'It feels real' Kai thought while touching his face.
He can feel the feeling of being touched and touching, explaining the reason for his surprise.

Kai was blinded by a blinding light as he covered his eyes and found himself in a completely different place.
Kai looked around as dozens of people were also starting to appear.
Surprise and confusion could be seen on their faces as they started to form a group to socialize.
'Here goes nothing.' Kai thought looking at his surroundings.
"...Menu" Kai muttered as low as he could in fear of someone hearing his attics.
All hopes were not in vain as his chant worked and a blue interface just like earlier appeared in front of him.

'What's this..' Kai thought seeing the number 2 besides inventory.
As a gamer in his past life, Kai knew this meant this was a notification.
Clicking in at the inventory, the blue screen was changed into blue boxes, and at the very top, a normal-looking box and a cross pasted on a forehead can be seen.

Kai's eyebrow rose to see the second item.
'I'm pretty sure this wasn't supposed to be here.' Kai commented as he decided to check the item's description.

As he was about to continue inspecting the menu, he felt a hand grabbing his shoulder waking him from his thoughts.
"Uhm hello brother, can I ask how you do that." A man seemingly in his thirties asked Kai.
"..Pardon?" Kai asked in confusion as he didn't hear what the man said quite well.
"I'm asking how can you do that." The man repeated while pointing at the screen in front of Kai.
Kai looked around and saw everyone looking at the two of them, waiting for his answer.
"Oh, sorry I didn't quite hear you, you just needed to say the word 'Menu'." Kai explained and scratched the back of his head while showing an embarrassed smile.
As soon as Kai pronounces the word Menu, the interface in front of him disappears.
"Ah really?! Thanks a lot, brother." The man kindly thanks as he walks away.
Kai roams his eyes at the surroundings and finds everyone also opened their menu, he slips away unnoticed by everyone except one.
A woman standing not far away from Kai could be seen staring intently at him as he walked away from the crowd slipping between two houses.
The woman followed closely as they walked a few blocks away from the spawning point.
'She's following me' Kai commented as he already noticed the girl following him.
He suddenly ran as the woman was caught off guard but managed to keep up.
'Annoying.' Kai thought as he turned right.
When the woman who chased him also turned right, she was met but nothing but a dead end.
"Why are you following me?" Kai suddenly attacked him from behind, pinning her against the wall.
'Handsome!' Was all the woman could think of as her face reddened.
"W-wait l-let m-me e-explain!" The woman said while raising her two hands as a sign of giving up.
She stutters causing her face to redden more.
"...I give you 5 seconds." Kai coldly said as he let go of the woman but didn't lower his vigilance.
"It's because of your ears!" The woman pointed out.
"!!...what's with them?" surprise could be seen on Kai's face but immediately disappeared as he calmly asked.
"Your race is Elf, right?" The woman asked.
"So..?"
"Elves' race was probably high which is why I'm following you." The woman explained.
"I see, you wanted to recruit me? I'm sorry I don't like working for others." Kai replied and turned as he walked away.
"No no, you are mistaking something, I'm here to ask you to team up with me." The woman ran toward Kai as she stood in front of him.
"My in-game name is Mirage with a 4-star race, Noble Human." The woman introduced herself while extending her right hand for a handshake.
"Judging from your name I presume your magic was ice?" Kai calmly replied as he took the handshake.

Kai didn't accept immediately but looked back and forth at his screen and Mirage.
"sigh..." After a while, Kai sighs and accepts the Friend Request.
[Ding! Player Chrollo (LVL1), Accepted your friend request]
"Come on it's your turn, to introduce yourself," Mirage said.
"aight, my in-game name is Chrollo, a 4-star Elf," Kai lied, not fully trusting the woman as he replied with a lifeless tone.
"What's your magic?" Mirage asked with great enthusiasm
"Copy Magic."
