Chapter 3: I Need To leave This Place
January 28, 1985. Morning
Alexa has been released and now she is brought back home to her parents house.
"Welcome back home lexa" a group of people yelled as the door opens. Some brought cakes, cardboard with inscriptions like "welcome back, we miss you" "we are here for you" "home sweet home".
Alexa enters a well furnitured house not a fancy one though. Most of everything was made out of wood. The beige wallpaper gave the room a sense or warming, some pictures were hanging on the wall.
(Wait is that me?) Alex stared at the broad family picture by the TV, she was so focused on this that she didn't hear Mrs Smitg call her.
"Alexa, Alexa, lexa!"
"What!" She yelled
Everyone was shocked at this sudden action, it rendered Mrs smith speechless.
"Lexa are you okay?" Jason asked
She looked at him with a deadly glare.
(I can't stay here any longer) she thought
"I need to go to my room" she said
"Your room?" Jason asked
"Yes my room!, do you have any problem with that!"
"No i don't, it just that you haven said anything to this people yet. Look they set up decorations for you" Jason replied.
(Why is she acting weird, we all left what are doing to come and welcome her, now she is acting like this?) Alex heard the thought of a woman in blue shirt.
(Everyone is a liar) Alex thought to herself.
Trying to avoid any commotion, she pretended she was okay.
Putting on a fake smile.
"Am sorry everyone for scaring you, i just don't feel okay. Thank you guys for everything, for your support and for this(points to the decorations) but please i would like to be alone"
Everyone was silent.
"Okay Alexa, we understand how you are feeling, we happy to see you again. If you need anything, you can call us" A woman in flower print dress said.
"We too if you need us you can call us, we would be at the fastest reach" a lady said.
"Thank you everyone" Alex replied.
"We will be going now" they all said.
"thanks for coming everyone" Mrs Smith said as she sees them out.
"Alexa are you okay" Jason asked again.
"Take me to my room, please" Alex said.
"Okay if that is what you want. Follow me" Jason said as he went up the stairs.
They stop by a door at the end of a hallway.
"If you need anything i will be down stairs"
"Okay" Alex replied.
After Jason left, it took a while before she opened the door. Entering into a bright room, everything was well arranged. They must have been cleaning the room since the day alexa was arrested. Right there on a study desk beside her bed she saw a picture of her. She walks slowly towards it and picked it.
"Why does she look like me?"

2024 January 28.
"Ma'am, Ma'am are you awake" a maid was knocking on the door.
"Ma'am i will be coming in to serve your breakfast" the maid said as the slowly opened the door.
Alex was lying in the same position as of yesterday. The record player had stopped and the two earpiece had been removed subconciously.
"Ma'am, Ma'am! It's time to go to work" the maid said moving closer as she dropped the food tray on a desk.
"Ma'am please wake up" she said as she slowly tapped Alex.
The lady opened her eyes to see a blurry vision, a young lady was staring and waving at her.
"Ma'am are you awake?" The maid waved
She slowly sat up and a big bang hit her head.
"Ah" she groaned as she held her head.
"Ma'am are you okay?, do you have an headache? Here have some water"she fetched the water from the food tray.
"Thank you" she said with an hoarse voice.
Gulping down the water, she was relieved and boom everything became clear. She doesn't know the young lady.
"Who are you?"
Confused "me? Am Bella your maid" the maid replied.
'Bella? Bella, Bella am sorry but i can't recall anyone bearing Bella"
"What ma'am you are joking right, you do not remember me. I always come here every morning to serve you breakfast and wake you up if you are not awake. I arrange your clothes in the wardrobe, change your Bed sheets, change curtains. In short am in care of your bedroom, do you remember now?" Bella queried
"No i do not remember" she looks around and that was when everything became clear. She was not in her house, nor the courtroom.
"Wait! Where am i?" She asked
"In your room" Bella answered
"No i mean where am i, my location, this place" she asked again all worried.
"Hummm ma'am you are in your house, Winfred villa in sun city" Bella replied as she opens the curtain and bright light came through the tempered glass and a good view of the city could be seen"
"My house? Sun city? What is happening? Where is my mom, where is Jason, where is the judge?"
Confused "your mom? Well your mom is fine, Jason? I dont know Jason and what judge are you talking about" Bella replied.
"What is happening, i was in the court and now am here? Is this some kind of joke? Are there any cameras here? Hey if you are hearing me, you can put down the cameras because am not in mood for acting"
"Acting? Ma'am there are no cameras here. Are you sure you are okay. Why are you acting weird?"
"Am acting weird? You are the one who is acting weird. Get me out of here!. somebody help me! They kidnapped me!" She said as she ran towards the door.
She opened it to be shocked by the view.she moved closer to the rails and looked down to see a living room with well furnished couches. She looked up to glass chandeliers clicking together.
"Ma'am please you have to calm down, you are not kidnapped" Bella said as she followed her.
"Leave me alone, i need to leave this place" she said running through the stairs.
"Ma'am please stop running, you may fall" Bella said running after her.
"Leave me alone!" She said as she reached the entrance, she tries to open it but it couldn't budge.
All the maids were all shocked to see what was happening.
She continuously pull the handle but the door wouldn't budge.
"Ma'am pl....please...please stop running"Bella said painting
"So you all kidnapped me, what do you want from me? I don't have any money if it is money you want. Please just let me go. I.....i.....i" everything became hazy and she began to fall.
"Ma'am are you okay" two maids rushed towards her.
"Somebody please call the doctor!" Bella yelled.

The doctor has arrived the IV drip has been set up and she is yet to open her eyes.
"What did you say is wrong with her when she woke up?" Doctor Sam asked Bella
"Hmm, she had an headache at first, i gave her some water, the head ache stopped and she began to ask where she was. She asked who i was, she said she couldn't remember me, i described myself but still couldn't still remember. She asked about her mum, someone called Jason and a judge. I didn't know where that came from and the next thing was she started yelling that she was kidnapped, she ran away from the room, ran through the steps and tried to open the door but i automatically locked the door and there she fainted".
"Hmmmm any other thing?" the doctor asked
"No that's all"
While they were discussing she made a groan and she slowly opens her eyes to see people. The ladies were all dressed in their uniform except for a man in t-shirt with a stethoscope around his neck.
"who are you?" She asked with an hoarse voice.
"Hey you are awake. I am doctor Sam your personal doctor and friend. Remember?" The doctor said.
"No i do not" she looks at Bella "Bella?"
Smiles "you remember me?" Bella asked happily.
"Yeah, you told me your name is Bella earlier, what happened why am i fixed with this?" She points to the water drip
"You fainted earlier while you were shocked" Bella explained
"So you mean am still here?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" the doctor asked.
"Why am i here, i want to go back? i have to win that case" she frowns
"What do you mean? What case?. Alex are you okay?" The doctor asked
"Alex? (laughs) you mean Alexa". She said
"Alexa?" the doctor looks at Bella. The other maids were shocked as well.
"Yes am Alexa why did you call me Alex?"
The doctor was confused so he brought out a torch from his bag and pointed it to her eyes.
"You seem fine, why are you acting weird?. Alex how many fingers are this?" The doctor waves at her
"I am not acting weird take down the torch. I will repeat myself i am Alexa okay. Alexa winfred. Can you take away the torch from my face" Alexa said.
Everyone was shocked
"Alexa!?"
