Chapter 2: The Red Reapers
Adam maintain his composure as he watched them approach him, he was still deciding how to deal with them, should he just evade their attacks or slam them backwards.
Benjamin moves his dagger to Adam's neck, but a sudden voice from behind stopped him.
"I won't do that if I were you"
Benjamin stares at Adam with murderous eyes, Adam is fortunate that an outsider came just in time to save him, or else he would've been dead.
His grips on the dagger tighten, and he turned to face the stupid outsider.
"Hey, mind your business, or I will cut you down!"
He purposely displayed the black symbol on his right hand that indicated his ability grade.

A nobody will be wise enough to pick up the signal, a normal human can never stand a chance against an ability user, this man will apologize soon and disappear hastily, then he can continue his deal with Adam.
He must send Adam to the grave today, a worthless person like him shouldn't be allowed to live.
"You are an ability user, exactly what we wanted"
The man approach the scene with a broad smile on his face.
Benjamin panicked seeing the man wasn't afraid, and his words were confusing.
"What do you mean, we"
The man stopped and snapped his fingers.
"The Red reapers!"
Immediately he snapped his fingers, a landing sound was heard and more than ten men with super abilities emerged from the darkness, they circled the scene immediately.
Benjamin's heart beat increased as he glanced at the men surrounding them, they were all abilities users with grades of five, four, and three.
His heart was pounding because of the name the man mentioned, that is the terrorist group that has been kidnapping ability users, rumors say they are extracting their power core, whatever the case, whoever cross their path is a dead meat.
Benjamin drops to his knees with terror fully expressed on his face.
"Sir, please let us go, we will get the hell out of here quickly"
The rest three abilities users also dropped to their knees, their body were quivering as they wait for the strange man responds
"The Red reapers show no mercy boys"
He snapped his fingers again and dozens of needles pierced Benjamin and his lads, they collapsed to the ground instantly.
"Take them to the Van, and knock this guy to the ground"
The man turned leaving but Adam words stop him.
"Since you said you are from the Red reapers, then I would like you to answer my questions"
"Why are you doing this, what is your gain, and I want to see your boss"
Adam eyes focused on the man, the Red reapers are making the hero association go through a lot of difficult situations.
These people have been abducting ability users and extracting their cores, the reasons they are doing this are still unknown and little information is known about them, this is the first time he is coming across them, and he won't let it slide, perhaps he will solve the whole case today.
The man sensed Adam sudden aura, but his gaze was drawn to the black symbol on Adam's right hand, those kids weren't wrong after all, he is such a weakling, yet he wants to play a hero in the most fashionable way.
"Boss, should we teach him a lesson"
One of the men behind Adam asked with a smile.
"Just knock him down, we have no time to waste here"
The man cheeked moved, he brought out a bracelet from his pocket then he clicked the button on the bracelet, causing the golden bracelet to stretch into a cane.
He walked slowly to Adam with an evil smirk.
"Boy, you are going to regret being hit by me"
Adam took a glance at the surrounding men, they are eleven in numbers and the lowest among them is grade three, he will have to adjust his grade a little if he wants to defeat all of them.
What grade will handle these people easily, according to his dictionary, hardened body grade nine or ten will handle them easily without drawing more attention.
"Harden body; Grade 10"
The man leashes forward and strikes his cane on Adam's neck, but the cane suddenly broke into three places.
His eyes widened seeing the cane broke into pieces, how can a grade zero ability user have such a strong body.
Adam turned to face him.
"I want to see your overall boss"
The man's face squeezed, who dare hell does this kid think he is anyway.
"Little—"
Before the man could finish his words, Adam covers the man's face with his palm.
"Bang!"
The impact collapsed the man to the ground, Adam didn't want to destroy anything, so he had to hold down his strength.
"Who will give me the answers I am looking for"
He turned to face the boss and dozens of needles smashed him in the middle, but they all dropped to the ground without getting through his skin.
The boss eyebrows raised seeing his needle technique didn't work on the kid, this kid is just a grade zero ability user, how can his body be this tough.
He should add more energy to the attack.
"Swoosh!"
The boss smashed over twenty needles to Adam, this time the attack was more powerful than before, but they ended up compressing into a tiny dots of steel.
The boss eyes shot open as the dots fells to the ground.
Adam gazed at the compressed needle on the ground before he faced the man.
"Those needle attacks can't get through my skin, and even if they do, you will need a thousand successfully ones to put me in these four morons state"
"So, you better quit playing around and tell me what I need to know, while I am still going easy on you"
The boss hands vibrates with a sudden fear rising inside him, he hasn't seen anybody that can withstand his sneak attacks before, and the person is even a teenager, a grade zero ability user.
His faced hardened as he glares at Adam.
"Who dare hell are you”
