Blood splattered.

Stunned, Li Chen slowly lowered his head to the blood lance protruding out of his chest. 

It was a direct hit to his heart!

Two more lances formed from blood pierced through him from behind. They protruded out of his body, causing him to stagger forward.

Crimson quickly dyed his robes as his sword fell from his hand.

'It... really happened!' 

Li Chen couldn't believe it.

His plight, however, was another's pleasure. The great bull daemon grabbed his head and flung him against a building.

BOOM—!

Li Chen slammed against the building and fell to his knees. 'That blood…!' 

Li Chen's vision wavered and his efforts to get hold of his body were futile. From the very second the first blood lance pierced through him, he knew whoever did it had poisoned him.
