Chapter 8: Things to do (2)

**Ferdinand's POV**

In a classroom filled with the noise of some students, there's a quite handsome guy. If it wasn't for bags under his eyes and weak, thin body, he could easily become the most handsome guy in the whole Sword Academy. I'm panicking, worried, and scared all at once.

"Damn, damn, damn, how could I have agreed to that monster? I didn't even get any sleep last night. Just thinking about that monster sends chills down my spine. How could he easily defeat a student like Joshua, who's somewhere in rank 300? He's supposed to be the lowest, at 800, so he must be hiding his ability.

Should I tell him that I just said yes to his question about training because I was surprised and only said yes out of shock? But I don't know if I can say that to his face. Just imagining his smiling face while beating the crap out of Joshua's gang makes me want to run to the middle of nowhere so he couldn't find me.

But at the same time, it's an opportunity for me to grow stronger. I can finally prove to them that I too can become stronger.

But thinking about that monster, he's still not here. It's already late. Maybe this is not going to happen today. Should I be grateful that the monster is not showing up today?

Creak!

The sound of an opening door interrupts my thoughts. And to my horror, that monster-faced guy smiles while Teacher Camille scolds him for being late. I hear some other students say,

"Why is that weakling still in this school? He's just going to waste our time."

"Right, he should just apply for a job that's not related to awakening."

I hear them saying something about him being so weak. "People, don't let him fool you!" But I can just tell, who would believe me? Looking at where Ms. Camille is scolding the monster, but then he looks at my side. We make eye contact, and his smile at me gives me goosebumps. I have to smile back. I can do it; it's just smiling. Please smile. Forcing myself to smile, I smile at him. After that, we hear our teacher Camille's voice,

"Listen, Cadets. Being a student of the Sword Academy, you have to build experience on living in the wilderness. Some dungeons can be cleared in a week or more, so if you're going to raid that kind of dungeon in the future, you need experience camping in the wilderness, be it a desert, forest, or swamp. You need experience to find the right location to build a camp. So, in the next 2 months, we're going to have a camping session inside a dungeon for 7 days. So be prepared."

After that, Ms. Camille left. It's going to be a hard time in the next 2 months. I should train more. Ferdi, forgetting about the monster, is about to get up and go home but is stopped by a guy's hand on his shoulder. Looking at who it is, his eyes widen.

**Walking with the Monster**

I'm Ferdi, walking right now. I don't know where I'm going, but this monster tells me to follow him again. I pray, please don't let it be like the last time. After being overwhelmed by my fear, I open my eyes. We're in front of a luxurious, large building. This is the building where the 4-star dorm is. I only have a glimpse of the book, so I only know that it's a 4-star dorm apartment. So why are we here? Looking around while following him inside, walking and taking an elevator for 3 minutes, we finally stand in front of a door to the dorm apartment. He opens the door, and I follow him inside. What are we going to do here? He said we're going to the place to train me.

"Feel at home. Did you bring extra clothes with you? It's going to be a sweaty and tiresome day," the monster said.

What the hell? What's he talking about? Is he going to do something to me? I mean, is he into guys or something? I'm screaming inside.

"I-I didn't bring any," I said with a trembling voice.

"Oh, is that so? Next time you should bring extra clothes. I don't want you to leave with tattered clothes on your way home," he said with a smile.

What the hell? Is he a monster? I mean, I already considered him one, but not in this way. Now I'm regretting being involved with him. He didn't even say that he's into a guy. Damn,

damn, damn, what should I do? I'm panicking inside.

"Come, are you ready now? Follow me," he says.

I followed him with trembling legs.

"Are you okay? You look pale," he asked.

"Oh, I-I'm completely fine. I just didn't expect that you're into t-this kind of stuff. I-I mean, you could just ask s-someone else, you know," I managed to say.

"Is that so? I mean, I've already done it with 3 people, 2 guys and 1 girl. It's fun; I really enjoy it," he said with a kind smile.

"S-so, what happened to them? And where are they right now?" I asked nervously.

"Oh, them? I don't know, maybe they've already started a family or something," he said nonchalantly.

After he said that, my mind went blank. I regained myself, filled with fear, after seeing a door with metal reinforcements. So, this is the place where my life ends, I thought, imagining a hundred different scenarios. He opens the door, and I see a large room filled with some of the latest training technology, similar to what I've seen on the school training grounds. My jaw drops. So, this is why the 4-star dorms are expensive.

"Pretty good place to train, right?" he asked with a smile.

What the hell? What was I thinking all this time? It was all just my imagination. Damn, why did I jump to those conclusions? I thought it was just an apartment dorm room. I didn't know it had a freaking training room. After calming down, I remember that he already trained 3 students, and he said that they've likely moved on with their lives. Interrupting my thoughts, Crius's voice brings me back to reality.

"Let's get started," he says as he throws me a sword. "I'll just lend you some clothes after this. First, attack me and show me everything you got," he said with a smirk.

**Crius Raven's POV**

In the training room, filled with various kinds of technology for training, there are two teenagers. One is attacking, and the other guy is just dodging all the attacks with just side steps and ducking, without breaking a sweat. After an hour has passed, Ferdi is laying on the floor, out of breath.

He still doesn't know how to use nullification, huh? I mean, I still need to teach him, but first, he needs to cleanse the impurities inside his body. Imagining a bottle of potion inside my subspace, I take it out and call to him. After he looks at me, I throw the potion at him, and he catches it.

"What is this?" Ferdi asked.

"Just drink it. It will help you," I assure him.

"Right now? Is this safe?" he questions.

"Yeah, just drink it. After that, sit in a lotus position. We're going to remove the impurities inside your body," I explain.

After he drinks it, he does as I say, and I sit behind him to assist. An hour passes, and his clean clothes are now full of smelly impurity substances.

"Oh, it stinks, ah!" Ferdi exclaims, frowning and holding his nose.

"It's your own smell, the impurities from inside your body," I explain, pointing at him. He looks at himself with a surprised face.

"What? This was really inside my body?" He exclaims.

"Yes. Now go take a bath. I'll lend you some clothes. After that, we'll go back to your training," I instruct.

He nods and walks towards the shower room.

After that, we start training him again, explaining nullification in detail. I make it clear that if he doesn't manifest his nullification power in the next 2 months, I will never train him again.

After 2 weeks, I finally buy a house for my family. At first, my mom questions me multiple times, but after explaining that she doesn't need to work anymore and that I'll send them money, I mention that I got a good position through part-time work at my classmate's guild. At the same time, Ferdinand starts to manifest his nullification ability, and I continue to train him diligently.

2 months have passed. Ferdinand can now control a small amount of his ability, and tomorrow, the dungeon camping will start.
