Chapter 5: CH: 5/Finals
Kaida's POV...
"Can I help you?" I ask the flaming man in front of me. The smirk on this man's face gives me bad vibes, "What do you think of my son, Shoto?"
I think for a second, recalling his fight with Sero, "He's strong, but not as strong as me, or my friends."
The man seems to get angry at my claim, before calming down, "I have a proposition for you." I listen to his offer and feel like drowning him in lava.
I don't, as I would rather not be hunted down by the authorities for killing someone. I 'Politely' decline and continue to the stands.
'I pity whoever I'm going against next. They're about to feel a true dragon's fury.' I sit down and close my eyes, attempting to go to sleep.
---Third POV---
After Bakugo's victory over Uraraka, Izuku and Todoroki fight, with Todoroki winning. the next fight would be a strange one, with Alex fighting against Zara.
"Hey, Zara? Wanna go straight fists?" Alex says as they walk down towards the arena. Zara just chuckles, "Sure, as long as I get to use my powers." Alex laughs, "Deal! As long as I can use mine as well."
The two friends' step onto the field and go to their places on the field. After Midnight gives the go ahead, the two rush each other, fists raised. Alex swings first, with Zara ducking under it and swinging back.
Alex grabs Zara's arm and elbows her in the chest, before throwing her over her shoulder, "Come on Zara, I know you can do better than that!"
Zara quickly stands up with crimson eyes, "You want me to do better? Alright." One of Zara's eyes turn electric blue, before Zara voltaic dashes behind Alex, and punches her in the back.
Alex curses and quickly turns around to attack back, only to find that Zara dashed behind her again, "Damnit!" This continues until Zara's blue eye turns red again, "Damn, I'm out of charge."
Alex finally gets a hit in and launches Zara back a few feet, "Damn Zara, you broke my barrier. Guess I'll have to get serious now." Alex then points her hand towards Zara and forms a half-closed fist.
Zara suddenly freezes up, and with Alex moving her arm up, is flung through the air and out of bounds.
"ZARA MALIN IS OUT OF BOUNDS! ALEXANDRIA SMITH WINS!" Alex walks over to Zara and helps her up, "You put up a good fight." Zara smiles, and they both leave the field.
---Kaida's POV---
I open my eyes to see Alex and Zara leaving the field, 'Damn, I missed the fight.' I stand up and walk down to the field to fight my next opponent.
I reach the field and see the pink haired and pink skinned girl waiting for me. I get into a fighting stance and wait for the match to start.
When it does, I create and metal golem and tell it to incapacitate my opponent. The golem scares Mina as it descends upon her much faster than it looked it should have.
I just float up in the sky and watch the spectacle. After a minute or two of running around, Mina slows down a bit, which is just enough for the golem to catch up.
To ensure my victory, I fly over to her and hit her with some {knock out poison}.
"KAIDA FUJIRYU IS THE WINNER!" I walk off the stage and go back to the stands. After Bakugo defeats his opponent, Alex goes down to the field, her opponent: Todoroki.
The fight begins and Alex has her work cut out for her from the start. She doesn't get a chance to pull out any of her weapons, and eventually gets hit by multiple pieces of ice, soon being encased in it.
She tries to get out, but soon discovers that it is useless to resist. I frown, 'Alex's one weakness... Overwhelming power.'
After the field is cleared, I go down and face my next opponent. Bakugo stands opposite me with a glare on his face.
The match starts and I rush him with the aid of wind magic. I grab him, with him attempting to free himself by letting off multiple explosions in my face. I fly up a little and dive bomb the ground, using him as a cushion to soften my landing.
I then jump off of him and let him get up, before blasting him with a burst of air. He almost falls out of bounds, but uses his explosions to keep himself in.
I then roar while using {Intimidation} to instill terror in my opponent. Surprisingly he only flinches a little from the noise, before charging at me again.
I use {Blinding Flash} to blind him temporarily. I then knock him onto his chest and freeze his hands to the ground.
"Give up." I demand. He turns his head to look at me, "Never!" I sigh and finish the fight by hitting him with {Knockout Breath}.
"BAKUGO KATSUKI HAS BEEN INCAPACITATED! KAIDA FUJIRYU WINS!" I step off of him and go to the waiting room.
After waiting for almost an hour, the final match was about to begin. I stand on my side of the field, glaring at the peppermint haired boy.
"I hope you are ready to face my fury." I proclaim. Todoroki stays silent. The fight begins and I morph my hands into claws and engulf them with fire using a skill.
I rush my opponent, and slash at them. I then use a small amount of blue fire to melt any ice her sent my way after they dodged my attack.
I then launch a small glacier at them, which they dodge. I then summon two metal golems and send them after Todoroki.
The fight drags on, with me starting to win.
Todoroki's left side erupts in flame, melting any ice that had formed on him. I charge him and jump up into the air, forming a giant fireball in my hands.
We clash with his quirk and my magic. After a bit of back and forth, I decide to end the fight and roar, stunning Todoroki and giving me an opening to launch him off the stage.
"SHOTO TODOROKI IS OUT OF BOUNDS! KAIDA FUJIRYU IS THE WINNER!" I breathe out and get off the stage.
A few minutes later, and I am standing proud on a podium, with a cheering crowd and a shiny gold medal around my neck.
After the festival was over, and everyone went home I met up with Zara and Alex, "Sorry Kaida. I didn't get to fight you in the finals..." Alex apologizes. I laugh and accept her apology.
After the break, we were told to pick a pro hero to intern with. I noticed Alex looking at Iida with a suspicious look, before getting up and going to him.
I didn't hear what she asked him, but I did see what her choice for internship was.
"Manual?" I whisper to myself in curiosity.
