Yuri shook his head, averting his gaze. He stared out through the window and began to pick on his nails.

"It's nothing…just that…" he trailed, taking a deep breath. "Seeing you pulled in that day with all that blood and wounds...I got really scared."

"Heh?" Nikolai appeared flabbergasted. "But why?"

Yuri looked at him, the expression on his face vanishing. "What the fuck do you mean?" He was ticked off. "You are my best friend, of course, I'd be scared if I saw you in that state!"

"You are not Caesar. He can survive basically anything, but not you! Not you, Nikolai! I literally thought you were dead and cried my fucking eyes-" he slapped a hand over his mouth, grimacing at the embarrassment he felt at that instant.

Nikolai, who pulled his head back in bafflement, grew a big smile, adjusting and moving closer to him. Pointing a finger to his chest, he probed, "You cried for me? Really?"
