Chapter 3: Chapter .3 The Talk
The next day when I woke up, I felt a tug on my leg, so I slowly lifted the blanket and saw the twins sleeping there. After seeing their sleeping faces, I gently covered them with a blanket so they wouldn't get cold from the wind, and I just couldn't bring myself to wake them up.
Their faces were so pure, like angels, as if they were in the safest place in the world. At that moment, I realized something...' OH MY GOD, I'M AN EMPATH'. I'm easily influenced by others' emotions.
First at the hospital with Doctor Uzume and Aunt Ayame, then the twins, and lastly Uncle Isamu. I need to learn more about how not to be influenced by others' emotional states but to sense their true feelings. If I think about it, I guess I was always an empath because of how good I was with kids in my past life as well.
How come I didn't notice until now... hmm, I may have an idea. This is the best guess I can make: my senses have been heightened, well, my soul power just doubled so it is natural. Well, one more thing to train, I suppose.
Now to the twins, since when have they been sleeping here in my bed? I know that I have a double bed so there is plenty of room to sleep. Oh, who cares, I just let them sleep. They are kids; let them have their good times.
I got up from the bed slowly so as not to wake up the kids and went to the washroom. After doing my daily morning routine, I put on my black sleeveless shirt with dark pants. My hair is styled similar to Sasuke's, with two small tufts of hair coming down close to the eyes on both sides, but unlike him having a duck's ass at the back, I have it short so they're spread out. I think I'll keep this style; it looks good on me.
Now to the most crucial part: my face. I still have some baby fat, but my eyebrows need to be trimmed. I don't want to have the same old moniker of "Bushy Brows," which is not cool at all. I mean, really, who is going to take me seriously with such thick brows and round eyes?
So yeah, I need to trim my thick eyebrows so my eyes can look normal too. I will try to find a permanent solution later, but this will do for now. After fixing my face and clothes, I went to find Aunt Ayame, and she was doing some laundry.
After she became pregnant with twins, they hired two extra guys at the restaurant so it could run smoothly. Aunt Ayame was a hard-working woman. After her, they needed to hire two people as well; they decided to expand their business, so they could support the extra expense.
She still is the backbone of the restaurant, even though she is mostly at home. Everything that goes on in the restaurant goes through her; her ideas have always been valued.
After getting ready to leave, I told her that the twins were still sleeping. I didn't want to wake them up, so I let them sleep. Saying that, I made my way to the restaurant, and it was already 10 a.m. I slept like a log; to be honest, I was feeling really tired yesterday. I guess my body was still adjusting to the changes.
I'm feeling a lot better today, so let's be done with these distractions, so I can finally focus only on more important things, like how am I going to train or what kind of skill set I want to work with. There is so much to plan and so little time to do it.
On my way to the restaurant, I finally saw Konoha for the first time, not as 2D drawings but as a real-life street and its people. The streets were bustling with people, there were so many shops of all different kinds, and there were toy stores, clothing shops, some general stores, and I saw some restaurants as well. Then my eyes suddenly stopped at a shop that was selling ninja tools; this was completely new to me.
While I was staring at the weapon shop, I heard a voice calling to me. It was my Uncle Isamu; I waved my hand at him too. Ah, so the restaurant I saw was ours. Anyway, I went in, and it was bigger than I expected. The name of the restaurant was "Ayame Restaurant"; it was named after my aunt. I kind of smiled at that.
"Oh, so you're finally here. You needed your beauty sleep, huh?" I just chuckled at that. "I bet you're hungry; have breakfast. After that, you can go to the kitchen and do some experiments, and let's see what comes of it." I just nodded and went to the table, got my order, and had a hearty meal.
Alrighty, it's time to get to work. So I went to the kitchen where I met the other two workers. To my surprise, they were from the Akimichi clan: Akio-san and the other one who brought me my breakfast order was Kaito-san. Now I know why Uncle is on really good terms with them, but it can be the other way around as well. That is because he is on good terms with them, so they decide to work here. Well, I have no problems with that; this brings us close to the Akimichi clan, and them being here provides extra security.
I introduced myself to them and got to work. By the end of the day, I was able to make 10 different kinds of pizzas. Akio-san and Kaito-san received them very well; they loved them, so it was a success.
The next two days went on like this. I made 35 kinds of pizza. So from now on, it will be served in this restaurant for the next month; after that, Uncle will make a deal with the Akimichi's.
So I went back home with my uncle having dinner with us at home. I could finally focus on my training now that money issues had been solved, and in one month, money would be rolling in. Since I have no expenses whatsoever, it will just pile up.
It is always better to have extra money than not have it. It is not like I have to do anything; I can just now go cook something new and add to my income. Yup, let's do that. Just like that, we are at home; the restaurant is about 1 km away only.
We were all having dinner at home, so my uncle asked me, "So what are your plans now?" So I took a deep breath and started to explain; it was time for 'the talk' again.
