Chapter 7: Come with me

The sound of the cell phone made Sebastian drop the documents he was going through in his room. He checked the caller ID and picked up the call.

"Hello," Sebastian said to the phone, his voice sounding distant and uninterested.

"When would I be meeting her?" The caller asked over the phone.

"Tomorrow," Sebastian replied.

His demeanor changed, and the temperature of the room dropped to zero degrees Celsius.The room gets tense with each passing second.

"I hope you aren't joking this time," the caller asked.

"I'm not" Sebastian reply was short and curt.

"I will be expecting you two," the caller said.

Sebastian hanged up the call and rose stealthily from the couch. His eyes darkened as he tucked his hands into his pocket.

He walked towards the glass wall to look at the beautiful view of the city at night. He ruffled his hair with his hand before deciding to retire to his room. He mind was at rest because this part has been settled and getting a wife issues will be cast aside as from tomorrow.

The room became bright by the sudden light that came through the opened window. Avery twitched her eyes several times before fluttering them open.

"What! I'm just waking up, " she asked.

Her eyes widening like a saucer as she tried to get out of bed. She yawned loudly and stretches her back.

"So it's not a dream," she said, surprising herself as she let out a weird laugh. She was surprised she was able to sleep soundly in an unfamiliar place.

Avery walked towards the standing mirror to check her body. She was still maintaining the body shape her company wanted.

The loud grumbling of her stomach made her realize she hadn't eaten anything since yesterday morning, and now she was dead hungry, like mad.

She decided to put her pride aside and go out to get some food. She brushed her teeth and took her bath. She knew she would be doomed if anyone recognized her outside.

Avery wore blue tight jeans and a big black baggy top. She pulled the nosemask over her nose and took some money from her purse with her cell phone in her hand.

She opened the door and descend the stairs. However, when she got to the last step, she saw the devil waiting for her in the spacious sitting room with his legs crossed.

Maybe he wasn't waiting for her because she could see he was busy with his phone.

He was putting on a white shirt with black trousers. Involuntarily, Avery's heart skipped a beat.The devil look even more handsome in the day.

Maybe this was why the devil was able to seduce Eve in the Garden of Eden. This man look like a character who just came out of a painting. No doubt.

She didn't want to ogle at him more as she shook her head.

"Always remember, he is a devil and nothing more," Avery said in her mind as she braced herself for what was to come.

She has already signed the contract, so the only thing left is their wedding, and that will be all. She will be going back to her modeling career.

Avery swallowed the lump at the back of her throat as she walked elegantly towards him.

"Good morning, " Avery greeted him, not caring to lower the mask covering her nose and mouth.

Sebastian turns to face the woman standing before him. He noticed her presence, but he ignored it because he was busy with his phone.

"Hmm," Sebastian replied as he locked his gaze on Avery.

His reply felt like a blow to Avery.

Right now, she felt like questioning him about why he was ignoring her, but the devil was staring at her like a feast. She knew it's time to do a background check on him.

His dark eyes stared into her soul, as if he knew what she was thinking. Avery schooled her expression when he avert his gaze back at his phone.

"I need to get something outside," Avery said, turning her back towards him as she made her way to the door, but the words he uttered made her freeze in shock.

"Where do you think you are going?" Sebastian asked, his face not giving away any emotion, for Avery to see if he was joking or not.

"I need to get something or am I not allowed to go out?" Avery asked.

Sebastian clicked his tongue as he watched the girl in amusement. He could see she had a sharp tongue, which he found amusing.

It was common for women to act sweet and innocent around him, but Avery wasn't doing any of that. Which is good for him; he doesn't want a weak woman who wouldn't be able to think for herself.

"Didn't you read the contract, or did you just sign it?" Sebastian threw the question at her, hoping to see if she was intelligent or not.

He only wants to taunt her because he was getting bored.

"Of course, I read everything, and it wasn't stated anywhere that I wouldn't be having my freedom of movement," Avery replied in the same tone as she crossed her arms against each other.

She was getting impatient with each second because of the hunger.

"We need to go somewhere. Come with me," Sebastian said, taking the car keys with him and walking past Avery, who was still looking like him, like some zombies she saw in a movie.

"Is he deaf? I was talking to him just now," Avery thought.

"I said, I'm hungry," Avery repeated but Sebastian had already opened the door.

Avery turned abruptly and walked fast towards him before the door got shut.

'I will endure everything; wait till I return everything to you,'

Sebastian tossed the key to one of his men, and Connor took the keys from Sebastian and got into the driver's seat.

Avery sat in the back seat beside Sebastian. She was hoping they would go to the restaurant first because she was hungry as hell.The engine started, and the car left the mansion.

Avery didn't stop gazing at the street as the car sped out of the garage. When the car stopped, Avery couldn't thank her stars more. She got out of the car gingerly, but the name plastered at the highest floor of the building made her curse inwardly.

He didn't bring her to a restaurant.

This guy brought her to a boutique!
