Chapter 1: Chapter 1: How It All Began

Once Upon a time ,that's how most fairy tales start but this isn't a fairy tale. Global warming, a Pandemic and Overpopulation were all actual looming disasters the earth would face but demons and monsters nope, these were just creatures of "fairy tales" and "fiction" nothing more, well build me a castle and call me a prince because this was the most fairy this tale would get, that was corny :|. My name is Hoshi Toreiru, I'm your average high school student, well that would be average if more than half the world weren't monster fighting, extinction stopping people. My dream is to become one of them, highlight the word "DREAM" because to get your adventurer license you have to be really rich to get the chance to attend and graduate a prestigious adventurer academy or be extremely talented to be scouted and sent to one by the Global Adventurer Management Association. Well for me money is definitely off my list as for talent well :}...:| I have none yet, sigh maybe I'll eat some hair or die and get revived with a voice in my head I don't know but I certainly won't give up the mc never gives up if I'm the mc, well sadly my parents are both average. My dad is a retired diver that disappeared 10 yrs ago while my mom is a housewife. Well, enough about me let's talk about how your average pessimistic world became a lot more interesting.
