Chapter 212: What Makes You So Confident?

"Well…" Adeline bit her lower lip. "The file is in the Petrov mansion."

Caesar took a moment to process what she'd just said. "What?" 

"I know!" Adeline grabbed her hair in frustration. 

"Adeline, why there?" Caesar asked, his tone calm. 

"Because it was the safest place to keep it." She drew a deep breath. "They were watching me all the time, and the least of their guesses was that mansion. They didn't think I'd be stupid enough to hide it in that mansion, and I kind of used it against them. That's why they never found it all this time."  

"If I knew what you had in mind that day at the wedding, I would have taken it with me. I never imagined I'd be leaving with you that day," she explained and drew deep breaths, her teeth nervously biting down on her finger. 

Caesar was thoughtfully silent for a few moments before asking, "So, we'll need to get the file out?"
