After Sasuke finished speaking to Naruto, Jugram also appeared behind Sasuke, standing beside the injured Iruka.
Mizuki was not particularly afraid in the presence of Sasuke, as Sasuke had recently graduated and become a Genin. On the other hand, Mizuki was an Elite Chunin who had completed numerous missions. He didn't feel threatened by a newly graduated kid. However, when he saw Jugram, Mizuki realized he was outmatched. Jugram had defeated Asuma, a well-established Jonin, whereas Mizuki was just a Chunin.
Without hesitation, Mizuki decided to leave the place immediately. However, before he could retreat, Sasuke moved in his direction and attacked him.
Mizuki showed disdain toward Sasuke's attack and said, "Hmph! Do you think you can fight me? If you really want to die so much, then I will fulfill your wish."
Sasuke's speed surpassed Mizuki's; he was even faster. The reason for Sasuke's speed was twofold: firstly, Sasuke was already very fast before joining the 'Sternritter,' and secondly, after joining them, Jugram taught him 'Hirenkyaku.' Although Sasuke had only superficially learned it, his speed had increased significantly.
Sasuke attacked Mizuki with his sword, and in response to Sasuke's attack, Mizuki defended himself with his giant shuriken.
Flames began to flicker in Sasuke's hand as he tightly grasped the sword, and gradually, they spread from his palm, using the sword as a conduit, culminating in a fiery assault on Mizuki. Just as the fiery onslaught was about to engulf Mizuki, he swiftly abandoned the giant shuriken and hastily retreated backward, narrowly evading the flames.
Mizuki was overcome with shock at the sight of flames manifesting on Sasuke's sword. If Sasuke possessed the ability to control 'Fire Release,' then this indicated that his strength was, at the very least, on par with Mizuki's, if not surpassing it.
Glancing at Sasuke's youthful countenance, which belied his formidable prowess, Mizuki couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy towards the younger ninja. Despite being almost half his age, Sasuke's displayed strength clearly outmatched his own.
Advancing confidently towards Mizuki, Sasuke maintained his grip on the sword enveloped in flames, his voice carrying an authoritative tone as he addressed Mizuki, "Surrender obediently; you are no match for me."
After hearing Sasuke's words, Mizuki covered his face and began to laugh loudly. He exclaimed, "HAHA, You geniuses always look down on people like us, don't you? Although I'm not a genius, I'll definitely make you pay a heavy price." As Mizuki spoke, there was a clear look of madness on his face.
In response, Sasuke merely gave a mocking smile, clearly despising Mizuki's behavior. He found Mizuki's actions childish.
With madness evident on his face, Mizuki reached into his pocket and retrieved a bottle from his pack. The transparent bottle revealed some kind of potion.
Approaching Mizuki, Sasuke said, "If you won't surrender quietly, then I'll make you surrender." Sasuke was already close to Mizuki, ready to swing his sword, but before he could do so, Mizuki drank the potion, releasing a large influx of chakra from his body, forcing Sasuke to back away.
Mizuki's body underwent a startling transformation as he grew bulkier, and ominous black stripes began to materialize across his skin.
Kakashi, concealed nearby, observed the metamorphosis, his pupils contracting in apprehension. He murmured, "Orochimaru's power!" before swiftly leaping out of his hiding spot to join Sasuke and Naruto, his movements decisive.
Intent on taking immediate action to neutralize Mizuki, Kakashi was poised to intervene when Jugram suddenly materialized behind him. Placing a calming hand on Kakashi's shoulder, Jugram intervened, advising, "Allow Sasuke to engage in the battle without interference. This confrontation will serve to hone his skills."
Kakashi turned around, taken aback by the sudden appearance of Jugram. His astonishment stemmed from Jugram's astonishing speed; it had been so swift that Kakashi hadn't even noticed when Jugram materialized behind him and placed a reassuring hand on Kakashi's shoulder. Despite being preoccupied with Mizuki, Kakashi couldn't help but acknowledge that in a potential confrontation, Jugram would undoubtedly prove to be an immensely formidable opponent.
Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, Kakashi hesitated before addressing Jugram, "Are you absolutely certain? Considering the source of that power is Orochimaru, Sasuke might find himself in grave peril."
"He may indeed face challenges, but he will undoubtedly glean invaluable insights from this encounter. Rest assured, as long as I'm present, Sasuke will remain safeguarded," Jugram replied with unwavering confidence.
Kakashi found himself in a position where he could do nothing but wait, recognizing the seriousness etched into Jugram's expression. It was abundantly clear that Jugram wasn't jesting, and Kakashi knew that any attempt to intervene would likely be met with resistance, as Jugram seemed determined to prevent him from taking any action.
As Mizuki completed his transformation, he wasted no time in advancing towards Sasuke. With a swift movement, he delivered a forceful punch directly to Sasuke's face. Reacting instinctively, Sasuke raised his sword in defense, but it became apparent that Mizuki's physical prowess had undergone a significant augmentation following the activation of his 'Animal Seal.' This newfound strength compelled Sasuke to retreat, his movements marked by a sense of urgency.
