Chapter 46: Battle!

Meanwhile, on the opposite group's side.

"Boss, I think they are setting up an ambush!" Shouted the man with a heat sensor Gift.

Hearing this, Cain frowned and he immediately commanded the group to stop.

"Cain, why did we stop?" Alaric walked towards him with heavy footsteps. In the group, he was the only person who dared to speak like this to him. This was because Cain was only two levels higher than him.

Cain glared at Alaric while suppressing his discontent. He then turned his head to the man with the heat sensor Gift and asked. "Where are they hiding?"

When he sensed the tense atmosphere, the man immediately responded. "They are hidden in that building over there." He pointed at a collapsed building ahead of them.

Cain turned his gaze and thought deeply. He didn't want unnecessary casualties. His subordinates might be an unruly bunch, but they were valuable to the camp.

"They only have half of our numbers. Why don't you send me together with five of our brothers to lead the charge?" Alaric suggested. He couldn't wait to hunt for more women. This desire made him unable to sit still.

Cain hesitated for a moment. 'This guy's mind is only filled with women. Sooner or later, he will rebel against me. This might be a good opportunity to deal with him. Even if he doesn't die, he will still be seriously injured.'

After thinking about this, Cain nodded his head. "Choose five of our brothers who will follow you to lead the charge."

It was an Epic-rated Gift that gives him extra stats when he is in a berserk state. Alaric effortlessly avoided the fireballs, but the same thing couldn't be said for the five people who were with him. Two of them were struck by the flames and were burned to death. The other three managed to evade, but the aftermath of the explosions caused them minor injuries.

Just as they were about to heave a sigh of relief, two of them were suddenly pierced by ice spikes and were impaled to the ground! The remaining one was also hit by an ice spike, but he managed to preserve his life. Meanwhile, Cain and the others who were watching from afar felt fearful when they saw the other group's firepower.

"It's our chance! Let's circle around! They shouldn't notice us since their focus is on Alaric! Follow me!" Cain shouted and led fifteen men to circle around the hiding spot of Rendell's group. The remaining four stayed behind to guard the chained women.

"It's a diversion! Fifteen men are circling around! They are planning to catch us off guard!" Aurora immediately reported when she saw the movement in Cain's group.

Hearing this, Rendell nodded with a serious look. "Phillip, Ralph, and Celine... You guys follow me to deal with that separate group. Kent, stay here and protect them well."

After giving his commands, he rushed out together with the three.

"You guys should not hesitate to kill those people! They are criminals and if we leave them be, they will continue to harm the innocent! We must stop them here!" Rendell warned them.

The faces of the three turned grim at his words.

Soon, they encountered Cain's crew. When they caught sight of Cain's intimidating physique and ferocious face, they couldn't help but feel nervous.

Rendell could also sense that the man posed the highest threat so he immediately activated his domain after getting closer to him. Including Cain, there was a total of five people who were trapped in his domain.

"Hm!? What's going on?" Cain furrowed his eyebrows when he sensed an overwhelming power suppressing him. He immediately activated his Gift, Might of the Lion. It was an Epic-rated Gift that gave him the hunting capabilities and the power of a lion! He also used this Gift to subdue Alaric and the rest of his subordinates.

After activating his Gift, the sense of suppression decreased, but he could feel that it was still there.

At this moment, a figure appeared before them. It was a one-armed man with a face covered in terrifying scars. He had a cold look on his face.

Seeing him made Cain realize that this man was also looking at them as if they were his prey. This made him furious. "How dare you look at me with those eyes!?" He bellowed as he lunged at Rendell.

The four people behind him also rushed out while raising their weapons in midair.
