Chapter 59: Snape's Arrest
September 1994
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
As the aurors stepped forward to arrest Snape, the tension in air was palpable. The whole crowd including the professors and students watched the incident unfolding with anticipation and anxiety.
Dumbledore at this moment took a step forward and stood between the aurors and Snape, ready to stop both the aurors, "Amelia, I demand that you cannot arrest Severus. As the chief Warlock, I instruct you leave Severus and go from here."
Amelia shook her head, with little amusement in her eyes, "No, Dumbledore. Even if you are Chief Warlock, you cannot stop me from arresting Mr. Snape. You can use your position to get Mr. Snape released, but not now. Visit my department tomorrow morning."
Dumbledore gritted his teeth and was about to take his wand out when Amelia added, "Don't do anything foolish, Dumbledore. You may be magically stronger but we are no slouch. But even if you win do you really want to attack DMLE head, chief auror, and two other aurors on their duty?"
Dumbledore calmed himself down and looked towards Harry for few moments, but ultimately sighed and moved away, "This is not what I would have expected from you Harry. You are completely taking the evil path."
He added in an emotional tone, "James and Lily would have been so disappointed in you."
Harry let out a laugh but it was filled with anger, "I don't know what my parents would have felt, headmaster. Afterall, they were killed fighting the master of the same person you are trying to defend, headmaster"
What Harry said came as a shock to majority of the students present here. Dumbledore again regretted not trying to deal with all these in private. He had thought that using this incident he would be able to tarnish Harry's reputation and alienate him from the whole school.
Harry knowing about Snape serving Voldemort was not a surprise for Dumbledore, after all James and Lily must have written it in their diary. But Harry revealing this information to the whole school was a problem.
Ultimately, Dumbledore gave up and did not speak anything for now.
The aurors stepped forward and Kingsley asked, "Mr. Snape, your wand, please?"
With an angry expression, Snape handed his wand to Kingsley who placed it in a plastic bag.
Snape was then handcuffed.
Amelia instructed, "Both of you take Mr. Snape with you and place him in the DMLE cell. Meanwhile I and Tonks will go and visit the four students in the hospital.
"I hope you will be able to go to my office on your own," said Minerva.
Both the aurors nodded and walked away.
Minerva then gestured Amelia to follow her.
Amelia turned to leave, when Harry added from behind, "Miss. Bones, please inform them; They have 24 hours to leave; to get out of my eyesight; If they don't, I will kill them."
Amelia nodded with a grim expression and walked behind Minerva with Tonks following behind.
Harry turned towards the crowd, "I hope the all the nargles, who have bullied, Miss. Lovegood, will stop their actions, and would also return all the things of Miss. Lovegood, which have been stolen."
With this Harry turned around to walk towards Luna, when he stopped in his track.
He further added, "If any of you are wondering why I am doing this for her?"
He continued, "Know one thing, my mother, Lily Potter was Luna's godmother. So, beware of your actions against her."
He arrived near Luna, "Are you following fine, Luna?"
Luna nodded. Harry nodded and took Luna's hand to walk away, when Flitwick interrupted, "Mr. Potter, if you don't mind, I would like Miss. Lovegood to come with me to Ravenclaw House."
Harry frowned when the professor added, "You don't have to worry Mr. Potter. I will personally ensure her safety. There are some things which cannot go as unpunished."
He continued, "Though I am also equally at fault here as something like this happened on a regular basis and I was unaware the whole time. But still justice needs to be met."
After a moment of thought, Harry nodded his head in agreement. From the writings of his parents and his own personal experience Harry knew that the man was a man of honour, so he agreed with him.
After that Flitwick gestured Luna to follow him.
Luna looked at Harry and said, "Bye, Harry Potter."
Harry smiled at Luna's unique temperament, "Bye Luna."
With this Luna walked behind Flitwick.
Meanwhile Dumbledore and other professors have also left and students were also walking back to their dorm but most of the Gryffindors stood there.
Some had fear in their eyes, some were nervous while some were glaring at him intensely.
Harry could stop the fear and nervousness but he wondered that if these idiots are really idiots. Don't they think that what he could do them?
He was about to turn and walk away when Hermione ran past the crowd and arrived near him, "Harry, what were you doing?"
Harry looked at the girl in confusion, "Didn't you saw all what happened?"
Hermione shouted in anxiousness, "I saw, but you explain me. How can you do so much cruelty against someone?"
Harry was about to refuse but a glare from Hermione shut him up. Inwardly he knew, that Hermione would have been extremely uncomfortable witnessing the scene but she at least still wanted to hear her side of the story before making a conclusion about him.
He sighed, "Fine, follow behind me then."
