Chapter 64: Wisouth's Challenge

Widing finally left with a sense of triumph.

He came to flaunt, to boast that his lifespan was longer than Abbas's, to boast that his disciple was better than Abbas's.

Abbas remained silent throughout.

After he left, Harry asked, and Abbas smiled slightly, saying, "Let him flaunt if he wants. Besides, I have already won against him. I won my wife's heart, while he got nothing. So even if I only have two or three years left to live, I am still the victor."

"Since I am the victor, why bother competing with him again? Moreover, Widing is not a bad person. On the contrary, he's a bit foolish and naive. He may have come to flaunt, but in reality, he's a bit concerned about my health, hoping to stir up some competitiveness in me and make me live a bit longer."

Harry could only smile now. Indeed, his master was the true victor, and Widing did seem rather dim-witted.

"As for that Wisouth, he is said to be an outstanding disciple of the West Peak, but they specialize in cultivating qi, yet their realm of cultivation is not even as high as yours. What's there to compare? Is he even qualified to compete?" Abbas said with his hands behind his back. Harry couldn't help but smile at that. It was true.

Abbas walked out of Long-Spring Yard, disappearing into the night.

Harry knew where his master was going. He was going to his mother's grave. It wasn't unexpected for his mother to die. Despite her exquisite beauty, her aptitude was extremely poor. Despite the many good medicines his master used to help her, she never broke through to the realm of cultivation and died naturally when her lifespan was up.

Since Harry came to the mountain, his master often visited his mother's grave.

In fact, despite his master's short lifespan, Harry had never seen him truly sad. Perhaps, if his master went to another world, where he could reunite with his mother, he was just worried about leaving Harry behind.

Watching his master's figure disappear into the night, Harry didn't know what was flashing through his mind.

As the night grew deeper, a waning moon climbed up the Western Mountain.

Long-Spring Yard grew quieter and colder.

---

In life, there's bound to be sadness.

But, approach it with optimism.

Live each day happily, that's Harry's motto in life.

Good wine, good food, good mood—what more could one ask for?

Harry was in a restaurant called Dexing Restaurant. Although North Peak prohibits taverns, restaurants are allowed. People need to eat after all. If someone brings their own wine, no one can say anything, right?

But at this moment, someone barged in.

Actually, it wasn't surprising at a time like this.

Using the word "barged" because this person barged in and went straight to where Harry was sitting.

He was a young man in his twenties, fair-skinned and somewhat handsome. He could almost be considered a pretty boy, dressed in white clothes. He approached Harry's table. "Are you Harry? Teacher Abbas's disciple, Harry?"

Harry continued drinking his wine casually, nodding casually. "Yes."

"I'm Wisouth. Widing is my master." The pretty boy said, "This time, I'm here to challenge you. Although it's unfair for me, as a third-generation disciple, to challenge you, a sixth-generation disciple, since our masters are enemies, I can't be blamed."

So this was Wisouth. Among those dining at Dexing Restaurant, most had heard of the old grudge between Abbas and Widing. It was a well-known old grudge. Now that Wisouth had come to find Harry, they were almost ready to cheer. Another fight to watch!

As Caldwell's 500th birthday approached, there were more and more people from North Peak, especially the true disciples. These true disciples were mostly young and vigorous. Given the ideological differences between the Sword Sect, the Qi Sect, and the Sword-Qi Sect, these true disciples often clashed.

The ninth-generation swordsmen, of course, wouldn't intervene.

True disciples need to be trained to grow, and sparring with disciples from other peaks is considered a form of training.

That's why everyone could see the battles between true disciples. Now, it seemed they could watch a battle between the third-generation true disciple of the Qi Sect's West Peak and the sixth-generation true disciple of the Sword-Qi Sect's North Peak.

After Wisouth finished speaking, he waited for Harry's response.

But at this point, Harry didn't even pay attention, continuing to eat and drink on his own.

Enjoying his wine and food, he seemed as carefree as a celestial being.

Wisouth never expected this. After he initiated the challenge, his opponent didn't even pay attention, just kept eating his food and drinking his wine.

Wisouth felt greatly humiliated. Without hesitation, he drew his sword, his Flying Sword, The Green Sword, a deep green longsword, launching his sword moves straight at Harry, "Junior Lu, take this." His sword moves were aimed at Harry in succession.

Harry continued to drink his wine with his right hand, and with a casual movement of his left hand, his sword remained sheathed as he countered, pointing his sword at the flaw in Wisouth's moves. The flaw in Wisouth's sword moves was pointed out, causing him to abandon his attack and reorganize his stance, launching another flurry of attacks at Harry.

Once again, Harry's right hand continued to enjoy his food, and his left hand casually countered, pointing out the flaw in Wisouth's moves. This time, Harry was using chopsticks to pick up tofu.

...

Wisouth reorganized his attacks once more, only to have them countered by Harry's left hand again. At this point, Harry was using his right hand to enjoy tofu.

...

Wisouth realized that no matter how he attacked or organized his moves, they were always countered by Harry's casual strikes, pointing out the flaws in his moves. What's more, Harry had been sitting there the whole time, using only his left hand, with his sword still sheathed, effortlessly disrupting all of Wisouth's attacks.

This...

This...

This...

How was this possible?

Harry, rumored to be lazy and weak, turned out to be someone who could sit there without moving, eating with his right hand, using his left hand with the sword, the sword still sheathed, and yet still disrupt all of his attacks.

Wisouth felt like he was being tragically humiliated. Was the gap really this big? What was even more ridiculous was that they were in Dexing Restaurant, and many people were watching. Many were watching him being toyed with by Harry like a monkey. Wisouth felt his face burning with embarrassment.
