Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Back
- Little Whinging, 4 Privet Drive ~ 8. July 1995 ~ In the smallest Bedroom of the House -
In the middle of the night, you could see a small light emitting from the bedroom on the second floor of the house when suddenly, a door appeared out of nowhere.
The door itself opened, and two people walked out of it.
When Harry was out of the door, he instantly stopped in his steps and looked sadly at the small bed and half-broken nightstand in this room. Now that he thought about it, he lost his glasses somewhere in the other world while training.
He hadn't paid attention to it until now, but his vision was pretty much fixed.
He could see everything clearly even though he didn't wear any glasses. "Why exactly is that?" Harry asked himself.
Still standing there in a trance, Harry didn't notice that one more person had come through the door with him.
She also looked around the room with some curiosity but didn't see anything particularly bad since she had slept in cabins of different ships her whole life, and they were some that were even more shitty than this room.
"So that is your home?" Nami asked him with some worry in her voice since she saw his look when he had to return here. 'He looked like myself when I had to return to Arlong. This sadness.'
The moment Nami said something, Harry suddenly jumped up and screamed out, being scared by Nami.
"Whaaa. Why did you follow me through the portal?" Harry asked her with some shame.
He didn't want Nami to know the pathetic him in this world.
'Heck. After that one year of training, I don't like my old self myself.'
Before Nami could question him more, she could hear a loud scream sounding through the house.
"What are you doing up there, you FREAK! Don't scream through the house! If I hear you one more time this day, I won't give you food for another week!" Screamed Vernon from downstairs the house.
"That was?" Nami asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"My Uncle, one disgusting fat man that I had the displeasure to grow up with. My parents died after a psychopath killed them when I was still one year old, and since then, some stupid, senile old man put me into this house with my only living relatives, my aunt and uncle." Harry said to her.
"Well, whatever. You should really go back. There is only one bed in this room, and the fact is that the door there is also closed, and even if I destroy it, I am sure there will be over 20 different people who will come running to defend this fat fuck and his family. They say there are my 'guards,' but there are more like my jailers. Now that I am more powerful, I could probably leave them all behind, but I still have to do something in this world, and being hunted down by one whole country wouldn't help me in that. That is also why I must stay here for the moment, but I am sure this old man who imprisoned me here will come here some days after my birthday like a hero rescuing me from this house. After that, I have a bit more freedom. But how I know that old man, I guess the freedom won't be much more, but at least I won't be here."
Nami looked at him with shocked eyes, but he didn't care that much and just opened the door to the one-piece world.
She looked at it but decided to stay, seeing Harry being so down.
Who told her to take a liking to this pitiful boy?
"No, I will stay. We can just both sleep in that bed together. Of course, that is an exclusive Service I won't offer anyone else. Only 10 Million Belly." Nami said with a smile.
"No, that's okay. I will just sleep on the floor!" Harry stated while his face flushed red, and this time Nami saw it. 'So that was what Nojiko teased me about, hehe.'
Knowing that Harry would never accept her offer, she accepted the bed.
Since it was already night, both of them started to go to their own place to sleep. They didn't care to change clothes and just lay down.
'That bed…. The floor would be more comfortable, wouldn't it? There are even some bed springs that come through the mattress. It also stinks! How can he sleep here every night? Hearing his story and combined with the current situation he is in, his life shouldn't have been the best. Should I talk to him about it? No, let's wait for when he opens up.' Deciding on her action, Nami tried to sleep, but sleep wouldn't come to her.
Looking down at Harry, she could already see that he was fast asleep.
Thinking about it momentarily, she decided to do something that she had never done in her life.
Standing up and walking to Harry on the floor, she slowly slid down to the floor beside him and, with one last push, put her arm around him.
'Why do I feel so safe and happy beside him? It only took three days to build such a connection with that boy. Is that normal? I heard that young adults and teenagers fall in love quickly, but I never really had time for things like that in the past. I know it still isn't love and more like a liking, but isn't that too fast? When I think about how Harry would leave someday randomly, it makes me extremely sad, and that was also one more of the reasons why I jumped after him through the portal.' Thinking about many more things, she didn't realize that, while still thinking, she fell asleep.
- The following day -
Harry woke up with a pleasing and warm feeling. After an additional minute of that feeling, he finally realized that a slender, beautiful arm was around him, holding him into two mounts that he could feel on his back.
Of course, Harry instantly realized what was holding him, but he didn't care anymore when he thought a bit more about it.
His accelerating heartbeat that had just shot into the high also calmed down again.
Trying to turn around without waking her up, Harry started to look at her face while she was asleep. 'She is really gorgeous.' Harry thought to himself.
After only one more minute, probably woken by his movements, she suddenly opened her eyes and was startled when beautiful green eyes looked back at her.
"Say Nami." Harry started.
"Yes, Harry?" Nami answered calmly, loosing herself into his beautiful eyes.
"Whe..n we arrive at the next isla...nd do you maybe want to go on a d...date with me?" Harry asked with some stutter in his voice.
"Okay." She answered simply with a growing smile on her face.
"BOY, it's time to clean your toilet! I will open the locks for 1 hour, and after that, you will go into your room again without saying anything!" Were the next words the both of them heard, to Harry's annoyance.
"Hehe." Nami laughed silently so she wouldn't be heard.
It's good that Vernon didn't want anything to do with him, so in the hour he was unlocked, nobody was looking into his room.
Harry hasn't used the bucket even once since he was in the One Piece world, so he didn't really need to clean it, but to keep up the illusion, he turned on the water, etc.
The moment he returned and they were locked up again, Nami and Harry started to talk about their lives.
Harry told her everything, and even she felt many things in his life weren't adding up.
She also didn't know why, but in the end, the reason couldn't be that good, and they should be careful in the future.
She was sure that at the end of the day, the whole Straw Hat Crew would stand behind Harry and help him with anything he needed.
Nami also told him about her adventures on the sea and how many people she scammed and robbed over the years.
She was really proud that she never robbed an innocent.
Neither of them had a good life until then, but at least they could find a small laugh in each other's life at some point.
"So. Mister Potter. Where is the next Gacha that you told me so much about?" Nami asked, interested.
She herself still had 100.000.000 Belly that she could use.
She was greedy for money, but that didn't mean she wouldn't trade money against power since she knew that with more power, she could get more money!
It's more like an investment.
"Let's see," Harry said while looking at his System before exclaiming the new spot that was set in surprise.
"London?!?"
