Chapter 2: Meeting Her Brother
[Next day]
Hisha woke up and was in an unfamiliar place and started to panicked.
'Little Miss, are you awake?'
The maid didn't get a response and then saw the girl in a corner growling at her.
Hisha saw the door was still open and ran out of the room. This surprised the maid and fell and let out a scream.
Outside she found a garden and felt more at ease.
She looked at what she was wearing and noticed it was something long, she sat down and started to tear at her cloths.
When she was done, her gown was a lot shorter and was more easy to move around in.
She noticed some bushes that didn't look good and she smelled a faint smell of something rotting.
As she was digging she found the cause and inspected the other bushes.
When she was at the last bush she heard somebody yell but didn't pay any mind to it.
Suddenly a young man appeared in front of her and she growled at him.
When he didn't leave she stopped digging and jumped out what scared the man and she fled further in to the garden.
Reports started to come to Aster and Demon about a strange creature roaming the garden.
Aster got some bread and water to lure this creature out.
The gardener came to see what was going on.
He saw the pile of dirt and started to look why it was dug up.
"I don't know what your fussing about, this creature dug up the brushes because of the fungus that is growing on the roots."
"Get some hay from the stables and cover up the roots, but do not put the soil back on it."
Aster found Hisha digging under his favorite tree when the gardener came up to him.
She was already done digging and got in the hole.
"Did you found the creature young Lord Aster?"
"Well she is not a creature."
"Oh?"
"She is a little feral girl I and my father found yesterday."
"I guess the mansion is a bit scary for her right now."
"Hisha, I brought you food, won't you come out?"
"I'm not mad, you can dig if you want."
A pair of red glowing eyes appeared at the entrance of the hole.
"Hisha, I like to thank you for digging at the brushes, thanks to you I could see what's wrong with them and now we can heal them and they will get better soon."
"You are a fast digger and you did a good job to not injuring the roots that are fine."
She saw the bread that Aster was holding and jumped at him and took it and sat on him eating it.
Aster was surprised she sat on his lap eating.
"Here Hisha, drink some water." He held the bowl and she drank it empty.
She got up from his lap and climbed the tree and dropped some apples.
When she was back down she gave Aster and the gardener one.
Aster carefully stroked her head and thanked her.
"Hisha, what happened to your night gown?"
She looked at Aster not understanding.
"Night gown." He pointed at her cloth.
'Long bad, can't move.'
"Oh, but it's for sleeping, after sleeping you wear other cloths."
'Other?'
"Yes, you wear it so you can play."
'Don't know.'
"I show you."
'No!'
"Hisha?"
'Big box bad, small box in big box bad.'
The gardener got the gist of what she meant.
"Young Lord, I think she means the mansion."
"Why not bring her to the stables and show her that, if she likes it and is comfortable she has roof over her head and it is warmer there."
"She has no problem with you and I think if you stick with her when you go inside the mansion she probably will be more at ease."
Aster nodded and thanked him for the advice.
"Hisha do you want to see the horses?"
'What is horses?'
"It's an animal."
'Hi see horses.'
Aster stood up and gave her his hand.
"Hisha feel free to visit the garden anytime, if you spot a problem let the Young Lord know so we can work together on fixing it."
She waved at the man.
Hisha and Aster arrived at the stables and she looked with big eyes at the horses.
'Big…'
"You want to see them up close and give them a carrot?"
She hesitated a little but Aster was patiently waiting for her.
She grabbed Aster's leg and he picked her up.
He held her tight and slowly walked up to his horse.
She looked around at all the horses but one of the horses neigh and this feigned her.
"It's alright Hisha, they are only saying hello."
"Hisha this is my horse Ash."
Ash came up to him and put his head down and he started to stroke his head.
"Ash be calm, Hisha is a bit afraid."
The horse was calm and Aster gave him a carrot.
Hisha looked at the horse and slowly stretched out her hand. Ash moved his head under her hand and she started to stroke his head
Aster took another carrot and gave it to her.
She held the carrot in front of Ash and he slowly took small bites.
Hisha felt more comfortable with Ash and Aster taught her how to feed the last bit of the carrot.
"Young Lord!"
Hisha tensed up and growled at the person at the door.
"Hisha its oke, he is a friend, he is my assistant."
She jumped out of his arms and climbed de door of Ash stable.
Aster looked inside and Ash was calm and let her touch him.
"What is it Desmond?"
"The Lord is looking for you and asked to bring the little girl with you."
'Big box bad!'
Desmond saw Hisha sitting on Ash back.
He bowed to her and got a lollipop from his pocked.
She was interested as soon as she smelled a sweet flavor.
She jumped from Ash on to Desmond what made him fall backwards and snatched the lollipop from him and ran back to the tree.
"Hisha!?"
"It's fine, I anticipated that much." Just as Desmond was back on his feet Hisha was back with a apple and she held it up.
"I think she wants to give you an apple in return for the lollipop."
'Big box bad.'
'Hi no go in.'
Desmond took the apple from her and crouched down. "But the Lord wants to see you as well, he is very worried and wondered if you are alright."
'Hi no go in big box bad!'
"What makes the big box bad?" Aster asked her.
'Big box bad! Evil!'
She took off and ran out the stables.
"Hisha!"
"This is not good if she ran from the mansion ground…."
"I don't think so, first let's check a place an then go to my father."
They walked up to the tree. "Hisha?"
A pair of red glowing eyes appeared but didn't come any further then the entrance.
"Hisha, I go in to the big bad box for you and tell father you don't like the big bad box."
"When it gets dark you go to Ash, he will keep you warm."
"I'll bring dinner later oke?"
She threw something from hole.
"Remember what I told you, you can dig if you like, you can go into the garden whenever you want."
She peeked out a little so he could stroke her head.
He smiled at her. "Hisha is a good girl."
He got up and walked away.
'Ast! Careful in big box bad.'
He waved at her and keep on walking.
Desmond took a peek at Hisha and noticed her sad look right now.
"It seems she is sad that you had to leave her."
"That's good, that means I can ease and coach her to get inside the mansion."
"Plus I already found her weakness."
"And what is that?"
"Food, she is food driven."
Desmond chuckled a little.
