Chapter 14: Four years later

"Huff... Huff..."

Under the shade of a willow tree, the figure of a four-year-old boy could be seen gasping for air as he gazed into the distance.

He had short messy white hair that stuck to his moist skin, clear blue eyes that would look like a mirror if anyone kept gazing into them, and a face that would make women of all ages acknowledge his existence.

The boy took in the fresh air that moved through the field as his eyes gazed at the grasses that extended beyond the horizon.

"Such a nice view." He said having a smile on his face. The boy's eyes held awe as his face showed that he was mesmerized by the scenery before him.

"That's enough rest." The boy said diverting his attention from the view before him. He stood up from where he sat intending to resume his training.

The boy slightly bent his knees before bringing his right hand in front of his body. Closing his eyes, the boy channeled his Mana through his body with intense focus radiating out of every fiber of his being.

Slowly increasing the Mana that flowed through his body, the boy accumulated it in the palm of his right hand.

He then began channeling his Mana outwards as he gradually created a small blue Magic Circle in front of his palm. Having a few drops of sweat streaked across his face, he tried to regulate his breathing.

"Water Sphere." As the Magic Circle in front of his palm became complete, the boy's voice was barely audible as he kept his eyes shut tight.

With his voice traveling through the air, the water molecules around him began gathering towards the Magic Circle's center as they transformed into a ball of water.

Whoosh...

Unhesitatingly releasing the sphere after he couldn't keep its form anymore, the sphere shot through the field and it split the grass that lay in its path.

"Huff..." The boy landed on his butt as his heart thumped loudly in his chest. He was able to see the sphere move and it gladdened his heart that his strength had increased.

"I'm exhausted." The boy said lying on the ground beneath him. His eyes gazed at the cloudy sky above.

— –

[Ding!]

The boy gasped as he saw a transparent blue screen materialize in front of him. He stared at the notification in front of him for a while before opening it.

— –

[Your Mana has been depleted.]

[Your current fatigue is 75%.]

— –

The boy glanced at the notification in front of him for about two seconds before closing the screen.

"Status." The boy said aloud having a smile on his face. He watched as a blue screen slowly materialized in front of him with excitement in his heart.

"It's officially four years since I came here," Adrian muttered looking at the scenery in the distance. His face showed that he was currently lost in thoughts.

In the four years of his existence in this world, Adrian had been able to learn a few things about it some were important while others were plain ass useless but in the end information equals power.

The world's name was Arcania and it had five continents. Adrian was only able to find information about the first one where he lived as it seemed information about the rest where withheld from the public.

The continent where he lived and the only one he knew about was called the Central Continent and it was where most humans lived with few members of other races being found in a few places.

He also learned that the world was not as peaceful as it seemed as there were monsters called Demonic Creatures that appeared in places where negative emotions were too much.

You might have asked how he had gotten that information if most info about the outside world was withheld. The answer is that he had obtained it through shady means that'd be revealed in the future.

"That's enough training for today," Adrian said standing up from where he sat. It was time for serious Adrian —who only appeared when he was training— to vanish into thin air.

Adrian walked towards a rock near him before picking up his lunch. He unwrapped it to reveal a sandwich.

Walking home after unwrapping his sandwich. He enjoyed the delicious taste that threatened to flood his senses.

"Aunt Liz is a really great cook," Adrian said as his eyes became crescents. He soon took another bite out of his sandwich then another until his sandwich was completely in his belly.

Rubbing his belly, Adrian licked his lips in remembrance of the sandwich he had just eaten. His face has satisfaction written all over it.

"Well let's head home then." With his sandwich now becoming a thing of the past, Adrian placed his hands behind his head as he gazed up at the cloudy sky.

While he walked home, Adrian made sure he took slow steps so that he could savor the magnificent view before him.

"Shit." Adrian cursed after remembering that he was covered in filth from head to toe. He was just about to open the door when memories of his lying on the ground flooded his mind.

But that wasn't what scared him, what scared him was Liz seeing him in his current state. The last time that happened was a few months back and what befell him was still vivid in his memories.

"I can't let that happen again." Adrian shivered as his subconscious fear for women in Arcania grew. He slowly walked away from their front door with dread plaguing his heart.

Adrian moved cautiously as he tried not to make Liz aware of his presence. After a long journey, he was finally beside his room's window.

Adrian ran his gaze through the room before quietly entering it after confirming no one was in it. As his feet were planted firmly on the ground, Adrian pulled the white top and jeans he wore in one swift motion.

Knowing that phase one of his mission had just been completed, Adrian quietly walked out of his room —butt naked— and towards the bathroom.

"Where the hell could that boy be?" A feminine voice echoed through the house with anger and worry evident in her tone.

"I'm sorry Aunt Liz, but a man- Cough... I mean a boy got to do what a boy got to do." Adrian muttered peeking at her figure. He was currently squatting with his back plastered on the wall.

"Just a little more," Adrian said looking at Liz before turning his head to look at the path in front of him. His heart thumped in his chest as he tiptoed towards the bathroom.

If Liz had decided to turn behind her, she would have seen a naked Adrian slowly walking towards the bathroom with a weird look that could be described as perverse on his face.

"Sigh..." Successfully entering the bathroom, Adrian heaved a sigh before walking towards the tub.

If anyone asked Adrian who was more ferocious between Women and Dragons he wouldn't need a second to decide because the answer had already been proven since ancient times.

As the warm water caressed every inch of his body, Adrian had a smile as he forgot about his previous troubles when his mind was replaced by ecstasy.

Click...

Slowly turning his head to look behind him, Adrian deeply hoped that the incident a month ago wouldn't repeat itself.
