Chapter 102: 102. Prophecy

After hearing Queenie's words, Aurelius was left speechless. However, this reaction was expected. Grindelwald was desperately searching for Credence, so it was inevitable that Credence's name would come to the attention of the Ministry of Magic, who saw Grindelwald as a major problem. All parties involved would naturally investigate Credence, as it would not be difficult to find him. Aurelius' true identity as Credence was no secret either. He had a long history as Credence, having survived a shipwreck, been adopted by servants, and raised in Second Salem.

The key witness in this situation was Irma Dugard, a low-level half-blood elf who was a servant in the Lestrange family. The Ministry easily convinced her to talk, and from her perspective, Credence appeared to be a descendent of the Lestrange family. This misinformation led many people to believe that Aurelius Dumbledore was actually Credence. However, only a few individuals knew the truth, such as Newt, who learned about it from Dumbledore himself, and Tina, who had seen Credence. Grindelwald was also aware of Aurelius' true identity, thanks to the clues provided by the vast Alliance Party and its tendencies.

Interestingly, if Aurelius truly was the youngest son of the Lestrange family, his situation would align perfectly with the prophecy. The French aristocrats in New York, the exile of men, Leta Lestrange burdened with guilt for killing her brother and her daughter in despair, the abandonment and the search for life experience in Paris, all seemed to point to Aurelius as the missing piece. However, the one thing that didn't make sense was why Grindelwald was specifically looking for this child from the Lestrange family.

Queenie interjected with her own thoughts, revealing that Mr. Dumbledore believed Aurelius to be the one mentioned in the prophecy. This idea confused Aurelius, as he had seen parts of the film that somewhat matched the plot but didn't understand why Aberforth was involved.

Queenie proceeded to explain that twenty-eight years ago, Grindelwald, Albus, Aberforth, and Arianna had a conflict. During this conflict, Arianna tragically lost her life, and Grindelwald fled to Europe. Aurelius suddenly had a realization that this was the explanation for Grindelwald's actions. Grindelwald had never returned to England after being responsible for Arianna's death, effectively being brutally exiled. Arianna herself had died in pain as an Obscurial, leaving her daughter in deep despair. Aberforth, who despised Grindelwald, saw himself as a warrior seeking revenge when he returned to his country.

Remember Antonio, the goat-eating beast thrown into the Hudson River by Grindelwald? The goat-eating beast had wings.

"What a fuss!" Aurelius couldn't help but laugh.

Aurelius never cared about prophecies, not because he didn't believe in them, but because in Harry Potter's worldview, all prophecies would inevitably come true. What intrigued him was the multitude of interpretations for the few words in each prophecy.

Even more intriguing was the fact that many who believed they had unraveled the prophecy's mystery unintentionally contributed to its fulfillment.

For instance, Aurelius was aware of at least four different versions of the Dodonus prophecy.

Yusuf Kama, the Black Son of Revenge, adhered to the version of the grudge between the Lestrange family and the Kama family, which was initially portrayed in the movie until Leta unveiled the secret of Corvus Lestrange. This version prophesied death before she perished in a shipwreck.

Aberforth Believed the version centered around the complex relationship between Grindelwald and Dumbledore.

The version involving Credence's search for his family was the interpretation of the prophecy that Queenie shared with Aurelius.

Lastly, the version depicting 'Aurelius' vengeance' was based on speculations from online users in previous lives. These speculators believed that the revenge warrior referred to Credence attacking Dumbledore due to resentment towards the Dumbledore family for abandoning him, and subsequently returning home. As Dumbledore was a member of the Phoenix family, it made sense for Credence to be called 'little phoenix'. The fact that Credence survived the shipwreck made him a perfect fit for the final line: 'spread his wings and fly from the water'.

All of these interpretations seemed plausible.

Aurelius could come up with dozens of interpretations like these.

However, with Aurelius traveling through time, the plot of this world had changed so drastically that the original prophecy interpretations could no longer come true.

So, what else is there?

Aurelius could conceive more prophetic interpretations that align with this altered world.

For example, as a time traveler, Aurelius could be exiled to another world and be unable to decipher the secret of the blood curse, only to witness Nagini lose all traces of humanity in despair. During their confrontation, the Siren's tamed Leviathan, known as Nagini's Siren, would emerge from the water and devour Grindelwald.

Doesn't seem wrong, does it?

Well, perhaps just a little.

Let's instead turn to a beloved savior prophecy that we all long to hear.

Grindelwald and his group were expelled from the Ministry of Magic because he manipulated the election to achieve his evil intentions of driving Qilin and became known as the "cruel exile of the man".

The newly elected president of the International Confederation of Wizards, Viccia Santos, is determined to eliminate Grindelwald and his henchmen, who are terrorists planning to incite a war between Muggles and wizards. However, the significant difference in power makes Santos a "desperate" person, with his daughter being his only hope.

As the only wizard in the world who could rival Grindelwald, Dumbledore broke free from the constraints of the Blood Alliance. He took charge and led the wizards in a battle against Grindelwald. In the end, he defeated Grindelwald in the Duel of the Century in 1945 and imprisoned him in Nurmengard. The successful act of "revenge" allowed Dumbledore to live in seclusion at Hogwarts, completing the legend of the "Return of the Brave Soldier".

But how can two evenly matched individuals discuss their superiority? The last sentence serves as the ultimate weapon to determine the winner.

The phoenix Aurelius, who survived a shipwreck, becomes the key in the battle between Grindelwald and Dumbledore.

Whoever can defeat Aurelius will emerge victorious!
