Chapter 47: I Can't Live Without You

Maddison blushed beet red seconds later. What on earth did she just admit to?! She wanted to bury herself in the ground, never to see the light of day. 

Leo was stunned silent for a second. Then, he burst out in laughter. Maddison didn't know how else to react, all she could do was to keep her hands on her face. 

If only it was all just a dream. 

"Alright, I get it now," Leo said as he gently patted his granddaughter's hand. 

"Just do as you please. I have no objections," He continued. 

"Grandpa Leo, I-"

He shook his head, interjecting her before she could continue, "So long as you're happy and he treats you well, there won't be any problems."

"But..." He lifted one finger into the air as his expression grew dark. 

This was the same expression he had when he was threatening the masked men!

"If he hurts you, he will regret it," He warned.
