Chapter 9: chapter 9

"ugh," Percy said as he arose from his slumber.

Percy had a massive headache from the previous dream, something about getting crushed again always caused Percy to be exhausted.

With Grover not here, Percy easily conjured up a flame and warmed the cup he was holding, and afterwards added some tea.

"Man this is some good tea," Percy said.

Percy put on his clothes, brushed his hair, and then his teeth. In the bathroom, Percy looked at himself in the mirror and sighed.

In Percy's eyes, he would always be a murderer. A murderer with blood caked to his hair and clothes.

"You got this Percy... It's just school," Percy said before combing his hair.

"Yeah... You got this," he said one last time before going to his class.

Percy entered the hallway and sighed, there was already a fighting going on in the hallway, so as Percy passed, he not so subtly kicked one of them in the head.

With that, he entered the class and took his seat. Percy sighed as he looked at the storm outside.

'I wish it could go away,' Percy thought as he turned his attention to his diary of sorts.

Meanwhile, the clouds around Manhattan began dispersing leaving it sunny.

In Percy's diary, he drew Gascoigne and began thinking about his fight. It was one thing to fight by instinct, but another to grow and learn from previous battles.

Percy took a sip of his tea and sighed. Looking back on it, he could have outmaneuvered Gascoigne pretty easily.

Use the stairs as an advantage, then parry him and punish him. Percy also needed to think about if his weapon got stuck in another opponent.

So many variables.

"Drinks are not allowed in my class Mr Jackson," the teacher said as Percy was about to take another sip of his tea.

Percy's eyes met the teachers, and very slowly, but loudly took a sip of the tea. While it may not be as good as Luna's, it was still good.

"I don't care. Now, leave me to my thoughts old man," Percy said as his eyes narrowed.

"Principals office," the teacher said fed up with Percy's antics.

"Yeah yeah." Percy rolled his eyes as he took another sip of his tea.

Percy threw on his backpack and went to the office. He sat on a chair and took out his diary again.

[Diary entry 8

Img Gascoigne (regular form)

He has a variety of attacks, ranging from a slam, a spin, or shooting. Best to avoid trying to attack unless he finishes his combination of attacks.

Healing... Normal. Able to heal minor wounds almost immediately, major wounds take longer.

Slash ankles to hinder his movements to a minor degree. Daggers are best for this as opposed to other weaponry.

*Sip of tea*

His attacks go for killing blows, not to capture, BEWARE, he is a bloodthirsty monster at this point. If you fight him, fight to kill.

So be prepared to do the same. Do not, however, play his music box more than three times, as it turns him into a beast.

Upon defeating him you unlock the cathedral ward, Eileen has not yet taken me there. However, I know that this will be only the start of my journey.

My goal? Transcend the hunt. If it means finally ending the hunt, any risk is worth it. Now the only way is to figure out how... But something tells me I'm still not even close to figuring out the true depths of yharnums curse.

Day end 6]

Percy sighed as he closed his diary. Hopefully, if someone was in his position they would find this book one day, and hopefully, it'll help them.

"You can come in now Mr Jackson," the principal said.

Percy got up from his chair and entered the principal's office.

"Alright, let's cut the chit-chat. I know how this works. You kept me waiting outside so I could think about my actions. Just give me my punishment and skip the talk," Percy said.

He was already done with school to the point he would rather be in yharnam.

*Sip of tea*

"You are serving detention for the rest of the semester, Mr Jackson," the principal said.

"For drinking tea, seriously?" Percy raised an eyebrow.

"And for talking back to a teacher don't forget that," the principal nodded.

"Yeah yeah," Percy said as he left without another word.

Percy went off of the school campus bought a plant pot, and began planting the tea that he was given.

As Percy drank his tea, he gazed at the sunny sky. Earlier it was raining, and thankfully now that it's clear, his mood seemed calmer.

Mmm, perhaps his nerves were tied to the weather? That would be something if it was true.

Mmm, so much to do so little time.

"Man, I love tea."

...

Something ached her. Sally was on her break, but deep down she felt something wrong.

'did Percy blow up another school?'

No, unlikely. As much as she wouldn't care to admit, she knew Percy wouldn't be capable of that... Yet?

She bit her bottom lip in worry, her Percy senses were definitely kicking in so he had to do something.

"Something wrong Sally?" One of her coworkers asked.

"Nothing.. just have a bad feeling," Sally responded as she handed another customer the candy he bought.

"What, did your son blow up a school again?" The CO worker chuckled.

Sally's eyes drifted to the sky, it was raining and stormy just this morning. But now it was sunny. Gone in a matter of minutes. The mortals didn't notice it, but she did.

What confirmed her thoughts was when thunder rumbled in the distance on a clear sky. And she only knew one power that could do this...

"Somehow I feel like we have much bigger problems than a school," Sally said.

(End of chapter)

Alright, guys, I'm thinking of having Percy go into the Norse pantheon first. I know one has to "die" with a weapon in their hands to get in, but I'm making something different.

I'm going to make him a Pantheon mercenary. In return for doing the quest, he gets knowledge or something of equivalent value.
