and with that Mr Cassano stood up and walked into his room to shower and sleep.
KAIRA POV
I could here the birds chirping, yawning, it's morning already, huh another boring day. its been a week since I stopped school already, "Amelia" I called, "damn" when will I get used to their absence, maybe with time. I could hear my tummy crying loudly, gosh I need to go and eat am so f*cking hungry.
"Good morning dad" I greeted
"Good morning my princess how was your night" my dad asked
It was fine dad, so daddy what are we having for breakfast I asked.
"Nothing much just fried egg and rice" he replied.
Wow!! This is nice dad, I started munching down the food. Dad I wrote a letter to Amelia, but she hasn't responded do you think she will write back to me I asked curiously.
"I don't know karia but it might be she hasn't received the letter or she doesn't want to associate with you anymore" Mr Cassano responded not looking at her face.
No dad, I know Amelia well, she is not like that although I don't know why she left with mum.
If you say so princess, now hurry up and eat your food before it get cold.
Just then we heard a knock at the door, coming, I rushed to open the door, dad its the post man, are you Mr Cassano he asked, "yes" Mr cassano answered.
Okay I got this for you, sign here.....have a good day sir, turned and left.
"Dad what's that" Kaira asked curiously.
"It's a letter from Amelia" dad replied not looking at me as if he was ashamed of something.
"Yippy" I shouted, you see I told you Amelia isn't like that. OMG!! She said I should meet up with her.
"Suite yourself" dad said and left.
Immediately I dressed up and left the house, I started heading to the address on the note she gave me.
"Amelia" I called as I saw her.
"Kaira" She called as we rushed at hugged each other.
I missed you so much Amelia, me too kaira, let go and eat something first.
"So Amelia how have you been" kaira asked looking at the place, wow!! This is my first time coming to eat in a place like this. "Classic" kaira muttered.
Amelia, seeing how kaira was looking at everything asked "kaira do you regret your choice, yunno my father owns this place, this is just one of his little asset.
"No, am happy with the way I am, I don't covet what's not mine, am happy I choose to be with dad" kaira replied.
We shall see if you don't covet what's not yours, by the way I don't think we will be seeing each other again, I will be travelling out of the country, so I came to spend one last time with you even if am back a lot of things will change, I don't think we will be seeing if you are not yet up too my class. And greet dad for me, I can't come and see him in his condition, Bye sister" Amelia as she left.
KAIRA POV
What was that for, did Amelia just leave like that without no proper goodbye. Life is full of twist and turns, I can't believe my own sister can turn out to be like this. After everything dad did for her and mum she could still insult dad like that. Hmmm, I hope they realise what they are doing is wrong before it's to late.
