Chapter 12: Chapter .12 Master Of Light

This morning, Lee had to skip his training because he anticipated a whirlwind of drama. He was bracing himself for potential backlash and preparing his plans for the fallout from Naruto's adoption.

He anticipated someone visiting Uzumi-san to discuss the adoption. If it was Ambu, he intended to wait. However, if the Hokage arrived, he had some gifts ready. For the moment, he was enjoying studying with the children and Naruto.

Reena and Meena were teaching classes, while Lee was working to enhance his writing skills after making several mistakes in his last book. Despite studying with Ayame, he still struggled with some errors. Meanwhile, Naruto and the children required more comprehensive instruction in reading and writing.

Lee's attention shifted from his books as soon as he caught wind of 'Hokage-sama.' He turned towards the source of the mention and spotted an older man dressed in a long, white coat and a striking red and white hat, accompanied by two masked men. The older man had a stern look on his face, and Lee could sense the power and authority emanating from him.

Lee made the conscious decision to hold off on visiting him immediately, opting instead to wait until Hokage had the opportunity to properly greet Uzami-san and engage in a conversation. It was only after their discussion had concluded that Lee intended to approach him. Patiently, he bided his time for the perfect moment to make his move.

"Lee, could you please bring Naruto to me here?" Uzumi called out from the guest room. Lee paused, considering the request, and then realized it was a much better approach than simply walking in. "Naruto, could you come here for a moment? Someone wants to see you," he called out to his friend.

Naruto looked a bit puzzled at first, but then nodded and said, "Sure, just give me a second." He quickly closed the books and scrolls he had been studying and hurried over to where Lee was waiting for him.

Upon entering the room, Lee's gaze was drawn to the smiling Uzumi-san before noticing the old man with an intriguing hat. He greeted the old man with a polite bow, but before he could say a word, Naruto, who was standing behind him, eagerly asked, "Oh! Jiji, are you here to see me?"

The Hokage was surprised to see Naruto in new clothes, but he greeted him with a warm, grandfatherly smile and said, "I see you've got some new clothes. I'm here to see you, Naruto." Naruto blushed and smiled in return. "I noticed you with some books earlier. Are you studying?"

"Yes," Naruto replied, rubbing the back of his head. "Reena and Meena have been teaching me how to read and write. It's my first time trying, so it's been a bit hard."

The Hokage nodded sympathetically. "Learning to read and write is not an easy task, but I'm glad to see you're making an effort. Education is important, Naruto."

Naruto beamed at the praise from the Hokage and nodded enthusiastically. "I want to learn so I can become stronger and smarter. I want to make everyone proud."

The Hokage's smile grew wider. "I do not doubt that you will, Naruto. You have the potential to achieve great things, and I will do everything I can to support you on your journey." while he thought about Minato.

Naruto's eyes shone with determination as he listened to the Hokage's encouraging words. "Thank you, Jiji. I won't let you down."

With that, the Hokage and Naruto continued their conversation, discussing Naruto's progress and setting goals for his future education and training. The Hokage was impressed by Naruto's determination and willingness to learn, and he knew that with his support, Naruto would go on to achieve amazing things.

As they chatted, Lee calmly sipped his tea, observing their conversation. It seemed that Hokage did indeed care about him. When they finished, Hiruzen turned to Naruto, inquiring, "Is this your new friend?" as he attempted to gauge the boy. However, all he could sense was physical training; there was no chakra presence.

"Hello, my name is Rock Lee. It is nice to meet you finally, Hokage Sama."Lee said politely, addressing the Hokage. "Greetings, young Lee. There's no need to be so formal; just like Naruto, you can call me Grandpa," Hiruzen replied with a smile. He couldn't help but notice how Lee carried himself, his movements indicating that he was preparing for a fight, albeit at a beginner's level.

"Thank you, …Grandpa," Lee said with a bit of hesitation. "I am honoured to be in your presence." Hiruzen chuckled softly and then said, "I must say, I admire your determination and dedication to your training, Lee. It is a rare quality to see in someone so young." Lee's eyes lit up with determination as he replied, "Thank you, Grandpa. I will do whatever it takes to become a great shinobi like you."

Hiruzen smiled and then spoke, "I can see the fire in your eyes, Lee. I believe with your hard work and perseverance, you will achieve great things. Just remember to stay true to yourself and your values." trying to sow the seed of the will of fire, Lee nodded.

"Here's a little something to brighten your day," Lee said, presenting Hiruzen with a beautifully wrapped book. Hiruzen eagerly asked about the contents, to which Lee admitted he wasn't quite sure but it was a popular title. As soon as Hiruzen saw 'Master of Light' written on the cover, his eyes lit up for a moment before the book mysteriously disappeared.

"Thank you, Lee. I look forward to reading it," Hiruzen said, a smile playing on his lips. Meanwhile, Lee was still puzzled, as if the book had simply vanished from his hand. He turned to Uzumi-san for an explanation, only to receive a mischievous giggle in response.

As Lee witnessed the swiftness of Kage's hand movement, his eyes lit up with a newfound understanding of true speed. Despite his eagerness to immediately resume his training, he knew there was an important matter that needed to be addressed first.
