As the divine presence faded, the boy found himself alone in the vast chamber. With a heavy sigh, he glanced towards the bed where his sister lay peacefully, the rhythm of her breaths lulling her into slumber. "While I was in conversation with the goddess, Mother must have put us to bed and gone to prepare for the ceremony," he mused to himself.
Seizing the opportunity afforded by the solitude, he resolved to hone his skills. "My sister rests soundly, and this quiet moment presents the perfect chance to feel the mana inside me " he thought, determination flickering in his eyes.
