Chapter 11: Ch 11: Punishment Hall
Seiko woke up and sighed as she looked at the empty bed beside her.
Her husband has become grim and gloomy after losing the patriarch's position to his nephew.
Even without being given any task he would still go out and hunt curses most of the time.
She dressed up quickly because the patriarch had called her, she wasn't even told the reason.
She came to her backyard and found her son practising sword skills.
She looked at him with a worrying gaze.
Reto already made him practise hard because of his obsession with the patriarch's position but it got worse after he lost it again.
"Toshi! you should rest a bit"
"Ha…Ha…It's okay Mother, I can still go on"
"Toshi…"
She sighed again, she felt that she was ageing quickly worrying about father and son.
She can't understand them, probably because the branch leader's position is almost hereditary unless some accident happens.
This is because of the lack of talent of the branch members.
"I am leaving, have breakfast on time"
After seeing her son nod, she left.
She arrived in front of the patriarch's room where she was stopped by two of his shadows.
"The patriarch is still getting ready, please wait"
One of the shadows said, to which she nodded.
After some time, she saw Tenshi come out yawning.
She felt that he had changed since he opened his third eye before she could see nervousness and uneasiness in those white eyes but now she felt they were just blank or maybe she just could no longer see through them.
"Patriarch"
She greeted him.
"Thank you Seiko-san for taking out time for me"
"It's nothing"
"You don't have to say that, I know how busy branch heads are"
"Haha, not much"
Seiko just laughed it off.
"I am sorry, I overslept because I trained pretty hard yesterday"
"I understand"
She had heard about the patriarch hiring the famous 'Sorcerer Killer' as his teacher and it caused a scene in the family, not only because of the amount that the patriarch offered but also because they doubted Toji's ability, who couldn't even use the cursed energy.
Most of them said that the patriarch was too young and had become overconfident, though her husband surely moved his hands to make this happen.
"Then, can you take me to the punishment hall?"
"...I can take you there but can I ask why the Patriarch wants to go there?"
Normally, people would stay away from that place and only she would dump the curses that were unsuccessful in being tamed there.
"I heard it hasn't been cleaned for a long time so I thought I should do so"
"You don't need to, patriarch! If you want it clean, I will get someone to do it"
'What is going on in this kid's mind?'
She was confused.
"No, I want to practise a bit while cleaning them up"
"Umm… Patriarch, I think it may still be a little too early for you to do so"
What else could she say?
She couldn't really say 'Know your limits kid'
She felt her husband was right; this kid was too confident in his abilities, that place was filled with curses of Grade 3 and 4, and even some Grade 2 were in there.
"You don't have to worry about that, I will take care of it"
"I still can't do it, please forgive me patriarch"
If she really pushed him into the punishment hall, even though she would be happy at his death, she would surely be dealt with by her father-in-law and she was sure her husband would agree with him to become the patriarch.
"Don't worry about it, I have Grandfather's permission"
She saw him take out a piece of paper with her father-in-law's words which allowed him to go to the punishment hall.
Even though she was confused by his decision, she followed, anyway, it wouldn't hurt her.
"Okay, I will take you there"

Tenshi shook his head when he saw Seiko didn't agree to him going to the punishment hall.
Fortunately, he thought so before and got written permission from his grandfather.
However, he was sad that he had to get permission even after he became a patriarch.
As for how he got it?
He just showed his combat power a bit and his ability to escape through Mephista.
The old man happily wrote it off after he saw that he could use his eye's ability.
Soon, they came to a large field.
The field looked good, it was full of green grasses but he could feel the ominousness in the air.
"This is the entrance"
Seiko said, pointing to a wooden door with talismans on the ground.
"The hall is underground?"
"Yes"
"Open it then"
Seiko nodded and put off the talisman in some kind of order.
"Okay, you can seal it again after I enter, open it after six hours, you can do your work in the meantime"
Seiko nodded and left, she wasn't in the mood to babysit the patriarch.
"You two guard here, don't let anyone enter"
He said to the shadows before going in.
He walked down the stairs.
"Grr…rrr"
"Gwah…"
"Wuu…"
He started to hear the noises as he went down.
After he finally came to the dark creepy hall, with his Rinne-Sharingan he could finally see those disgusting curses.
They were the most disgusting things he had seen in his entire life.
The curses which had been starving for a long time, saw a human come to this place and pounced on it.
He took out the Quick Silver, ready to go on a massacre.
Quick Silver quickly blasted through most of the low-grade cursed spirits killing them in one hit.
But he felt something in his Rinne-Sharingan, he couldn't feel it because it was small and just for a moment.
He wanted to continue but he felt a danger on his back, he took no risk and used Mephista to open a door and jumped into it.
He closed the door but the hideous dog-like curse spirit had already entered.
He flew up.
Since he felt danger it was surely a Grade 2 but he could fly here so he wasn't in any danger, it's just he left Quick Silver outside.
