Sophie grappled with a mix of emotions—was it happiness or hopelessness?

When she failed to locate any professor named Gabriel at the university, hopelessness consumed her entirely.

However, when Peter, the student, informed her about the letter, a peculiar excitement flickered in her thoughts.

Sophie, after hearing what Peter said about the letter, was sure it came from Gabriel.

'But Peter also mentioned that the professor's name wasn't Gabriel, and the letter was discovered inside his book.'

Sophie's mind trembled like an earthquake as she contemplated the implications of it all.

'I'll need to wait until tomorrow when Peter hands the letter to James. Only then will everything become clear. Until then, I shouldn't dwell on it too much.'

Sophie settled into her chair, determined to finish the remaining tasks in the office.
