Chapter 14: Chapter 14

The morning sun cast its golden rays into the room, gently illuminating the space as Seok-Woo stirred from slumber. With a languid stretch, he welcomed the new day, feeling the cool breeze whispering through the window.

Throwing back the covers, Seok-Woo swung his legs over the edge of the bed, shaking off the remnants of sleep. Rubbing the drowsiness from his eyes, he gradually shook off the last vestiges of slumber. Dressing himself in nothing but his underwear and shorts, he left his upper body bare, proudly displaying his sculpted physique.

Taking his place at the computer table, Seok-Woo settled into the chair, a sense of purpose etched on his features. With a determined gaze, he contemplated the task at hand, his mind focused on the challenge ahead.

"It's time," he muttered to himself, his voice a quiet affirmation of his resolve. With a decisive thought, he opened the system interface, his mind moving with practiced efficiency as he navigated to his destination: the Gachapon machine.

As the interface came to the Gachapon machine before him, Seok-Woo's gaze hardened, his eyes fixed on the system with a steely determination. It was time to face his adversary head-on, to seize the opportunity that lay before him and emerge victorious.

"I'm hopeful for some truly good modifiers," he pondered, his anticipation mounting as he readied himself to embark on the prize-rolling endeavor.

With a deep inhalation, he initiated the Gachapon machine's operation, expending all of his accumulated Roll in one determined exhale.

The Gachapon sprang to life, its mechanical components whirring into motion, each turn yielding a single prize ball. He reclined slightly, a mixture of anticipation and patience infusing his demeanor as he awaited the culmination of the process.

With a steadfast gaze, he observed each prize ball emerge from the depths of the machine, their appearances unveiling gradually with each rotation. Time seemed to stretch as he watched, his anticipation building with each passing moment until, at last, the Gachapon's frenetic spinning began to slow.

As the machine came to a halt, he fixed his attention on the array of 55 prize balls displayed before him on the system interface, each one representing a modifier.

Seok-Woo's eyelids fluttered shut, a moment of concentration preceding his whispered command to the universe: "Open." Almost instantly, the prize balls unfurled in unison, revealing their contents with a soft chime of notification.

After a brief pause, he reopened his eyes, eagerly scanning the list of rewards bestowed upon him. Each announcement drew his attention, from the mundane to the extraordinary.

"Congratulations, you've gained 1,000 KRW!"

"Congratulations, you've gained an Apple!"

"Congratulations, you've gained 1,000,000 KRW!"

"Congratulations, you've gained 1,000,000 KRW!"

"Congratulations, you've gained a 9mm Gun!"

As he scanned through the list, he reached the tenth entry and finally encountered a modifier. His curiosity piqued, he continued reading, his brows furrowing in bewilderment as he encountered the diverse array of prizes.

"Congrats, you gained ownership of a Love Hotel!"

"Congrats, you gained ownership of a Share House!"

While the rewards from prizes were great, not all can be said. If there's a high there's also a low.

"Congrats, you gained a Rotten Potato!"

"Congrats, you gained a 1 KRW!"

"Congrats, you gained a Pebble!"

Among the myriad rewards, Seok-Woo found himself the recipient of an eclectic assortment, ranging from practical to whimsical: a collection of condoms in various sizes, an umbrella, lingerie, a toy car, and even a Fleshlight, among others.

As anticipated, monetary rewards flowed abundantly, a common occurrence that left him somewhat indifferent. Unaware of the exact extent of his financial holdings, he hardly bothered to dwell on the surplus, choosing instead to focus on the more intriguing acquisitions.

Efficiently transferring the rewards to his inventory, Seok-Woo embarked on the task of cataloging his newfound modifiers. Navigating through the interface, he accessed his inventory and sorted the items accordingly, revealing a list of modifiers yet to be applied.

"Well, thank goodness they were better than I thought.". Seok-Woo said to himself as he looked at the modifiers he got from the Gachapon machine.

"Licking Skills[+1]."

"Combat Skills[+1]."

"Driving Skills[+1]."

"Stamina[+1]."

"Kissing Skills[+1]."

Seok-Woo surveyed the assortment of modifiers before him, a sigh escaping his lips as he noted the practicality of some items for daily use and the allure of a few designed for more intimate moments. However, he couldn't stifle his surprise at the absence of any familiar modifiers this time around.

"Well, no use dwelling on it," he murmured, a resigned acceptance settling over him. "I suppose I should just be grateful for what I've received." With a shrug, he mentally filed away his hopes for future draws, choosing instead to focus on the present.

Selecting all of his newfound modifiers, he proceeded to apply them with a sense of anticipation. As the modifications took effect, his Applied Modifier list transformed before his eyes, each addition representing a potential enhancement to his adventures yet to come.

"Applied Modifiers:

Acting Skills[+1],

Cooking Skills[+1],

Strength[+2],

Fingering Skills[+1],

PP Length[+1].

Licking Skills[+1].

Combat Skills[+1].

Driving Skills[+1].

Stamina[+1].

Kissing Skills[+1]."

As he applied the modifier, a rush of knowledge flooded his mind, fleeting but vivid, as if he had gained enlightenment. After a moment, the sensation faded, leaving him pondering the newfound information.

Leaning back once more, he navigated to his inventory, eager to explore the newfound acquisitions from the Gachapon machine. His attention was immediately drawn to the entries for the Love Hotel and Share House.

First, he delved into the details of the Love Hotel. Rather than tangible items, all he found was a wealth of information, neatly organized within the interface.

Among the details, he discovered the hotel's name: Private Moments. Intrigued, he delved deeper, noting its location, contact number, and other pertinent information.

With a sense of curiosity piqued, Seok-Woo reached for his phone and dialed the provided number. Placing the device to his ear, he awaited eagerly, anticipation building as he anticipated what lay ahead.

The connection was established, and a courteous voice greeted Seok-Woo from the other end. "Welcome to Private Moments. How may I assist you today?" It was a distinctly masculine voice that echoed through the receiver.

Cutting straight to the chase, Seok-Woo wasted no time. "I have a question for you. Has there been a change in ownership at your establishment?" His inquiry caught the person on the other end off guard, leaving a pause in its wake.

As silence lingered, Seok-Woo pressed on. "I've heard that the new owner goes by the name Seok-Wook. Is that correct?" The shock on the other end was palpable, evident even through the phone lines.

"Who... who are you, sir? And how do you come by this information?" The voice on the other end quivered with uncertainty, clearly rattled by Seok-Woo's revelations.

Sensing the opportunity to confirm the identity of the person he was speaking to, Seok-Woo ventured another question. "Are you the manager of the establishment?" Though the response was hesitant, Seok-Woo proceeded with confidence. "I'm Seok-Woo, your new owner," he declared firmly.

The individual on the other end became skeptical of Seok-Woo's assertion. "Yes, I'm the manager," came the response, "but simply claiming ownership isn't sufficient. I'll need some information from you before I can accept it."

Seok-Woo smiled at the manager's astuteness. He felt reassured knowing that someone discerning was overseeing the management of his establishment.

Seok-Woo replied. "Of course, I understand your hesitation. I'll come by to verify my identity in person. I'll be in touch to arrange a visit." With that, Seok-Woo ended the call, gratified by the magnitude of his newfound ownership.

Contemplating his next move, Seok-Woo mulled over the idea of involving Sung-Hee, considering whether to invite her along for the visit to the Love Hotel and then have some fun again together.

Contemplating the idea, Seok-Woo realized Sung-Hee might decline. Fresh from her first experience, another invitation so soon might give the impression he only seeks physical intimacy. Reluctantly, he discarded the notion.

Instead, he decided to visit the Love Hotel at his convenience. Turning his attention to the Share House acquired from the Gachapon machine, he reviewed its details once more—the location and contact information.

Seok-Woo dialed the number listed for the Share House, only to encounter a different scenario compared to the Love Hotel. Before Seok-Woo became the owner. The previous owner was faced with an offer he couldn't resist. "What's this... Such a hefty sum for a Share House? But its worth of that property isn't significant," he mused silently, pondering the tempting proposition before him. With a resigned exhale, he capitulated, agreeing to transfer the rights and ownership of the Share House.

Given the name of the buyer and his contact details, the man mulled over Seok-Woo's motives. "Seok-Woo... What drove him to acquire that property?" Little did he know, Seok-Woo hadn't spent a dime on it—it was a gift from the Gachapon machine.

"It's just a Share House; there's little to lose," he reasoned with himself. Weighing the pros and cons, he found the benefits of selling to be compelling. With a decisive nod, he finalized the sale, thereby transferring ownership to Seok-Woo.

However, his mind soon turned to the occupants of the Share House. Scratching his head in contemplation, he murmured, "How do I break this news to my daughter?" Realization dawned upon him—he had sold the building while his daughter still resided there. "Should I inform them to vacate now?" Wrestling with conflicting emotions, he grappled with the best course of action.

As he contemplated the delicate matter of informing the current occupants about vacating the premises, his phone interrupted his thoughts with a shrill ring. Without hesitation, he reached for the device, assuming it was his secretary or another familiar caller. However, upon glancing at the incoming call's number, his expression soured. He scrutinized the digits intently, his initial frown gradually giving way to wide-eyed astonishment as he recognized the caller's identity and the buyer's number displayed side by side.

"It's the buyer," he surmised silently, gathering his composure before answering the call. With a deliberate inhale, he greeted the caller. "Hello, Mr. Seok-Woo. What can I do for you?"

Meanwhile, on the other end of the line, Seok-Woo himself was taken aback by the recognition. Nevertheless, he swiftly regained his composure, deducing the caller's identity from the context. "Is this the previous owner of the property?" he inquired, seeking confirmation.

The voice of Seok-Woo took the person on the other end by surprise. "He's younger than I expected," he mused, envisioning the new owner as someone more middle-aged. The revelation of Seok-Woo's youthful voice gave him pause.

After a moment to collect his thoughts, he responded, "Yes, I am the previous owner."

Seok-Woo absorbed the information and replied cordially, "I see. It's been a pleasure speaking with you today." Without delay, he delved into the core of the conversation. "Could you please update me on the current status of the Share House? Are there still occupants residing there?"

The person on the other end pondered his response for a few seconds before replying, drawing upon information relayed by his daughter. "Despite its age, the Share House remains in excellent condition. The occupants have maintained it meticulously, both inside and out."

Taking note of the report, Seok-Woo pressed on. "I'll schedule a visit to the Share House at my earliest convenience, to conduct a thorough inspection."

The person on the phone nodded at Seok-Woo's words, then posed a crucial question that had been lingering in his mind. "I'll be waiting for your call," he began, his tone measured. "If I may ask, would you prefer to arrange for the Share House to be vacated before your visit?"

Seok-Woo pondered the suggestion for a moment but swiftly came to a decision. "There's no need to do that just yet. I'll make my decision once I've inspected the Share House personally," he stated confidently.

The person on the other end acquiesced, responding, "If that's your preference, then I'll abide by it. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Mr. Seok-Woo."

"Likewise, see you soon too," Seok-Woo replied before ending the call.

Seok-Woo stretched his arms as soon as the call ended. "Well, that was quite the conversation," he remarked to himself. Then, as he reflected on the two properties he now owned, a smile crept across his face. "A Love Hotel and a Share House, what a fantastic reward," he mused with satisfaction.

After grabbing a t-shirt to wear, he rose from his chair and made his way outside, hoping to find his father back home from work.
