Chapter 40: Orc Raid
In the group, there were more than 100 Hornless Orcs that were being led by an Orc Captain and at least a dozen Orc Sergeants.
Even though Aeon didn't assess them with the [Assessment Page], he could obviously tell the difference between an Orc Soldier, Orc Sergeant and Orc Captain.
Many Orc Soldiers were carrying the Goblin Heads that dripped green blood and from the looks of it, these Orc groups had successfully raided a Goblin Village because, among the Goblin Heads, there was a Goblin Head with many tattoos.
In the Diary, Blixthorn mentioned that when he became the Village Leader, he was going to get more tattoos and markings on his face than the Current Village Leader.
Hence, Aeon could tell that the head belonged to the Village Leader.
'Wait a second…does that mean the Goblinthorn Village is raided by this large group of Hornless Orcs?'
Looking at the scene in front of him, Aeon could not help but raise his brows because, with the destruction of the Goblin Village, his plans to become close to Goblins would be a flop.
Raiding is a common thing in the Celestial World Tree and since the Trial Realm of Life and Death is similar to it, Aeon was not surprised to think that the Hornless Orc has raided the Goblin Village.
When the favorability between two monster races is at the level of 'Archenemies', they would frequently raid the village of one another.
'Didn't Blixthorn mention that the Goblinthorn Village was well hidden?'
Aeon was still unable to believe that the Goblinthorn Village was raided.
'Let's hide until the Orc group leaves.'
Even though Aeon was furious at the Orcs for spoiling his big plans on easily completing his trial, Aeon didn't dare to make a sound and silently waited until all the Hornless Orcs left.
'Although my plans have failed, I will see whether I can use the Goblinthorn Village as my temporary base.'
Aeon travelled a long distance from the Goblin Cave and could not go back any time soon.
Moreover, it is going to be night soon and hence, Aeon decided to use the Goblinthorn Village as his temporary base for the day.
'Swoosh'
Soon, Aeon followed the green blood on the ground which directly led him to the Goblinthorn Village.
'The village is a well-hidden one. No wonder Blixthorn was very confident that no one would attack his village.'
If not for the path created by the large group of Hornless Orcs, it would have been impossible for Aeon to find the Goblinthorn Village anytime soon.
It was because it was surrounded by thorny vines and large bushes.
Moreover, Aeon saw many broken traps which could easily injure even the Sergeant Grade Monsters if they were not careful.
'Toppled Watchtowers, shattered huts, debris from broken weapons, torn clothing, and scattered personal belongings of the goblins.'
As Aeon entered the ravaged village, he muttered what he saw in it and searched for a hut that he could use for the night.
'Let's repair it a little and use it.'
The Goblinthorn Village was not big and almost all the huts were shattered by the Orcs. So, he picked a hut and quickly repaired it before entering it.
'Now, let's plan on what I should do.'
After settling into his new temporary home, Aeon started thinking about the change of his plans.
'Finding another Goblin Village is almost impossible for me.'
If not for the Hornless Orcs and the direction signs in Blixthorn's Diary, finding the Goblinthorn Village was impossible for Aeon.
Hence, Aeon knew finding another Goblin Village was impossible.
'Looks like I have to slowly find some easy monsters and continue killing them just like what I was doing so far.'
After thinking for a while, Aeon decided to go with the flow and do what he was doing until now.
"What happened to my Village…Aargh?"
Just as Aeon was able to fall asleep, he heard an angry shout.
'My Village? Don't tell me there are still some goblins from this village?'
Aeon slowly peeked out of the window and saw a group of furious Goblins.
'A Goblin Sergeant and a dozen Goblin Soldiers?'
Aeon assessed the group of Goblins and muttered with a slight smile, 'It looks like there is still some luck left for me.'
It was because, looking at the group of Goblins, Aeon thought of an idea that he was very sure would work.
'For it to work, I just need the Goblin Sergreant's name.'
Aeon didn't execute his plan directly; instead, he silently observed and listened to their conversation.
"Sergeant Warthorn, it must be the Hornless Orcs from the Bloodhammer Village."
"Damn, these Orc B*stards! I am going to kill them."
"Sergeant Warthorn, how are we going to avenge our families?"
.
.
.
The Goblin Soldiers shouted one after another as they asked their group leader what they were going to do.
"What else? We are going to hunt down all the orcs from the Blood Axe Village."
The Goblin Sergreant furiously replied without thinking much.
"Yes, we are going to kill all the Orc B*stards."
"Yes."
Soon, all the Goblin Soldiers replied in unison as they agreed with the Goblin Sergeant.
From these, one could tell how simple the Goblins can be. It was just that they said things without thinking much and currently, they were furious and thus, their words are like that.
However, if their Goblin Sergeant were killed, the Goblin Soldiers didn't mind running away because that's how fearful the Goblin Soldiers are.
"And how are you going to do that? By rushing into the Orc Village?"
Amidst their excited cries, the Goblins saw a human wearing a Goblin Mask and Goblinbone Totem.
